Hey Group, It’s been busy here, I’ll hopefully be able to fill you in on all that is happening in a few months. Filming has started back up and we have some awesome survival vids that will be posted soon that you are sure to enjoy. Throw some ideas in the comment section if you’ve got a cool idea, remember to buy some Grim CARDS from the link in the description for Christmas gifts and thank you to all that watch / share these videos. I know that times are tough, but our grandparents and great grandparents made it through worse... and so will we. Take care everyone and as always... Until Next Time, Bob Hansler
I gotta place you can visit in California. Great area for video also. Free room and board. Only payment is show me everything I can eat in my neck of the woods. I would take notes.
When he said his eye was still dead. :,( I can't imagine. My heart dropped when you told us the news about how you suddenly went blind and I cried hard, every video I see after that news fills my heart with joy.
Greetings from Germany. Watching your videos since a while and i have to say .... you have a great soul. Thank you for sharing and please take good care of yourself. We need you! :)
Hey Bob big fan of Your channel I love watching your videos when I have a badd day or I'm feeling down your videos always cheer me up And I always learn something new every time I watch your videos
Man......reminds me of back in the 70's when we were kids, me and my friends would walk around eating wild mulberries, peaches, pomegranates, and of course plenty of pecans.
Bob so glad to see you are doing better and that you are out and about doing what you love. May God continue to bless you and all that you do young man.
When I lived in Indiana one of my favorite things as a kid was going out and collecting paw paws, raspberries, and mulberries. Good stuff found around where I grew up.
Literally lol when you said that if you had bad taste and don't like pecans. Hey brother, even Helen Keller knew the deal when she said and I quote " Life is either a daring adventure or nothing" Hoping your doing well and awesome to see you again.
God bless you sir! All that you deal with in private, yet you still feel called to spread the knowledge you've accumulated over your life with others who would follow your example. You have a genuinely giving and wonderful soul. That is rather rare these days.
Its good to see you back again. Hope you get well soon. Your videos on survival are very interesting to me. My wife freaks out when she sees me eating wild berries from our back yard or me eating them tasajillo. Lol!! She thinks im crazy. But all I can tell her is that's it's edible and mother nature will provide when it comes to survival. Be safe out there and I'll be waiting for more interesting videos on survival.
Great vid...glad your back....your more then a survivalist...your a overcome! May your feet be sure on the trail and your campfire warm...but also the campfire tales...are true!
I'm so glad you have huck. He now has becomes your eyes as well. Love him and hold him at night. Love you bro. And feed the puppy something he likes ;-)
You are one of the righteous people I’ve ever seen! It always makes me happy and calm when I’m watching your vids, especially now since I’m a college student. Keep it up man and thank you
Those pigs taste nice off those pecans and u did a great job finding those few. 👌 ..I asked some stuff but u answered them at the end lol.. I should wait till the end b4 I write my comments hahaha I'm SO HAPPY FOR YOU AND THE TEXT MSG U WERE ABLE TO READ!
I was fortunate to have a temporary job in Alpine last year - Big Bend was incredible even though the fishing was terrible. I was there February thorough May and wished I could have explored the Davis Mountains more and have taken the wife to BBNP. The Chihuahuan Desert preserve was gorgeous, but the pots of water (small circular ponds that pop out of nowhere) always vexed me. Can we get a video or series about the unique flora and fauna surrounding those pots? The last hike I got to do was the big mountain trail behind the Fort Davis Historic Site. I was with a BP agent and an EMT when the thunder storm from hell popped up! Great story! Sadly, I accidentally deleted the videos!
Dear bob, i was already impressed by your skillz and attitude before, but now i can only repeat what i have said in the past. : when hell breaks loose i hope the i meet someone like you. My deepest respect, to you an yours. It takes a real strong and positive character to cross all obstacles and trenches in life and terrain while keeping smiling and thinking „ could be worse „ . Thanks a lot for sharing and providing your knowledge, you belong in the same league like mors and lars , and all the many good guys out there . May god bless you and yours, stay well .
Great to see you back. Those leaves at 10.00 look like bicycle saddles. Man watching Huck, he has also missed the walks, he is never more than a few feet from you at all times. Dogs are natures angels. Please recall stories of Huckleberry running to your defense while out in the sticks. Would love to hear them.
