You may have seen the spinning jar organizer in my past videos, and some of you have asked for a guide on how to make one. It’s a very quick and easy build, and it offers a ton of compact storage for little things like screws and nails.
If you are going to make one of these for yourself, one tip I have is to use jars with lids that twist off in one small motion, if that makes sense. If the lid requires multiple twists, it can be frustrating every time you use it, and also increases the risk of you accidentally dropping it. Breaking a jar full of tiny objects on your workshop floor is no fun, trust me.
Thank you for the cute video, the pesto jars were adorable.
😂
Too bad we can't order the vitamins in Canada.😢
I'm a paralegal, and I can't believe you recorded the crime. You will be held under criminal law, sir! JUSTICE FOR MR. & MRS. JAR!!
@@CL-we8tn They WERE adorable.
I came for the wood working, but now I stay for the filmmaking. This was brilliant! Your creativity knows no bounds 😊
I absolutely agree!!
:’( at least put them next to each other
my thoughts too :)
Well. At least she kissed him good bye 😂
😢
😂😂😂
I thought the same thing! That was cruel to separate them like that🙁❤️🐝 lol
But will moustache ever see ribbon again? 🥺
I hope this isn't the end of the story! They need to be next to eachother. ❤
that's what I was thinking!
Okay...now you've done it: You've conned me into watching my first-ever commercial on UA-cam! As i have commented before, you, sir, are an artist, pure and simple. A talented filmmaker who also just happens to be a skilled woodworker. I eagerly await each of your videos. Thanks for your efforts...and for sharing your many talents with us!
Same! 🙌🏻
Very clever way to incorporate your sponsor, I'm sure they're extremely pleased with your video content. You are a very skilled individual that leans toward perfectionism (which I can truly appreciate and admire). Also your videos are so relaxing, just my vibe.
QUIT BEING SO DANG TALENTED AND CREATIVE AT EVERYTHING YOU DO, SHEESH
😂😂
I was fully invested in this jar drama ❤
I love the woodworking on this channel a lot, but the cinematography is on another level. The match on the spinning shot where the jars suddenly fill up, the unexpected time-reversed shot, the incredible horror sequence of going through the house... I love this channel so much.
“One of us, one of us” chanted the other jars. Brilliant video once again!
Loved the film! The Drama! The Dialog! The Cinematography! Sublime! ALL. THAT. SALSA! wait.... what? I thought this was an emotional piece about the angst and exsistential crisis of the modern man! He can't be useful, until he is completely empty!
This was a woodworking video? lol. Thank You, I needed that today. I'll watch your product presentations, any day.
This was so unexpected but I loved this so much omg. I don't know *how* you make the process of building a jar organizer this beautiful and entertaining, but you pulled it off perfectly. Even the transition to ad at the end was so smooth and enjoyable!
Such a deep story, such rich characters. Especially with the dramatic shots and stop-motion, this was beautiful. Truly moving 👏
Andy, your sense of humor is fantastic! I rush every time I see you have posted. 💕
This was very well put together and entertaining. The best product placement I've ever seen on UA-cam.
Your a great film maker, designer and woodworker. Ive wondered why I can watch your videos repetitively and now i know. Keep it up.
Clever as always. Brilliant jar animations/personification. Btw, 100+ year old hack from our 1895 home’s basement workshop. Still genius!!! Used baby food jars on ours.
It goes without saying your wood working skills are excellent.... And your product placement is genius in this video.
My dad used to mount the baby food jars to the underneath of the garage shelves. This was clear back in the 1960s. He restored antique airplanes.
I aspire to your level of organization and resourcefulness in my workshop! A series like this would be amazing
Love the hack!
I enjoyed the 2 talking pesto jars! Very funny, quite unexpected, and very creative!
Thank you so much for this entertaining video!
Ok this was by far the most creative build video style I've ever seen 😂
Good idea. And great editing. 👍🏼
its really cool to see people still doing this. i think people have been doing similar for almost as long as jars have had metal screw lids
Very fun. I’ve always admired your jars.
