Appreciate it - we are often governed by the budget of the customer, however we do the very best we can to work to the highest standard.
Everything is always hot washed; sometimes the customer hasn’t got the budget for the time consuming prep and paintwork. It’s a shame because this makes them look amazing 💙

Your bang on with the vapor blasting especially if its being painted and even if was gona stay bare , its a nnightmare making sure all the media is cleaned out , dry ice blasting is the way to be honest, but who wants it bare it doesn't stay looking good for long,

I had it happen to me after a clutch change by stratstone Leeds. It lasted about 50 miles before it dropped onto the drive shaft. Scared the shit out of me!

Great video /channel gets better and Better when rebuilding the head I see u used the original valves cleaned up in drill would that be ok to apply to any engine rebuild to re-use valves also would a dry sump kit be ok for road going car with modified engine not just for track use finally doing a great job you guys are smashing it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
In honesty there’s plenty of ways to clean them however on the older engines the coke is far more stubborn and we found this the simplest and best way. We then polish them with some scotch in much the shame way to return the brightness.
It’s all about figuring out the best process and this works for us. It may not be that conventional but if it ain’t broke - don’t fix it!

A great engine build on a St engine and alot of things I didn't know on the liner mods and also when he's cleaning the head of why on porting on the head to get more flow and when he's putting the kollits on the valves why didn't he tap the valve with a hammer to check there seated properly and the collit his got it how it should but an very interesting video on the t5 engine I have an st225 too
Awesome video, these videos give you confidence when you can't visit BD personally, especially when it's for a big expensive job.

This lads spending double what the cars worth lol. Mentalist but love for the car shines through more. When you have a passion and love for a car like we all.do with our Mk2s itsless painful spending 🤣. Basically a new engine after a forge.. Basically takes it back to 0 miles?.

Could you fit all the RS running gear to a non RS/ST focus mk2.5 zs please?
For the 425 package what about an inlet plenum ? Or can the 425 run on a standard plenum ? And will stage 2 Airtec intercooler do ?
We recommend a plenum and ideally an RS Style upgraded intercooler. If you need any more info send us a DM 💙
So are new stock valves & valve springs used in this build or does the build include stronger valves and valve springs if so which brand are you using?

Shouldn’t head stretch bolts be oiled before final torque?
How dose this affect the abs module? When converting to rs ecu software/ sensors?
Love these cars but the engines never last long. Most I see on the market have engine replacements and the shell only done 100k always put me off buying one.
We’ve seen engines over 200k without issue. It’s all about the care and a little bit of luck 🙌

The MK2 Focus ST has lightweight forged pistons, forged conrods and a forged crankshaft as standard from the factory.
So what is the point in this?
the strength of the factory internals are no way near as strong as these such as k1 rods as there are different levels of forging plus I don’t think the standard internals are much good past 300bhp
What has ben studied in to be doing this work?
He’s a mechanical technician and was initially Army Trained; then moved on to this abs went from there.

how well are things holding up at this power level after going to 83.5mm and doing a block mod? ive got k1s and 83.5mm wisecos waiting to go in my block but im on the fence about dartons, liners, or just boring and blockmod. ive messaged yall about buying a linered block but never heard back. likely because im in the states though.

Lots of options: a great first addition is certainly an exhaust or even induction. So many mods to choose from with the little mk7. It’s one of our favourite little toys.
We’ve let Lee loose with a grinder the last few days: I’m sure there will be another update video soon.

We never reuse or refit a Timing Belt - these are brand new Genuine Parts
Somone has to mutch money lol! Or am just bitter cause mine is witting off due to a old bat! 😂 do a fling insurance money at it or do a let it goto copart and go get somthing german again. Decisions
Buy it back and tune: you can always strip the parts off and then you wouldn’t have lost much when you came to sell!

What TF are you doing at 21:13 ? Use the proper tools for the job, using a screwdriver like that on sensitive engine parts is just plain stupid. That "mechanic" is what I call a "led hammer", would never get to touch my car ever.
