Test :for calcium ions (adding NaOH ,white ppt, insoluble in excess)
Result: if calcium was in excess i could be found in the filtrate if not found then it is not in excess
heyy i think it wouldn’t be correct as no matter if calcium chloride is in excess or not, chloride ions will be present in the NaCl, so only testing for the presence of carbonate ions to ensure it is all used up or the presence of calcium ions would be correct?
Tmrrw I have paper 6 hopefully it is easy
Me too
me too
Same
how was it
@@craig574 it was good just came back
4:07 can we use the test for calcium ions because the question says to show that calcium chloride is in excess? So we can use NaOH and the result for excess calcium would be white ppt. Can u please explain if this is correct?
i was wondering the same. there wont be any carbonate ions in the filtrate as it is part of the solid.
I agree with you
@@1989_ts lol dats wrong....we can use the test for calcium ions and its written in the marking scheme too
please make more helpful videos like this
My chemistry ATP paper will be happening within 4 hours!!
how was it :)
@@joynado-wn7dk kinda easy but cannot expect a good result
Can you please publish the May June 2024 paper 62 if possible?
13:42 I really suspect that the answer is wrong. Iodide is a reducing agent while dilute HNO3 is an oxidizing agent. Iodide can be oxidized to iodine, which is brown in colour. The solution can actually turn from colourless to brown. Standard reduction potentials can be referred to as well.
Will we be provided with the qualitative analysis in the exam?
yes
this paper is almost an exact copy of may/june paper 61 2023
thank you very much!
In question 4, can we use a gas syringe to measure the volume of hydrogen produced in set time?? Thats a method too right
Yeah it is- then the one with the higher temp. is more reactive.
Yeah it is- then the one with the higher temp. is more reactive.
For 3(g) or the Test 3, no chromium ions are present because it says the green precipitate is insoluble in excess (if it was chromium it would be soluble in excess)
it is still insoluble in excess. what do you mean?
thank you so much mam
Hi may i know do you have the pdf file of this paper?
Oct Nov anyone??
Yup!
Can I calculate the rate of reaction in question 6 instead of measuring the mass of copper, what I did is volume of gas collected/time taken. Is this correct?
Hello in b(ii) why you didn’t take the volume of the experiment 2 12.7
Guys, when is physics paper 4? I wanna make a video of all calculations if the paper is like not this week.
13th of may
Thank you for replying! 🫶🏽
I’ll make a short video on calculations/ formulas to pay attention to before 13th
For some of us is on the 10th of May
@@esternyange8007 In Bangladesh it's on 13th
@learntodayIGCSE Please do make the video quickly
Does this mean we will 100% guaranteed get the tests in paper 6 may/june 2024? Because if not i will have to memorize fully?
Double confirm with your school teacher. They know better 🙌
You will get 100%
Please solve may-june 2024 paper 63
Hey?when will you start solving p2 of feb/march 2024?
When someone sends me the link to that paper 😂🙌🥲
Hi , can you pls solve paper 63 may/June 2024? ❤
For Q1d (i), why did you also write calcium chloride?
because that was the reactant
4:07 The MS rarely uses negative inference; better just add acidified AgNO3, and the formation of white ppt (of AgCl) indicates chloride ions are present, which means that CaCl2 is in excess
Can you sending the pdf and mark scheme?

Are there any suggested notes for paper 6 ?
My suggestion for paper 6 is that you should practice as many past papers as you can
when will you do topic wise revision for physics
I will make summary of calculations but when is paper 4? If it’s like this week then I can’t
Thanks mam for the content it really helps me
Glad to hear that ❤️
