The whole 'I'm a gentleman' thing is there because of that. He's a gentleman as long as he doesn't ruin the lady's honor aka kissing her, etc. It shows how much he yearns for her and I love it :D
@@lorettabes4553 also Kate never declared herself available to court or marry. So even though Anthony wanted her, he was respecting her choice to be unavailable.
Omg I was reading the second book (haven’t read the first one) and thought I was going crazy, defo fits better and I wish they had used it although we did get great quotes this season
I think they gave him an ever better one from his book. You’re the bane of my existence and the object of all my desires! It wasn’t a line in the book but a description of his thoughts, but i loved that they turned it into one! Much better than “I burn for you”
*Edwina doesn't love that man!* She loves the IDEA and THE FALSE REPRESENTATION OF HIMSELF that he put out to court her. Edwina even told Daphne in episode 4 that she thinks Anthony is "even-tempered". Anthony is more uptight and high-strung than anyone else in the show. 🤣🤣🤣
been saying the same thing. I hate how they made Edwina so oblivious (dare I say even a bit stupid) to the fact that these two have feelings for each other while in the book she tells Kate that she is "thrilled, overjoyed and not even one tiny bit surprised" after Anthony announces his engagement to Kate. This season they actually made it seem like the two sisters were competing for Anthony whereas in the book it's more about Kanthony navigating throughout their relationship. I do hope there are certain things from the book that we'll see in season 3
THIS. The self he presents to her isn’t his true self. It’s a very filtered version of himself. She can’t love the real Anthony b/c she never knew the real him. Only Kate breaks down his walls and sees past them.
@@lizzzaaas6004 while i do find edwina more likeable in the book, i do understand and almost prefer the changes that were made with her in the show, even if it fell short on development. Above all, i just think its better that they actually gave her an arc when she was originally nothing more than a plot device in the book. The final result is clumsy and it does feel like a competition, sadly. I'd go as far as to say that there were too many scenes propping up kate at the expense of edwina. We understand thoroughly why kate is deceitful but we barely get an understanding of edwina's side of the story. In the next episode, The Choice, its clear to see what the writers were *trying* to do with edwina and while it obviously didnt quite land, im still more pleased that they took such a risk with her character. For me i dont think they should have stayed with the book but they should have leant way further into the changes. More scenes that showed us what she was truly thinking because i imagine she was going through the same angst daphne went through as the diamond of the season with all its pressures, the confusions of the elusive true love match, and the dillema of weighing it up with duty. Just more scenes where we could clearly understand edwina and her inner monologue. Thats all i needed.
That line. You are the bane of my existence and the object of all desires. Nah. Don’t say you burn for me. Tell me that I’m the bane if your existence and the object of all desires.
During the dinner with the Sheffields, did you guys notice how Anthony only went beast mode when they started attacking Kate? He was constantly watching her reaction and saw how hurt she was. He was defending her, not the Sharmas. Also I love how Anthony kicks the Sheffields out of a house that is not his but Lady Danbury's lmao.
I did! And I think Colin’s outburst to Will was a parallel, he knew Will was right, but he didn’t want Penelope’s family’s reputation to be ruined again until he sure he could protect Pen (and then he went and ruined her reputation anyway by making fun of her so maybe I’m grasping at straws here)
Yes “Didi” means “elder sister” in Hindi, “Bon” means younger sister in Bengali, and “Appa” means “dad” in Tamil. As you can see they kind of mixed in multiple Indian languages. 😂 I think it can kind of be explained by the fact that theirs is a blended family and they’re from Bombay which was pretty multilingual/cosmopolitan. Anyway, point being, kinship terms & terms of respect for older sister/brother and other elders are common to all Indian languages.
Ever since i watched Anthony Bridgerton say “you are the bane of my existence and the object of all my desires” to Kate Sharma, I have not been the same.
