@@InTheShedUK Thanks! Yes mine is one owner and had been in a garage since 1980 all there all original but seat was changed out for lower profile. 11000 miles but it is locked up from sitting going to put some marvel mystery oil in cylinders and just let soak in.
I had to replace my headlight and bucket as I could not get an OEM sealed beam light. Now I am having trouble matching up the connectors. I do not see colors well and I want to be sure I have the connections right.

Hi, yes I got the wiring diagram from this website: www.oldjapanesebikes.com/mraxl_GT_Resource/manuals/electrical/gt380b.html for version with gear indicator. Or www.oldjapanesebikes.com/mraxl_GT_Resource/manuals/gt380man/index.php for version with neutral indicator only. Good luck with your rebuild.
I’m getting to the wiring stage on my GT250 and absolutely dreading it
Wiring is one of my favourite parts of a build!
Just take you time, study the wiring diagram and label stuff.
Nice work! I just picked up an 1975 GT380 for my winter project can't wait to get started.
Good luck, I hope yours came more complete than mine, I has many parts missing/incorrect and has been very time consuming and expensive to find them.

A multimeter would help to work out what goes where
How to fix correct ignition timing and syncronize cylinders with point breaker?
Please see my other video on points breaker ua-cam.com/video/0nWEn7p68Y8/v-deo.html
Customary to find the ignition control box under the seat or somewhere up top its dry side.
The control box is a sealed potted unit, I am sure it will be fine in any location.
No fly wheel? How does that affect the running of the engine
Not sure what you are referring to?
