i love it. The sound of anxiety. ❤
This is fantastic. Captures a certain period in DnB. Seeing all these old legendary DJ's when they were young is nostalgic. And the fact that these two were such dope heads yet so committed to the craft is impressive/funny.
You can still smoke and be productive
I bought this CD/DVD combo back in 2004 at Tower Records. I still have it today and I don’t plan on selling it.
1:01:30 tipically this kind of track you discovered at the party ans then tour head was up in the sky !! I miss my 25 years old
In those days every dnb track had a "story" and it pointed somewhere. You could imagine you are flying, or running or anything else. Novadays the modern neurofunk has nothing, just makes you an idiot, because of over-complicated mash-ups and cross steps. Good old golden times!
There is a vast sea of gems waiting to be discovered.
i dissagree mate, i love the old era but there are plenty of bangers in the modern Neurofunk scene.
I hate bs boomer takes like this, its completely unfounded. This guy knows nothing about neurofunk
@@TheAssainGuy How about I tell you that people just dont like the direction what dnb took after about 2010?
I agree. Most modern neurofunk is technically amazing but over-produced, as if the producer is trying to show off to other producers. Ends up sounding one-dimensional and losing the rhythm, build up, innovation and soul that was there originally.
Earlier neurofunk was creative and diverse. I think it started changing after Noisia came on the scene. They are excellent, but because their production is so complicated, choppy and switches so much, it spawned copycats taking that sound to the bland extreme.
There is still great neurofunk around. But so much is bad. Having said that, its nowhere near as bad as the state of UK jump up.
i love these two
That's why I'm always talking about bringing Old School back. These days for me, I'm producing, Old School with a touch of New School. I love it too.. Even though I've been a DJ for over 20 years, I've only been producing full time for 2 years so far now. Knowing I"m like 20 years late in the game on being a producer. Unfortunately, everybody these days wants to be a DJ and Producer..To me it's unreal of how many people are in the game nowadays when it comes to Dance Music. Production is almost out of control these days, Pushing the boundaries constantly. Me..I'm just producing what I know I like, what I know sounds good, and what I would throw down on a DJ set. Whatever else comes my way after that, then cool. I don't really see me going anywhere. It's a Dream I've had for a longtime. But...I'm not holding my breath. LOL...
Similar to me. Started DJ'ing house on vinyl, 2x1210s and a cheapo mixer in 1996.
FFW to 2012 and sold my decks, spent the money on koi carp.
Tempted back into DJ'ing every now and again but I always tell myself that a) It's a young man's game and b) If a US import double 12" was £12 in 2006, I dread to think how much they are now.
Then downloaded a DJ app in January 2023 out of boredom and my mind was blown to smithereens by the looping facilities, literally opens up unlimited possibilities for today's DJ's.
Very nearly re-immersed then. Probably would have if hadn't downloaded this incredible app called "Caustic". As soon as I saw what it could do, I bought the pro version.
Literally a DAW on your phone.
Mind blown yet again. Spent a year learning basic theory and finding my way around the DAW.
Wishing I had started in my 20s or 30s.
I have made about 15 incomplete tracks which are mostly terrible.
I've actually finished 3 house tracks now. These will be uploaded to my channel soon. One of them, I think, is really good. The other 2 are average.
Since, after a year, I'm still not bored of it, I am upgrading to FL or Ableton as soon as I have the funds for a decent laptop.
Keep on keeping on.
Two weeks later…how’s your career going?
Make the music you want to listen to - don't make music for other people, it never works out for the long term
This is so dope thanks for making it available here ❤
Oh my god this is amazing, what a great time capsule. These guys were so dumb and young, and having so much fun.
absolute legends! these guys really helped Neurofunk become what it is today!
Enjoyed this!
Nice to see you here Finalfix, learning from the best 😂
Legends.. 🔥
It's 2024 now - we had a new Ed Rush LP in March this year 🔥
Dope 😂

36:00 sounds like black label parties in Paris about 2003'S at péniche Concorde Atlantique and Cabaret Sauvage.
Best fucking parties of my life. Big up !
Pendulum... the track is Punchbag and it's such an underrated tune that stays in crate for me.
I went to inspirational tribe rave when they squoted the roundhouse
ROHSTOFFLAGEr!!!!
Our dnb grandfathers.
Don't suppose you have the original CD & DVD of this for sale, do you?

Thumbnail looks like a young David Bowie 😂
I give them props for becoming the only people to become millionaires from DNB. I guess Goldie is also very very rich mind you.
Chase and status?
Andy c?
Lol. The only people? Yes on average dnb isn't the kind of music to make millions from, but there are definitely more than a few who've managed it.

Most Neurofunk is absolute shite
Virus is not comparable to No U Turn. Nico was the real genius. Wornhole was a massive disappointment. I recall asking Ray Keith at Blackmarket Records, who played it for me on promo 'is this really Ed Rush'? I couldn't believe just how bad the album was compared to Torque.
We’re all entitled to our own opinions I suppose, but this is a very bad take.
Offft, not knocking No U Turn, but the Wormhole sound was unbelievable, just a matter of sound preference I guess.
And yet here you are watching a documentary about them.
Word.....

I cannot believe what I just read. Nico cool....No U Turn..Cool but ..I'm sorry, but your a disappointment for saying the Wormhole Album was a disappointment. Man everywhere I go. Doesn't matter if it's online or in the Real World. No matter what, there's always got be a hater somewhere in the mix, and my friend you sound just like a Hater. Haters gonna hate. If you got something negative to say the mufucka don't say anything at all. Oh wait..I forgot ....Your a HATER I hate myself for responding to this. Whatever.