Yeah, this is the same man who said “He wasn’t a man of poetry” which is probably true BUT. All it took was the wright woman and the words just spilled out of him any time he was alone with Kate. Clearly Anthony feels like he can speak honestly and from the heart with Kate. That’s obviously a very high level of respect and trust he has in Kate.
honestly i never actually thought edwina loved anthony. i think she loves the idea of him and is physically attracted to him, but i think part of the reason she isn't able to realize kate and anthony's feelings is because she herself hasn't experienced love and i think she was too young when her father died so she doesn't really remember what it was like to see the love between her parents. the only people who notice what's going on between k&a are the people we know have been / are in love. daphne, violet and lady danbury. sure, we don't actually see lady danbury's backstory but she tells kate she has loved and lost. she's a widow. so yeah, i don't think edwina actually knows what love feels like, yet.
Yes. Plus she is totally blind to Kanthony's yearning & stolen looks because to her, the notion of that kind of betrayal by Kate is unthinkable. Edwina has always looked up to her sister & has always implicitly trusted her. Just imagine a member of *your* immediate family of whose loyalty you wouldn't question for a second (like your mother's etc.). Edwina couldn't see it because sisterly deception was inconceivable to her.
She really isn’t that nice is she? In the book, she thought that since Penelope was on the shelf, that she would never get married (even though in Romancing Mister Bridgerton, the book I’m talking about, Penelope is a little bit older than Kate was when she got married) and that Penelope would take care of her when she is older. When Penelope and Colin were to be engaged, it took Colin way too many times to tell her that it was Penelope that he was asking for her hand, not Penelope’s younger sister. The women thought so lowly enough of her daughter that she couldn’t have possibly been the one to be married.
I don't understand how people got bored with this season. The chemistry is so much better and yeah there's not as much sex but the pining between these two hit so much harder than any sex from season 1. I have like 2 problems with this season and I can't get into them until the end but definitely preferred it over the 1st season and I really liked the 1st season.
I like the first season more in my opinion. When watching, I just never really got interested in Anthony and Kate’s relationship. I don’t know entirely why but maybe it’s because of the whole “I’m courting your sister but I’m in love with you” thing. I was and still am more invested in Colin and Penelope’s relationship. The only thing that kept me watching this season was those two
I honestly can’t fathom anyone liking season 1 over season 2 let alone get bored with it. Season 2 is such a noticeable upgrade from season 1 in pretty much every way possible. And honestly I don’t think I’m in the minority I’m saying that. I think a lot of people who enjoyed season 1 or thought it was just okay got INVESTED in season 2 because now we finally have a couple that we’re looking forward to seeing in future seasons.
Great reaction! I love how Rizzo said: 'she sounds a lot like Anthony' because, well...that's the point. Those two are basically the same person in two different bodies. They had to take care of their families at a very young age after the death of their fathers, they literally couldn't grieve properly because they had to take all the responsabilities into themselves. And since they weren't ready to do that, they were bound to fuck up at times and make mistakes along the way. That's one of the things I love the most about this season: the characters are deeply flawed but also deeply relatable, and their personal growth is as much as important as their love story.
"Didi" is Hindi word for older sister , "Appa" is Tamil word for father, "Amma' is also tamil word for mother and "Bon" is Bengali word for little sister...these are all different Indian languages and it was nice to include these words as a tribute to entire Indian culture and not make them from just one part of India because India is a very diverse country
Yes! Also I think it’s partly b/c they’re a blended family. I think Kate’s biological mother was Tamil and they lived in South India, her father may have been Bengali, and they picked up Hindi from living in Bombay.
@@geekyambi8774 not so sure about this… we’ve had people with Sharma surname… although often clubbed with another surname but not unheard of in Bengalis.
I heard someone make the great observation that season 1 was all about sexual awakening while this season is all about sexual tension. The slow burn is cruel but satisfying
22:02 THANK YOU FOR SAYING SOMETHING!! I love Eloise but she is so high and mighty but yet she never does anything except try to track down a woman who is going against society as well😭
I think I am from the small group that feels more sorry for Kate than for Edwina😅, Kate is for her mother and her sister, but who listens to her, who is for her?
