- I upgraded a $600 electric mountain bike from Walmart (Hyper E-Ride 29er) with $2300 in parts and named her #ProjectBanshee. The seller of my Bafang BBS02B mid-drive motor (Bluenergia E-Bike Store on AliExpress) sent me a replacement display (500C), because the one that I ordered (SW102) would not power up. Now I can adjust the power assist settings of my motor on the fly, without stopping to pull out a programming cable and mobile phone. Thanks for the video and links!! Is the walk mode part of the ERide or the upgraded display?
The stock E-Ride's controller does not come with a walk mode. All that is left from stock on #ProjectBanshee is the frame and battery.
@@MrOscillot so can I get the walk mode by upgrading displays?
@@TimPlaster22 you may need a new controller for that. But with a little research, it shouldn't be too difficult. An upgraded controller would most likely also support a throttle. Check out the Hyper E-Ride owners' group on Facebook to see what others have done.

@@TimPlaster22 apologies, I misspoke. The stock e-ride controller DOES come with a walk mode. That's the button that says 6 km/hr on the LED display.
