  • This Hyper Mid Drive 29-inch EMTB is even bigger of a beast than my hardtail. Well built and upgraded parts versus what we are used to from a big box bike.

    Awesome video! Thank you. Just bought a 29er mid-drive full suspension @ $999 on sale also.
    I'm a road biker, this is my first MTB. Looked cool, and like a great deal. So far super happy. I live in Vegas & definitely need a MTB guide, so I'll be looking for your tours.
    Good luck man!

    Nice bike. I didn't know hyper was coming out with a mid drive mtb? This is a really nice option for those who don't want to spend $3k on a Giant which is what I was going to do since there is a Giant retail store in my town (Reno). Some folks just want to dip their toes in the ebike world and this ebike is a great entry level introduction to ebikes.

    Killer bike, I envy you in USA for bike and new car prices, 999 USD for this bike well here in EU for such price you get rear hub motor with worse components (worse fork, tires etc.).

    I’ve been looking for an affordable mid-drive for a while. This looks like the answer. I have several hub drive ebikes plus one Giant Bafang mid-drive conversion 35mph hot-rod, but couldn’t bring myself to paying $2,500. at a minimum for a brand name mid-drive ebike. This may be my answer. Plus if I don’t like it can easily return it to local Walmart. BTW, I also got the Allstate 4-year warranty for additional $77.00. No other ebike suppliers offered me such a warranty and I have good experience with Allstate/SquareTrade! KevCentral needs to also review one of these. I’m surprised he hasn’t none it yet. My bike arrives on 6/25. Hope FedEx doesn’t break it! Happy biking and good luck with your new venture!

    Is it a straight 1 1/8" or modern tapered headset/steerer? Cause that $75 coil/preload fork would have to go and straight forks available nowadays are basically low-end solo air recons that run $250-300.

    • @VegasHyperAdventures

      I am not sure at this point. But yes will be replacing eventually.

  • @TheFreshPeddler
    @TheFreshPeddler Рік тому +2

    Brakes are super easy to tune if everything is straight... just tighten barrel adjusters all the way down, loosen the position bolts over rotor, then squeeze levers while tightening. It should only take a few minutes.
    For $50 you can buy new hydraulic brakes or some cheapo cable actuated hydraulics for half that which are still better than tektro mechs imo. Xtechs are hard to beat for the money. They should come stock on budget bikes.
    Bikes are too easy to work on to take to a mechanic. I'd rather spend the money I'd pay them on tools, stand etc.
    You don't learn when you pay others to do it and you don't necessarily know if they did something right.