I like that there wasn’t much sexy time this season because the chemistry between Simone and Jonathan is enough to carry the season imo. Again, it’s kdrama tension and those are popular for a reason. It’s like a constant drumroll.
@@PinkPopcast exactly! I was right there with you guys when they were inches from kissing and then pulled away and I’m gonna get vulgar but it was like they were edging lol
Anthony: I am a gentleman. “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.” I’m still cracking up 🤣. Who doesn’t love a good Inigo quote? You guys are hilarious.
Yes, as a South Indian I loved that part!! So many little romantic touches from Desi culture from the Haldi ceremony to the bangle moment to the K3G song!
I have never felt the need to go this hard for a character but hear I am. Why is it that Kate is not offered the same sympathy that Edwina gets? Yes Edwina is adorable and you feel for her (or do I) because she’s stupidly pursuing a man who has told her he will never love her meanwhile he’s falling in love with her sister. But like Kates not exactly having the time of her life. She’s wrestling with these newfound emotions towards a man that she shouldn’t while trying to keep her family from ruin. Nobody gives her the sympathy she deserves. Must I remind you all that by age 18 Kate lost both her biological parents and had to raise her sister while her depressed step-mother grieved and she had to keep them afloat on what little her father left them. She didn’t have Anthony’s wealth or privilege to make it a little less burdensome. It really confuses me how every character gets excused from their stupidity and mistakes yet Kate is held at an unreasonably high standard from the rest. Everyone is like “she didn’t have to give up her entire life nobody asked her too,” she quite literally did have to, had she not done anything and wasted away in her grief they would have ended up penniless and doing god knows what to make ends meet. And Mary sure as hell wasn’t doing the heavy lifting. Also up until this dinner scene and episode six they did not seem to mind having Kate handle all their business so long as it benefited them. The moment her actions don’t go as planned they don’t even hesitate to turn on her. Mary for example, appears quite content being a bystander doing nothing to help with Edwinas season but the moment she finds out Kate screwed up she wants to catch an attitude with her. I’m sorry but sit your ass down Mary you are the last person who should be angry. How absent from your role do you have to be to not notice you are running out of money or that your daughter made a deal with your parents to help save you and Edwina from poverty? Kate looks after her mother and sister without any regret she gives and she gives and those two gladly take from her, they are more than okay with having her be a supporting character in their lives. Not one of them is ever returns the level of affection she gives, they never ask her how she is feeling or what she wants they both just assume things about her and being the parentified eldest child she keeps her real dreams and desires to herself so as to not bother anyone. Kate quite literally has no one looking out for her. And to top it all off Dumbthony won’t stop breathing on her and sending her mixed signals. He’s the one who is always staring at her, he’s the one to initiate all the close encounters, he’s the one that almost kissed her and the very next day proposed to Edwina. He is the reason shit gets this far. The only reason Kate encourages him is because she said she wanted a love match for her sister and in that episode Edwina declares she is in love. He didn’t just hurt Edwinas feelings he also broke Kates heart something everyone overlooks. And not once in this season did someone say “I am sorry, you deserved to live a life we appreciate what you did for us.” Or “I am sorry I was too emotionally stunted that I went after your sister out of my fear of love instead of getting therapy and seeking out a healthy relationship with you.” No instead she gets attacked by everyone close to her and made to feel every insecurity she had of herself for simply falling in love and hiding her feelings. Kate deserved better.
Deadass like Kate got done so dirty imo. And edwina and the mom didn’t forgive her until she got hurt. Like how long would it have taken them to forgive her if that didn’t happen.Even though she was just looking out for them. Plus what upsets me is she told her sister he doesn’t want to Marry for love the bad bitch in red lol is the one who kept pressuring her to behave.
