My heart skips a beat every time you have new upload. Please, please, please make more vids, your analog adventures capture the beauty and joy of shooting film so well. Cheers, Kevin
Thank you for this great video. I really like the way you share the time it takes to make the analog photos and the beautiful country of Canada. It does make me want to go there again and visit the places and provinces I've not yet been to. And it made me want to do analog again to make me take more time in making photos. Thanks again.
Wow, that was impressive! This was the 1st in the series that I've seen. So, I guess I'll be watching the others too! Thanks for sharing and keep 'em coming!
This was such an amazing video. Thanks for spending the extra effort to capture everything and share it :) Gorgeous landscapes and great photos. Inspires me to go an adventure like this!
I really love the videos you've put out Stefan. Truly inspired me to delve more into film and really work on slowing down my process to make every picture I capture meaningful. I feel a certain connection with the physical processes of film more than the tech-heavy focus of digital. Keep the content coming mate!
Your work is amazing; I really like the way you present things (both visually and verbally) and how you share your own experiences/thoughts with film. Hope you continue to post videos on all things photography. I've never shot film before, but I've dug out my mum's old Nikon N2000 after watching your photo adventures.
Stunning photographs!! I too use medium format and 35 mm with a Leica M3, That orange filter really makes something ordinary look like a piece of art work. I don't leave home with out it.
Hello Stefan, I enjoyed your video thank you for showing your part of the world to me, what make and size is the hard case you have to transport your Hasselblad?
I've recently watched all the Photo Adventure episodes and I kill for some more! There doesn't seem to be anyone else doing film photography videos like you do, I wish you had more subscribers to motivate you to make more.
Fantastic. I now have to get one of those large format cameras. I have started now with a Nikon FM2n manual 35 mm that I am happy about. I hope you can find a good scanner for your larger format negatives.
Hello Stefan.!! I just discovered your channel and after 3 videos, i subscribed immidiately.!!! You have a very nice sense of photography and you share your knowledge very effectively.! Greetings from Greece
Hi Stefan would love to see a video on how you meter your landscape shots using the medium format film to get a all-round good exposure, theres pretty useless videos on youtube about it ?
Great video and you have some spectacular pictures. I have the same problem with my scanner it will not scan large format negatives. That being said my go to cameras these days is either my Pentacon Six TL, a few different TLRs which I love and my Pentax 645. I would love to shoot with a Hasselblad but I could never justify the price point even now.
Thanks for sharing your adventure! About your large-format negative scans: you can use a DLSR to take a photo of it back-lit on an inexpensive LED tracing table, pull the resulting RAW file into LightRoom, then flip the tone curve to produce a positive. I do this exclusively with 35mm negatives. To get the best results, use a 50mm prime with an extension tube, or a true macro lens if you already have one.
hi Stefan, thanks for making this series, it's been very enjoyable binge watching them all. would love to see a little about your scanning and resolution preferences for making prints, as well as using that zorki. 📷
finally a new video :) really enjoyed it. super relaxing with that music. I liked that you captured some viewfinder close ups. I dont mind that zoom in slide show effect when you show photographs, it works. amazing shots!! big respect for getting that close to the workers at the silo and photographing strangers at the lake. those down low shots were cool (in german we call it the frog perspective :D ). how often do you take such trips? Did you shoot any 35mm? I saw a Nikon in the beginning. thanks again, high quality stuff! greetings from germany.
I really want to invest in a 4x5 but its really hard to get processed in Australia, i wish they would bring back Velvia 50 in 4x5, I hope film comes back big sometime soon.
Very nice video Stefan. I'm new to film and wanted to ask, if you scan medium format into a digital file, will it have enough data to let you manipulate it like a raw file from a digital camera? If yes, would any scanner that allows you to scan medium format give you that quality of a file? Thx so much in advance.
Is the music ratatat? Reminds me of them very much! Great video, Hope you make another one like this eventually! You're my favourite photography channel on youtube haha.
***** Ever seen them live? I've heard they are really good live! Pretty crazy considering its just two dudes! haha. That would be awesome man! I'm just getting into photography, starting with film which kinda terrifies me haha. I wonder how many rolls of film I'll go through before I see a decent photo! I've been studying it allot though! Cheers man!
Ah yes I actually watched that video right after this. Really cool videos. I like the way you interacted with people and shared your photography with them. Thanks for the response!
I would have liked to see the pictures frozen in their original frames and not zoomed in on like a powerpoint presentation type. But these are excellent photos, man! Inspiring.
I actually prefer this kind of soft light and soft colors. There are too many "pimped" pictures of Lake Louise, out there.(I'v done it myself with Kodakchrome 64,Ektachrome,Velvia,back in early 1990's)
Stefan Litster I think it is making sense. I'll research on those backs and try to get it more. Thanks for the reply. Any tips on where to start in film photography? Don't even have one yet.
Stefan Litster ohhh... right! I know what a 50mm prime is. I thought you were referring to the film size. My bad. Again, thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.
Hi Stefan, what amazing photos you have there! wow! I'm totally blown away by the sharpness and the beautiful colours and the stunning b&w shots as well! definitely a new subscriber you got here! Which lenses did you use and which film backs did you use? Love to see more of the mountains and more of canada! thank you for sharing! all the way from Singapore.
***** I know its a totally new world for me, starting in black/white so I can develop myself first, but I really want to try shoot some colours too :) Thanks mate, I'll have a look :)

