The fastest way to recover your combinations:
Pull down on the shackle
Test which wheel is the hardest to turn
Turn that wheel until you hear a click(and you feel the body moved down)
Repeat the steps for the rest of the wheel
Do trail-n-error to find the last digit
The lock opens when I followed these steps.i think it was faster

@@Ohyousunflower Yea, what I said does not work on some models I have. However I tried that on one model and it did work. It depends on the type of lock you have.

These open without even looking at the lock, and quickly. Try it. Pull on the shackle and turn the wheels until you find the number where they're easier to turn. Might take a few tries but you'll get it!
Spent 20 min on trying 1000 with no luck, then stubborn enough to try your method, found the number in 3min! Thank you ☺️

Thank you so much! I used the same combination I've been using for years, could open the lock the first time I used it and the next time my combination wouldn't work. Was worried I'd have to either ruin the Kathmandu bag it was locking, have to find a bolt cutter, or spend hours trying different combinations. I started at 000, and (wouldn't you know it?) the lock finally opened at 920! That makes sense since the set combination was 930, so I was only off by one number. I must have inadvertently turned the shackle 90 degrees and reset the combination.
It took 5 minutes. Unlocked at 219! Thanks very much!

This technique didn't work for me and my finger is now numb. After purchase, I reset the code and tried it a few times and worked fine. Now trying to open storage room and can't open this lock. What options do I have? Can I cut it? Should I get in touch with master lock?

Omg I did it I just applied pressure and spun the dials until one number slid in place then I worked my way up and granted the way I lock my 3 digit locks did help me remember

I tried and spent half hour but was not able to open it, I used the file and it took me 5 minutes to cut this off for good.
Worked! Now I've won and ice cream cause the person challenged me to open it for an ice cream! :)
I accidentally forgot my pin while resetting it... It's locked so it won't close with out the pin
I had that problem. Fiddled with it for a while until it opened but I didn’t realize it had opened so I had to do it again lol