I agree. Anthony has a lot of responsibility in this situation. But he hasn't dealt with his grief which makes it harder for him to identify and act on what he feels right now. Men are not taught to handle their feelings maturely and responsibly. Especially Anthony who had to ignore what he was feeling in order to take care of his family. He, like Kate, had little emotional support from the family, often his brothers are cruel and don't try to understand his side. I think part of the difficulty for both Kate and Anthony is that they don't believe that love is something that can happen and work out for them. I like Edwina, but I don't care too much about her feelings, she'll be fine. Ultimately Kate is my favorite character in all the books, I think she and Anthony need to be protected and find happiness together, finally opening up to the good things in life. Sorry for the english
The thing is just because kate got the "MAN" and not Edwina everyone will feel sorry for the little sister which is kind of laughable because that sweet little sister herself wanted a man who told her on her face that he can never provide love. I gave her benefit of doubt thinking she's young and naive but she broke that delusion of mine in third episode. Anthony clearly was not interested in her and she saw it but what did she do? She put all the blame on kate that because you hate each other viscount is not proposing me .....oh and also said "he's the one I want kate " practically ordering her to do as she asked ...."BE NICE DIDI" . And people also forget that it was not kate's fault that Anthony proposed Edwina in one of his weak moments and clearly regretting the decision afterwards. Anthony was at fault here for making Edwina more and more delusional that he actually cared for her lol. Edwina brigade will always blame kate because some people have comprehensive problems in understanding what is actually happening in the story.
@@serendipity2135 yes exactly. I so wanted to sympathize with Edwina so much but her character kept annoying me and my view on her really soured during her episode six speech. She was saying a whole lot of nothing I honestly don’t know how people thought she showed growth in her speech I only heard the words an ungrateful child pretending to be an adult. She had every right to be angry for what happened at the alter and not being told upfront what was happening, I think I was even with her right to the point where she said why should she have a everything and not Kate. But the things that followed just cemented my dislike for her character specially her half sister comment. Kates biggest fault and the reason for her many f**k ups this season stemmed from her blinding love for her sister. But Edwinas actions towards Kate after the reveal just felt cruel. I started thinking at one point that she was actually more angry at the fact that the viscount who swore off love had fallen in love with her spinster sister instead of her the girl who always got her way until now.
@@awesomesauce2757 Bon is how you address the little sister endearingly. Used mostly in East India/Bengal. Though the way Kate says it sounds more like the French "Bon". It's actually pronounced closer to "Bone"
Rizzo bouncing back and forth while saying, "This is what you want, right?, This is what you want, huh?" is equal parts hilarious and visually disturbing. Love you both.
Benedict is just hella charming, that smile tho The tension with Kate and Anthony is so palpable, idk how everyone else isn't catching on (except for mama Bridgerton, Daphne and lady Danbury ofcourse)
Rizzooo i so agree with you on the eloise thing, I'm shocked people didn't mention it earlier. Eloise literally has the means to do what she wants with all her money but doesn't do anything but complain. She constantly criticizes Penelope's writings which she used to earn money as her family went into poverty, that's more feminist than anything Eloise has done which is just talk. There is an actual accomplished female writer in her community and she chooses to criticize lady whistledown on everything like she's better than her. Ugh, eloise just pissed me off this entire season 😅. Also with Edwina, I felt soooo bad for her. As an elder sister, I couldn't even imagine doing what kate is doing, I would probably leave for India before the wedding knowing me, any sister can relate to that. Our younger sisters are like our daughters in a way so my heart truly goes out to Edwina 😭❤️
Which is why I love (spoiler) When Pen kinda calls her out in the last episode that she actually did something great while all Eloise does is talk about doing things but never actually does anything
The next episode will be the most messy & stressful one yet. So fair warning on that. When Rizzo said “she sounds a lot like Anthony” when Kate talked about how she had hidden the inheritance scheme from her family, he was right. And it’s because they’ve both been through similar traumas & had to take on similar roles that affected their emotional development. The key word here is parentification-both of them lost parents at a young age and had to step up as caregiver b/c their other parent was emotionally unavailable due to grief. Parentification can have long-lasting emotional & mental effects. And they didn’t have therapists or social workers back then. There’s also the added perspective of Kate being the eldest daughter of South Asian immigrants, where she’s under enormous familial and cultural pressure to ensure the survival of her family at all costs. So while I totally sympathize with Edwina & am worried about her feelings too, I hope you all can be empathetic to where Kate is coming from in the upcoming episodes as well. Kate and Anthony for sure make mistakes, but they’ve also been failed by others & by their circumstances, and the beauty of their journey together is recognizing how their pasts have shaped them and learning to let go of the control they’ve felt under pressure to maintain for so long in order to be better to both themselves and others.