Hey Bob! Great to see you "back in the saddle" again, brother! Really a great, fun, informative video. Like all of your followers, I am so very thankful you're having such good success with your eyesight recovery. I too am currently suffering a fairly serious illness since August and it's really hampering my ability to make youtube videos. I'm seeing all kinds of docs and having all kinds of tests; I know you can relate. Anyway, thanks again for allowing me to use your Texas Persimmon Tree video earlier this year, and once again, I'm just delighted you're back! Prayers answered for sure!
I'm glad you're doing well. I'm late to this video because youtube algorithm didn't tell me. Always enjoy your videos, and always enjoy getting to see Huck living his best life. =)
I’m so excited for you! Please stay healthy and safe my world wouldn’t be the same without your videos, you remind us up here in the cold north that there’s beauty and bounty in the deserts so far away, thank you for making these videos, take care of yourself, we all care so much about you!
Hey Bob, Noah here from Waller, Texas. Great to see you back. Missed your videos. How is Bri?? she stopped making videos? What happened? Again /... its great to see you making videos again. My prayers go out to you for a full recovery. GOD BLESS
Good to see you are back Bob. Looking forward to your next video. We are your neighbors at the dead end in river oaks. With the house on stilts. Come by sometime
When you were at the mini piquine pepper 🌶️ chilli plant right behind you was a Pink peppercorn tree you can find them through out the south west...Thanks to the Spanish Monks from Spain bring it when establishing the Churchs all along the way from Mexico to San Francisco and in Texas as well..
Thanks for not giving up. Too many people these days allow physical afflictions to cause them to toss in the towel. Our children need to see the type determination that you display. God bless you and thanks for the inspiration!
You mentioned fermenting the prickly pear fruit. Just got done bottling a batch of prickly pear mead and I will tell you that it was both delicious and a vigorous fermentation additive.
me and my fiance have missed you and huckleberry, we hope you get better soon and keep making these videos, dont over do it but take your time. we live in wv but we still love watching your videos. take care from west virginia.
Here in East Texas, when I was a kid, we had so many bull nettles they were the scourge of our existence running around barefoot in the summers...but don't see much any more. Also the horned toads were abundant, but can't remember when I last saw one, many years now. Had a large grove of wild plums on the edge of town, but it's long gone. But do still have a large Pecan Acres Park on the Stephen F. Austin Univ. grounds...they're free and that park is always full of folks come autumn!
Thank you for sharing. I always enjoy the walk in the woods you do. I have been trying to learn what I have on my little place after watching you. Thank you for the inspiration. God bless you and your family.
What a nice video. I loved the music. You had me grinning all the way through. You look good and you sound good and we're always so happy to see you and Huck. God bless you both, and your whole family.
I’m so happy you’re back thank you for the update on your eyesight can’t wait till the next video you’re number one fan may God bless your family and it’s time we need love you
You're seriously awesome. I love your videos and it's really nice to see you working through the hardships with the eyesight and muscle issues. Hello Bob! I’m sooo happy that u r starting to see again!!!!! I love all ur videos, especially the foraging ones, any and all that pertain to obtaining foods. I'm colorblind so I have to do edibility test with everything.
Could you please do a Foraging Episode in the Pacific Northwest !??
You could use the trip up there as an excuse to go boating on Puget Sound !!! =)
@@gizmogoose.2486 Amen, California would be cool to learn.

You're one of my favorite UA-camrs. I like watching your videos to just get away from the fast pace of life
Bob so glad to see you are doing better and that you are out and about doing what you love. May God continue to bless you and all that you do young man.
That guy digs with his knife. He is the worse.
Absolutely barbaric
Right!
What was he thinking?!?!! Must be some kind of half-blind noob.
These are survival tactics. Pretty sure no one's going to be carrying a tiny shovel around with them when they're lost in the wilderness.
Trolling yourself on your own channel confuses the other trolls. 😜
Maybe time for a new set of gloves? Love the video, can’t wait for more.
Nice to see you good and healthy man😊can't wait to see you working with Zachy Fowler and the wooded beardsman
Bob hope you get better soon
What a pleasure to watch. Thank you.
Huck is such a darling.
I wish you and your loved ones all the best.
Please take care and stay safe.
I lost half my sight as well...but I found when I go back out in the bush...I enjoy it twice as much! And have twice the memories!
this is about self reliance and showing others what real life is like
good to see you
peppers and onions season up a pecan eating squirrel very nicely
When I lived in Indiana one of my favorite things as a kid was going out and collecting paw paws, raspberries, and mulberries. Good stuff found around where I grew up.
