got mine done on my S3 24 mm up grade by whiteline performance UK , makes massive difference , car stays flat on fast bends 10\10
Sweet, last piece of the puzzle.
Nice video guys. You are strong. I follow you from Italy. Maybe stupid question .... to do a great job .... need to disassemble cradle? thank you very much
Gotta be one of the best handling upgrades to any car!
Looks like a way more intense install than in the Q50 though!!
Yes! Huge difference! Definitely much easier on the Q50 for sure!
Great video and 8 have an a3. I have definitely learned alot from watching your videos. I installed a aftermarket sway bar a few months ago and I am ready to pull the trigger on the front sway bar. I reached out to a local mqb shop and they quoted 5 hours at 120 an hour. Does that sound about right to you or is that too expensive?
Thanks for watching. That wouldn't surprise me on the hours. Dropping the sub frame does take some time and honestly that labor rate isn't bad at nowadays with inflation
Thanks man really appreciate your input on this.
5 hours??in 20 minutes the subframe Is down
Did you up grade the end links as well?
I've went with the H&R 25mm and 034 adjustable end links for the R a year ago. Back end feels very planted, balanced and totally mitigated the understeer.
If I upgraded the front , would I induce understeer again?
I did not do the endlinks. I think a matching set of sway bars is the way to go. front end much tighter
I need your help! Im Looking at a 2015 a3 vs a4 both are quatro 2.0t. And i can’t really find any info on the differences... transmission, motor, tunes, etc. I am new to the audi world and am lost. Any advice would help. Literally found two for sale same miles, year, and price.
I gotchu man! My advice... Get the A3 way way more aftermarket support. The Upgrade pathway for the A4 is very limited
@@savagepandaprojects Awesome, thank you for the advice. Going out to look at a few tomorrow. Friend of a friend just bought one a few weeks ago and ran a 13.1 flat with cobb stage 1 only 😳 🤯. Your videos and his runs got me hooked pretty quickly. Appreciate the help, keep up the great videos!
do you have understeering after installing the front bar ? I had the rear as well and thinking about switching out the front.
No issues with understeer I liked the balanced feeling of both bars together
I have the front strut bar installed in my A3, so by getting the front sway bar would increase way better handling on the car ?
Some people argue over this but I think its worth it. Overall less body roll.
Can you change the bushings without dropping the subframe?
I don't think so
should of showed more/ some spirited driving at the end.
Can the front shocks squeak over bumps? I checked my sway bar bushings and they are tight.
Possible I suppose
Not a bad install. Take your time and it'll all go fine.
Love the content and the videos honestly help a lot because I have the same exact cars
Appreciate you checking out the videos! Thanks for the support man
2 questions about steering rack.
1 how many bolts hold the rack to the frame?
2 do you leave that 10mm bolt in or out at top of steering column?
What diameter is the stock sway bar? I can’t seem to find that info online anywhere. Thanks.
After having the front installed for some time now. Would you still start at the soft setting, or go firm right out of the box?
I was perfectly satisfied the way we had it and left it as is! For a daily driver it was just enough for what I was looking for
Hi, after installing did you have decrease in confort daily driving in the city? Thats my fear by installing sway bars, to sacrifice omfort in daily driving in a city with bad an irregular streets, many holes and so on.
Please your opinion. I Have an S3 8V with B12 bilstein kit. And i would like to have my car more planted but without sacrifying comfort
Thanks
Thanks
thanks for watching. I had H&R springs, stock shock, both front and rear aftermarket swaybars. No issues with ride quality at all. Since you already upgraded the shocks, you should be fine. Wouldn't foresee any issues there. Sway bars really just help reduce body roll in corners.
How did you drop the subframe without any engine support bars? Isnt there risk to the engine?
Did you notice the tall jack used in the video?
@@savagepandaprojects Yes but you supported the subframe with it and then dropped it, doesn't engine need any support when you remove subframe?
@@timoteiNitrogenthe subframe doesn’t hold up the engine since that’s under the hood (diff location)
Ever thought of just getting rid of it? ARB's are essentially a component that promotes understeer. It's not actually a great set up at all, more of a compromise over fully independent suspension. Anyway that's my 2 cents
Car is long sold anyway! Lol upgraded to an RS3
I feel like a couple thousand miles after the install, you are eventually going to have something loose in the front subframe. So many bolts were messed with. How is it going for you?
Zero issues post install.
Never forget, when you harden the front but not balance it out with the back, you get more understearing. You should have done exactly the opposite on an Audi, make the back harder and the car loses its understearynes.
This car already had the matching APR rear sway bar 🙃
Yoo I got the 2015 a3 1.8t and I’m trying to find a exhaust that doesn’t cost a shit ton and still sounds decent any suggestions plz???
try to pickup a catback if you can. Would not advise a muffler delete. Resonator deletes basically do nothing. Watch out for knock off cheap downpipes.
Nice mate. Hey meant to ask, what are your 0-60s and 60' looking like. You should do a video on that if you have a dragy at hand. Be great to see how far she's come from stock.
Thanks for checking out the video, so far I've only been able to get low 4 second 0-60s my wheels and brakes are pretty heavy though
That's a noted improvement from stock. What's next? :)
@@joshbrennan8545 needs more power ;)
@@savagepandaprojects Hybrid turbo?
@@joshbrennan8545 maybe!
How much $ including labor?
Phewww that intro thoooo 🔥🔥🥵🥵
Thanks for checking it out Bryce! Glad you liked it! I do spend a good amount of time on Intros so I'm happy to hear the positive feedback 👍
great video, very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Do need to do an alignment after dropping the subframe
We didn't need to
What does the labor time/cost usually run on this install? Feel like it might be worth bundling with other upgrades - thoughts?
depends on the ability of the shop. at least a couple hours. I would say its certainly a well worthy upgrade.
deffo , get the back as well , if just do the back , the car will push the front out on fast corners , upsetting the handling
Is this shop in Jersey?
No, lol charlotte NC
@@savagepandaprojects Lol 👍🏻
@@miggy_moto2383 tech in the video is from Jersey though! Haha
Do you think apr is the best brand for sway bars or h&r or neuspeed or 034, are other options better or about the same
I think they are all pretty good. Id probably do APR or 034. Let me know if you are interested in getting a set. Shoot me a DM I can help you out
@@savagepandaprojects how can I dm you lol, I wouldn’t mind a set of 034’s
@@cjlsniper IG is in the description 👍
I rode a lot of comments that changing rear sway bar is more important than front, because it makes a3 more understeer which is good thing because naturally this car is very much oversteer. Which one in your opinion should I upgrade first?
Lots of people will do a rear bar and call it a day. Understandable. I prefer a matching set as they were designed to work together
@@savagepandaprojects Did you test it going really hard on curvy corners?
@@losio155 I don't drive super hard but yes I did test it out and was satisfied with the improvements. Definitely less body roll and overall more flat on turns.