Please also be concerned for Kate’s feelings not just Edwina’s. Kate made that arrangement with the Sheffields to financially save her mom and sister which shouldn’t have been her burden- Mary is the parent in this situation, so why has it been left to Kate to take care of this family. Kate literally sacrificing the man she loves so her sister can be happy. Sad.
But kate should have been honest and also she didnt give edwina a choice or agency. She basically treated edwina like a kid and that backfired. Kate isnt exactly a flawless character.
Benedict's snarky comments do add to his cuteness! "When two men get wet together they must wed!"🤣 I will now be viewing future scenes in movies & TV in an entirely new light, thanks Benji! OMG, Inigo Montoya's quote coming out of Kate's mouth👏👏👏
Rizzo's whole reaction at 18:51-19:06😭😂. He literally looks red in the face at 19:05. 19:53 Mrs. Varley walks like she's worned tf DOWN. Those Featheringtons are worrying that lady😂 Another great video guys! Love you both! ❤❤️

Mr. Brooks is an Actor that played Mr. Hurst in the Pride and Prejudice of 1995! 😂. Nice homage! Also buckle up! Episode 6 is a hair-pulling ROLLERCOASTER!
Kate and Antoni keep going off on their own only to run into each other and having these intimate moments... I used to do that at parties, wander off on my own, hoping I'd run into my crush in a quiet spot... My therapist has pointed out this is probably social anxiety but I call it Victorian flirting.
"Lady" is a title given to the wife of a number of titled men. That's why Penelope's sister said "I'm lady featherington now" and why Lady Bridgerton said "Edwina will become lady of the house". They actually WEREN'T already Lady Featherington, they were both "Miss" Featherington. And Lady Bridgerton will no longer in technically be in charge of her children because Anthony is Lord Bridgerton and is in charge of the entire family, as will be his bride.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought Eloise was all talk and no action. I like her character but damn girl if u criticize other people's ideas so much then why don't u do something about it? 😂 My view of her really shifted this season, which is fine. Both eloise and pen are characters that makes people wanna root for them but they aren't perfect, which makes them all the more great.
Benedict came to be one of my favourite characters during this season. He’s hilarious. And the naked scenes didn’t hurt haha. Also I didn’t even notice that was Giles and I feel so ashamed lol
Fantastic episode you two! You’re just my favorites. Poor Rizzo looks like he’s going to have an anxiety attack 😂❤️. Love y’all. Can’t wait til Wednesday!
"Didi" is an endearment used in India which is in Hindi language, it is something younger sisters call their elder sisters out of love and respect. I don't understand how people got bored with this season. Can't wait for more episodes. Love from India
Apparently in the books, Edwina didnt love Anthony - that made me feel a bit better because I was also stressed watching their sneaky convos. Also, absolutely loved the Kris Jenner audio 🤣
I love Edwina! She is the sweetest person and I feel like it's totally normal to be worried for her because she's so young and naive. That is one of the things I liked about the season, I was conflicted while watching because I like all of the characters and don't want any of them to get hurt, but everything they do seems like it's going to hurt them all.
