Just liked his work, warming and heartfelt. And later on we had Raymond Depardon who also did amazing work.
Great video! :) I love Doisneau's work because his philanthropy shines through with a humourus spirit that never compromises his art. If I ever feel down I would flip through a Doisneau photo book. Finished I feel uplifted and with a renewed faith in humanity.
Yes! One of my favorite photographers 😊
love the images you pick as well as the music you choose. nice job👍

I'm not alone, but I really like Doisneau. I heard what was said about the famous kiss ; I dont know if it is true but saying he didn't want to photography a perhaps non official couple is a delicate thought. As was his thought about the shaved women after the liberation. A great and talented man.
Yeah it would be also very time consuming to shot a candid shot like that. Especially when you are commissioned for the work
@@aboutphotography He was a great friend of Jacques Prévert, a famous poète. They saw an accident, a truck with sheeps, a lot dead. Prévert asked him if he made photos, he answered no, he comforted the shepherd..
MB Janus sounds like what I have learned about him.
Why doesn’t anyone ever say that most of Doisneau’s good pictures are "mounted" with extras?
what do you mean?
@@aboutphotography It means that they are two actors on the "Kiss of the Town Hall " engaged to make this photo for example. In fact, they sued him later for rights. But this is not the only photo

I wasn't able to find sources for all names of photographs in english so I used french (oreginal) names. I guess you can still figure it out 😊

Noealz Photo thank you! 🙏😊

Thank you!
Interesting, but your repetitive hand waving is a bit distracting.
I say that as a caring viewer, not as a mean spirited comment.
Fair point. That is something I need to focus on more in the future. Thank you!
