    I have played hard rock/heavy metal for 30 years on guitars and recently learning drums....Today is my first day I gave Jazz a chance and I am already CONSUMED!
    This is a beautiful backing track helping me not only with improvisational guitar soloing but playing my first basic jazz beat to it.
    Thank You so much for creating and posting such a wonderful educational track my friend! 🚬😎🤚 (i still can’t believe I’m playing jazz!)

      there is no lesson when it comes to improv. improv means take what you know and use it in a new way that makes you happy. improv is just playing what you feel and that's why many people can't play it

    • @osenseijedi
      @osenseijedi 8 років тому

      +Pyro321boom While I agree with you that you just have to play whatever you feel like playing, thats not entirely true to say there is no lesson to be having: there are a bunch of very basic rules as well as tips and tricks that can help make the sound better.

      +QuistJam - I'm not sure it's a jazz track, I think it's an RnB singer. I can hear a chorus over those chords. Still can't think of it and my brain is hurting but I'll post it if and when I do:)

      He probably felt that way too at one time. And if you keep at it, some time in the future, someone will hear you play and want to crash their guitar and quit. Just be the best player that you can be. Don't judge yourself by anyone else's level. Just aspire to it.

    Not to be douche bag or anything but the first chord is a Dm7 not a Bm7.. But I'm just saying

    • @QuistJam
      @QuistJam  6 років тому

      It's a Bm7b5 my friend, but that chord does contain the notes of a Dm chord (D F A), however it doesn't contain the C from a Dm7.

    your head and face get more ridiculous with every backing track I jam to, thank you for the backing tracks..... making faces while playing; "pretending" to get more into the track you jam to by making faces on a video every time you bend is....a little ridiculous. Thanks though!!!

    • @QuistJam

      +QuistJam I'm gonna have to completely disagree with james on this one. I think your demeanor when you play is awesome; especially on that c minor Hendrix track. To me it shows you really feel what you're playing. And besides, it would be boring to see you play completely straight-faced and emotionless... Keep rocking man, you rule!