I loved ur video !!! The slow burn is making the yearning and chemistry insanneeeee 😍❤️🔥🥵. I loved that Anthony lost it when mrs Sheffield started going after Kate and Anthony could not stand for it !! That line destroyed us all !!! Edwina is confusing a crush for love . I can’t wait for ur reactions for the next coming episodes !!
If you two were stressed watching this episode, just wait until the next one. 😅 Yes, this season is very different from the first, but I think that’s the beauty of Bridgerton. Because all the siblings have such unique, individual personalities, we get a love story that is completely different each season.
I really relate to Kate’s fierce defense of her family, particularly her sister. As an older sister myself, they really exemplified the dynamic of close sisters. The actresses must have been close on set because man you can feel that love so potently.
Parent trap reference! If I hadn’t watch that movie religiously as a kid I would’ve missed the voice of the nanny and the image of the butler taking the photo. The intensity of this episode was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!!
Didi just means older sister. Traditionally, there's more familial hierarchy in Indian and other eastern cultures, so it's a term of respect, but by virtue of its usage it's also very much a term of endearment. My cousins call me Didi and it was really nice to see it used on TV.
Lady Featherington is maybe one of my favorite characters in the show and I'm always happy to see Polly Walker on my screen. But Jack is maybe not as good of a scene partner for her as Marina was last season.
"Didi" is what younger sisters call their older sisters in Hindi. "Bon" is what older sisters call younger sisters in Bengali. "Appa" is what kids call their dad in Tamil. They just mixed a bunch of Indian languages from different regions without any research and said HEYYY LOOK THEY'RE INDIAN lmao.
I get so excited for your reactions! I came home from work and got my popcorn and wine all set up to watch it 🤣 Also did you know that Prudence’s mom in real life is Dolores Umbridge?! I. Was. Shooketh.
Lol, Anthony was trying to bounce, though. He was trying to bail out of the whole situation until Kate appealed to his honor. By the time he made up his mind and realized that he was not gonna be able to handle Kate being that close, he couldn’t back out.

It’s the way Anthony says “I’m a gentleman” and IMMEDIATELY follows it up with some of least gentlemanly behavior possible ALWAYS
The whole 'I'm a gentleman' thing is there because of that. He's a gentleman as long as he doesn't ruin the lady's honor aka kissing her, etc.

Also used for older female cousins since cousins are considered to be like brothers and sisters in multiple cultures in South Asia.
Ever since i watched Anthony Bridgerton say “you are the bane of my existence and the object of all my desires” to Kate Sharma, I have not been the same.
None of us has dear..... not a single one of us. Now excuse me while I cry in the corner.
Night and day, I dream of it. Lol
That whole declaration was epic, starting with “AND ITS NOT FAR ENOUGH!” The man knows how to get her attention haha! Hopeless romantic!
Me neither
Yeah, this is the same man who said “He wasn’t a man of poetry” which is probably true BUT. All it took was the wright woman and the words just spilled out of him any time he was alone with Kate. Clearly Anthony feels like he can speak honestly and from the heart with Kate. That’s obviously a very high level of respect and trust he has in Kate.
That diner table scene was my favorite moment for Anthony. I think anyone would fall for him after that moment.
Same!
Amen
True
honestly i never actually thought edwina loved anthony. i think she loves the idea of him and is physically attracted to him, but i think part of the reason she isn't able to realize kate and anthony's feelings is because she herself hasn't experienced love and i think she was too young when her father died so she doesn't really remember what it was like to see the love between her parents. the only people who notice what's going on between k&a are the people we know have been / are in love. daphne, violet and lady danbury. sure, we don't actually see lady danbury's backstory but she tells kate she has loved and lost. she's a widow. so yeah, i don't think edwina actually knows what love feels like, yet.
Exactly 💯
Ooo, hadn't thought of it like that, but it's true. Her love is closer to a crush.
Omg so true!!!!
