I don't think I'd have enough patience to do that monotonous job. Maybe once you are actually doing the same thing it becomes like a rhythm and not as frustrating as it looks... Have you tried the Pferd chain saw sharpeners? Even though they're manual, they will sharpen just as fast (faster if the rakers need filing), take less metal off so you will get more sharpenings per blade, and it takes the raker down at the same time if it's needed. And since it doesn't need power then you can sharpen in the field without taking the blade off.
I never learned how to sharpen saws , is it easy to use ? What I used to do is own 6 chainsaw blades and always drop off full blades to be professionally sharpened but God willing I will be building a homestead in remote Alaska so there will be no professionals I can take my blades to

I was told to do the bar flip when servicing the chain as well. It really seems to make a difference.