Very, very cool!
This video was a work of art!! Not only are you a great woodworker, but you are a terrific filmmaker too. This easily rivals any best horror/thriller short... Your attention to details, preparation of each video's narratives and filming angles/effects, and witty humor make you stand out from other UA-camrs. Keep up the great work!!! 👍
Very creative and a product ad as well. Hope Mr. & Mrs. Jar live long and useful lives.
This is a really nice take on all of your craftmanships, not just woodworking, but also storytelling, edting and filming craftmanship. Good stuff!
My grandfather and dad used the same method. Not the spinning access, but jar tops screwed onto work shelves to store all the lil bits n pieces.
❤ all your videos!
That was cute, hilarious and helpful. You must have been eating red pesto for months. 😋😄
This is a really good short film! It has that extra atmosphere of horror and dread and surrealism at the end to really make it an Art Film!
I love all your videos! ❤ You have loads of talent for woodworking as well as filmmaking! I would watch a short movie made by you no matter what it was about. 💯
Dash, I have always loved this idea. You could use whatever size jars you need, even plastic ones. THANKS (those spaghetti sauce mason jars are also great, I would say better because they are kinda squared)
This is Andy, not Dashner. 😁
Awesome short video and clever segue to a sponsor. Love your film work.
who needs satellite tv when you have this level of entertainment on youtube
Wow! This was so cute 🎀
Love this little short, though sorry the jars got a divorce😢. Hopefully they can work it out and get back together. Great sponsorship and integration into the video. Looking forward to the next restoration project ❤
Absolutely adorable, riveting, engaging, excellent film making. ❤
Very creative and interesting film Andy! 😉😊
This was such a great video to watch! Held my attention until the very end! Great job!!! 😍
I do not do any woodworking, but I love your videos...
Mr. Pesto's final plunge into the water had me in stitches!
Simple , recycling and useful what more could you want , now i just got to get loads of jars and start putting them together 😊
Thank you hope more videos to follow 🙏
I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed watching that! 😂😂😂 💛🏴
Always liked your jars, I should try to fix my garage the way you do. BTW, I didn't know you could find 'Fior Fiore' products there! They are quite a good Italian brand here. 🙂
This was the most adorable sponsor ad and cool way to store bits and bobs!
Brilliant!
Another under represented and talented Canadian filmmaker! Very cute!
the best thriller movie that I've ever seen
Next a recipe video, please. How did you use that much red pesto?
Pasta for months 😂
This was a wonderful detective story about Mrs. Bow and Mr. Mustache. You did it, the dramatic music underscored everything. Very funny 😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤
Clever is clearly a person who recycles, repurposes, and restores. At least the mustache survived. 😅
Love it ❤ Once did this as a fun project with my brother. Not in that circulating way but in vertical hanging like that one was also shown. I used it for spices ❤
Even a laugh at the end. Your creativity is boundless!
That was fun. Creative. “He’s never gonna use all that scrap wood”. Haha!
Very original 👍
A hoarder with great organization skills 👌
WOAAAAAHHH the transition at 4:12 so cleannnn!!! i laugh way too hard at those poor jars omg
I totally giggled through out this! I love repurposing materials and horror films so this was right up my alley XD
OMG! My granddad had jar storage in his garage. He’s been gone for 61 years so while this is not new, it’s still a good storage technique. Thanks
i never thought you’d go into horror
When I was in 1st grade we made this type of screw or nail holder out of baby food jars & gave them to our Dad's for Father's Day. He had it hanging in the garage until he sold the house.
It's a great idea & works!
Thanks! 👍
Murdarah!
But a great video, as always! LOVED the transition from empty jars to filled ones, extremely smooth!
Who's Steven Spielberg or Chris Nolan next to Andy??
Craftmanship and movie making at such a great level!
Congrats, mate!