Beautiful shots particularly at Lake Louise! What film did you use for that? It looks like a Fuji

+Stefan Litster Thanks for the good advice Stefan. Do you live on Vancouver island?
+Stefan Litster I moved away in 2006 for work too. Sub'd to your channel. Hope to see more and perhaps meet you one day on the island. Cheers.
Excellent.
Is the music ratatat? Reminds me of them very much! Great video, Hope you make another one like this eventually! You're my favourite photography channel on youtube haha.

You've probably been asked this before, but what is the tripod/head you use? Really enjoy your videos and I see something new every time I watch them.
thanks!
I really liked this video, thanks !
Only one remark : I think the music is a bit too loud. No big deal though
hey there!
how do you bring your pictures on your pc?
Great video. Such a shame the fp100c is now discontinued.

5+
I really like your pictures
5:32 Magenta filter?
Thanks for sharing your photo adventure!
Thanks for the info!
How do you get those hard cases for your cameras?
Those portraits looked really nice for instant film! Did you use a polaroid back for a medium format camera or an instax camera?
Ah yes I actually watched that video right after this. Really cool videos. I like the way you interacted with people and shared your photography with them. Thanks for the response!
I would have liked to see the pictures frozen in their original frames and not zoomed in on like a powerpoint presentation type. But these are excellent photos, man! Inspiring.
yessss!!! your back!!!!

Question: How were you able to alternate between BnW films and color films? Did you use two separate cameras? I'm just getting into film photography.
Stefan Litster I think it is making sense. I'll research on those backs and try to get it more. Thanks for the reply. Any tips on where to start in film photography? Don't even have one yet.
Stefan Litster Definitely. I think it's a great way to be better at the technical parts of it.
Any suggestion on camera brands?
Stefan Litster Thanks a lot for the advice man! I'll look into these cameras. But before I let you go, what's a 50mm prime?
Stefan Litster ohhh... right! I know what a 50mm prime is. I thought you were referring to the film size. My bad. Again, thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.

Stefan Litster between the 500cm and the pentax 67 which would you prefer
i saw that you got the fm2. have you had your hands on the olympus om1 or the nikon f3? would love to see images from them if you have
Awesome ..
If you really want to scan the 4x5 negs you could always scan them in segments and then stitch them together in photoshop.
Brilliant
what scanner do you use?
what is the instant camera?
I need to go to Canada god damnit !
I know I really need to ;) Do you shoot 35mm too or? I'm just trying to figure out what colour film would be awesome to shoot with..
***** I know its a totally new world for me, starting in black/white so I can develop myself first, but I really want to try shoot some colours too :) Thanks mate, I'll have a look :)
PLEASE make new videos! =)