THIS!! such a good analysis
Edwina couldn't see it because sisterly deception was inconceivable to her.
lady featherington may not be nice but I gotta respect the fact she’s a single mother really doing anything to make sure her daughters survive
I agree I don’t particularly like her but I RESPECT her hustle
She makes it very clear. Her loyalty is only to her daughters and I love it
@@joypeaceandhappiness1501 all 3 of them
She really isn’t that nice is she? In the book, she thought that since Penelope was on the shelf, that she would never get married (even though in Romancing Mister Bridgerton, the book I’m talking about, Penelope is a little bit older than Kate was when she got married) and that Penelope would take care of her when she is older. When Penelope and Colin were to be engaged, it took Colin way too many times to tell her that it was Penelope that he was asking for her hand, not Penelope’s younger sister.
The women thought so lowly enough of her daughter that she couldn’t have possibly been the one to be married.
(Unless it’s Penelope)
Also another fact: the "burn for you" line was actually a line Anthony said to Kate in the book, it didn't Belong to simone and daphne.
The tension in this is so fantastic.. and so frustrating 😭😭
Benedict and Eloise are a 💫GREAT SIBLING DUO💫
Love their dynamic to death!
They really are adorable.
I love the Featherington story line. They can be a little annoying at times but overall I’m impressed by how capable Ms. Featherington is.
She’s a genius.
You can see where Penelope gets it
This is a great story line - as they have to deal with a different man each season. Ms Featherington best moments are yet to come in later episodes.
The intensity and yearning is hotter than the sex and this season is better than the first.
yes, and better written too!
Yesss, preach!
@@parvatir3964 Sharma is not a Bengali surname though

I like that there wasn’t much sexy time this season because the chemistry between Simone and Jonathan is enough to carry the season imo. Again, it’s kdrama tension and those are popular for a reason. It’s like a constant drumroll.
I agree, the tension was more than enough lol
@@PinkPopcast exactly! I was right there with you guys when they were inches from kissing and then pulled away and I’m gonna get vulgar but it was like they were edging lol

“You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.” I’m still cracking up 🤣. Who doesn’t love a good Inigo quote? You guys are hilarious.
The pinki finger scene is a tradition in south - Indian weddings where the groom leads the bride by joining her pinki with his own
Yes, as a South Indian I loved that part!! So many little romantic touches from Desi culture from the Haldi ceremony to the bangle moment to the K3G song!
Also a throw back to the pinky finger scene in the first season.
Shonda Rhimes uses it alot, she used to do it in Scandal too
I have never felt the need to go this hard for a character but hear I am.
THISSSS!!!
JUSTICE FOR KATE!!!!
"Didi" is like a respectful way the younger sister addresses the older sister.
Thank you 😊
What about “Bon” (what Kate calls Edwina)?
@@awesomesauce2757 Bon is how you address the little sister endearingly. Used mostly in East India/Bengal. Though the way Kate says it sounds more like the French "Bon". It's actually pronounced closer to "Bone"

Benedict is just hella charming, that smile tho
The tension with Kate and Anthony is so palpable, idk how everyone else isn't catching on (except for mama Bridgerton, Daphne and lady Danbury ofcourse)
Anthony got all riled up the moment Sheffield granny started badmouthing Kate ahhhhh ANTHONY 💙 WHY are you so perfect ffs
We were all respectfully looking during THAT scene 👀
Even though this season doesn't have as much sex I feel like it has way more chemistry than the first.
I have literally watched s2 so many times but why are these reactions so much better pls I can’t wait any longer hhhh
Right their reaction is the best
I know right I hate waiting for their uploads they take too long and I wanna see their reactions NOWWWWWW

When a certain someone says that to her later on, that all she does is talk, I remember thinking "Ouch! She's got you there".

Resolution will come of course, but at that point in the story you can't possibly see how, and THAT is what makes it great. Also stressful to the point where my neck, shoulders and jaws were stiff and sore the next day after bingeing the whole season, but still great.