And thank you for the content!
the vertigo shot on the jar was fantastic. came here for a calm woodworking video, but was met with a delightful horror short story and clever sponsor placement. kudos to you, friend! your filmmaking and editing skills continue to get better and better!
Das war das witzigste und unterhaltsamste Product Placement, das ich je gesehen hatte. Ich warte aber sehnlichst auf das nächste brillant restaurierte Möbelstück!
You have the most creative filmmaking style. It is incredible how you segued into the ad. Brilliant!
Wow nice to see how your content has evolved!
It would be really cool if you could make lava lamps out of the jars or do some cool lighting effect with them.
I hope they get to see each other again...😭
Please put them back together 🥺 Genius hack by the way 😄
I actually thought the pesto company was your sponsor and that we'd see a sauce-topped crime scene of steaming pasta at some point. But your way was less gruesome than my imagination, so good on you for another delightful video.
brilliant video! Alfred Hitchcock would be proud!!! Great idea with the storage too. as always, you are awesome❤️
i use plastic peanut butter ones 1. i eat way more peanut butter than pesto. 2. they don't shatter if i eventually drop them. The spinning construction is just genius though, simple and practical.
Poor Mr. and Mrs. Pesto. A cruel fate...
But a great video as usual!
I like many others had wondered how the jar storage spinner was made. Thank you for sharing. (I do think the jars should be happier as they have attained a second use which didn't involve having to go thru the recylce process. And still better weren't carelessly discarded in the trash). But I do ask that Mr. Moustache Jar & Mrs. Pink Bow Jar are housed next to eachother. Love your videos.
Great video Andy. You’re looking very buff 💪🏻 too btw ☺️
Nice guns!
First, I subscribed to your channel for your craftsmanship. But I really came to appreciate you for your workshop. It reminds me of how organized and frugal my dad was with his tools and supplies. 😊 Seeing an artist's process tells you a lot about the artist.
Cinematic masterpiece
I'm never going to be able to eat pesto ever again! Those poor innocent jars! 😭
Better than Hitchcock movie. 😁
You are so clever! Well done sir.
This is a genius short movie!
Oh my Gosh, I've been waiting and hoping that you would show us EXACTLY how you did this because I'm working on doing this in my basement so I can store all of my screws, nails, nuts, bolts, dowls, and many other odds and ends just like you have! What a genius way to not only store and organize things in your workspace, but also save jars from going to the landfill AND saving money so you don't need to buy big storage bins! I'm impressed with your work, Andy! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this with us! You are very skilled and talented I love your videographic creativity too! Keep up the great work you do! It's ALL very impressive! 😊
My dad did this 60 years ago!
Your videography skills are fantastic!!
The wire wool tash 🤣
They deserve a happy ending - same row, next to each other
Loved this!!
Bom dia. Adorei sua idéia! É sempre um problema, arranjar um lugar, para guardar parafusos, pregos, porcas, etc.
Fazendo assim, além de deixar tudo organizado, fica muito lindo!
Ive been doing the trick sith the jars and i love it. Have to have a few spare lids too for bringing the jars when i go anywhere but the spinning aspect i may need to look into
Good stuff, Andy!
i'm entertained. i loved the storytelling aspect. love❤it
How funny! (And I was just thinking that it would be cool to see how that was made!)
Well, that was jarring for them!
Well played. 👍👍
My father had exactly that jar setup in his workshop many years ago. Vey neat and tidy.
Thought for a moment those were jars of crispy Asian chili sauce (one of my favorites, great on smashed cucumber salad!) So glad to know that Mr. & Mrs. Jar went on to lead new, exciting and useful (after)lives! My dad, a "fixit" guy who could do/build/stain anything (and did while I was growing up) would have loved this setup. He had something similar in his basement workshop! * memories *
man you are on a different level fr
Based on the contents of the matching jars, I would love any dinner you prepare. And videos, furniture, art, etc.
