- Hello guys and gals welcome back to another video the ST RS Conversion is finally complete the rs turbo conversion has been a success and the cars running Amazingly! few things I wanna say sorry for the mic very windy right now and my mic muff got damaged so doesn't work properly no more! Also sorry for the lack of POV recording it's very hard when tryna get all this stuff done on a time schedule and some of the stuff needed a few sets of hands and so on. Now onto the Figures Yes the car ran 380BHP which for a driveway job and a pre-mapped ECU from another car is Fantastic and is more than enough power for now! The car fueling and air to fuel ratios are perfect and the map itself is a very strong and stable map so I'm not upset I didn't get the 420BHP I was hoping for because If I can now work on all the handling and suspensions upgrade and really knuckle down on tryna put the power down! that 380 should feel like 420. There's no point chasing numbers to hit the one figure you want and you car running like crap and being able to put the power down I could've hit 420 if I added this and that but it would've shot my torque up and my engine wouldn't survive and I'd have to spend more money on upgrading the internals! (I will be doing further down the line) and so on so, for now, 380BHP and 400FT LBS of Torque I'm very happy with.

How the hell did you get the manifold back on boys? I had to change the coolant rail and take the manifold off, now I can’t get it lined up and get the bolts in 😭😭
@@chrisbain9062 you might be getting caught on the oil breather on the left side of engine
@@Richieesgarage thanks pal, it just dawned on me actually that I saw that on a video.
It’s got to all come back off again because the coolant rail is leaking still.
If I undo that banjo for the oil breather on the block will it just lift out then?
I remember when we had all the manifold bolts out it was so stiff to move and we really struggled to get it to line back up again when we put it together.
Makes sense now if that pipe was stopping it all!
@@chrisbain9062 make sure you’ve got lots of light shinning in that area so you can see what you’re doing and you’ll see what’s stopping it
What kinda price has it cost you for all mods to reach that power? I always said I was happy with mine a stage 1 lol but now looking for a little more 🤭 your car looks awesome

I dont understand why guys buy a ST 225 for 10-14 grand and put in it mods for 6-7 grand and have then the power of an RS, when you can buy an Focus RS for 20 grand witch makes for 4 grand 500HP with no problems.
i dont know how it is in the UK, but here in Switzerland it does work.
m0t4rd n4ti0n I mean it cost me less than 2.5k and the car cost me 4.4k so and insurance is 1.6k a year fully modified
An RS would cost me 20k 6k insurance and still be 300bhp stock then would cost me 4-5k getting it to 400bhp due to the RS PRICE TAG on every modified item, but I see where you’re coming from but in the uk it’s a bit different everyone likes being different and an RS is a lot of money

Have you done the block mod?
So did you have it mapped after putting them injections in......when the car was on the dyno was it getting mapped......

Sorry to comment on old video pal but how did you find actually removing turbo from engine bay?? Doing mine atm but doesnt seem much wiggle room.
take off bottom, gearbox/engine mounted from subframe and you'll have more wiggle room
Brilliant video, never seen anything like this for the ST. I have all the main parts for me and my mates to attempt this ourselves, this has spurred us on! I need to figure out the map bit as well as I will be going full RS sensors too. Lots of weird conflicting info out there.... Quick question, did you stick with the standard ST heat shield?

In Australia no plastic cover. Is it the salt and temps up there that the cover is for?

Did you just swop out ecu?what about key programming?did it just start up without?
swapped over but had to pay someone to move my security codes and so on over so it would work with my car!
I miss my old EO ST.. had 2, first one bought new in 2006.. Proper spannering in the cold mate 👍🏼

Good vid m8,I've done this conversion to my st....running revo 4+ 415bhp 440lbft....when u blanked off the record what did u do with the hose that attaches to it? Blank it off? Also regards the actuator the standard one is the best one to use...
I put a bolt/screw inside the recirc pipe and cable tied it shut for now till I sort something and I think an aftermarket one will be better aslong as it’s adjusted correctly and remapped in as boost and torque will be higher
Hi mate, followed your video for a while and you have helped me out with some install tips. With this install, did you remap it again for the new injectors and turbo. Also would u think it would be ok without the RS oil cooler or is it 100% needed. Mine is getting this work in a couple of weeks.
dont need rs oil cooler it just helps, and yeah you need it remapped and u need rs ecu software and rs abs patch or the abs module itself! otherwise car will run really rough multiple lights as you have the rs map and maf senors and so on
@@Richieesgarage its remapped now at stage 2 the company I use will install everything and custom map it like that have with my current map, u dont have ur engine forged do u? Do u think its needed if I want to stay at 400/400 . I am block modded already

If you keep the torque at 400 or less you should be okay, but I guarantee my car is really healthy my old st turbo was mint aswell, and yeah I’m on many of the pages pal constantly posting
@@Richieesgarage my st turbo is on it's way out but it's a used one before I bought it so upgraded to RS. Hopefully I see u post on the groups.

phill solway on standard fuel pump the cars not custom mapped so I reckon it had a bit more in it maybe but it will be getting custom mapped soon

@@Richieesgarage I was told that I would need to fit a k16 or K24 hybrid turbo to map the 550's in so I have put standard injectors in and running modx map as I was told it would be over fueling and running rich
I'm still on stock ST turbo but I have everything else 3"turbo back with decat ramair intake and ecu holder, airtec intercooler and crossover pipe and a plenum. Oh and uprated fuel pump on modx map
