I work at Decathlon Germany and we use the plastic tire leavers every day and they are holding up over 3 years now. Also one of the best thing you can buy is the pump 900. We have these in usage for almost 4 years. They have pumped up every bike we gave to a customer and they still pump up tries to 8 bar.
Decathlon is just so great. I went there last week and bought some camping equipment, bike tools and swim wear. All in one go, all great quality. I love Decathlon!
Decathlon is so underrated. Of course you won’t get championship-winning gear. But for the basics, and even some of the more niche stuff, it’s become my go-to store. Schnelle Brille? 7.99 at Decathlon Saddle bag? 12.99 at Decathlon Proper tyre pump? 19.99 at Decathlon New tubes? 3.99 at Decathlon And they’re always reliable and acceptable quality
Bought all my commuting wear from decathlon and have to say I can’t fault any of it. The water proof you looked at (1:18) is a great bit of kit for the price and does exactly what it says on the tin! Great video 👍
I'm in Thailand and a big fan Decathlon store there are many things that I love and more than anything is the price is affordable. Thank you for your video.
just want to add that the multi tool doesn´t look like it has a chain tool thing which most other bike specific multi tools have (and which is very handy in case you need it)
For bad weather commuting I highly recommend the Men's City Cycling Rain Overtrousers 540 at 45€ - they also have built in over shoes and are just fabulous. If 45€ is too much, you can also find cheaper ones for 20€ in their 100s range. I bought a pair of 100s when I started cycling to work and they lasted me three years - I only decided to upgrade to the 540s because I found them to be a better fit. Otherwise, like a lot of stuff in Decathlon nowadays, absolutely top notch !! 👍👍
It is worth checking trekking rain pants as well as they are cheaper and more efficient (15000 Schmerbers iirc) ; they lack some cycling feats (scratchs, reflecting, etc) but the price/quality ratio is way better 🙂
Decathlon is allways worth to have a look. Living close to France gave me the chance to try products long ago for the first time. Meanwhile a lot of products getting better and better. Very often you can find a realy good deal. Nice video 👍
I spent like 2000-3000 euros in decathlon (serbia) last year on camping and cycling gear.... That said i was amazed and customer support and return policy. My tent poles snapped by high storm wind at sandy beach, and i called them for replacement poles (they went trough tent material tho) and while not having replacement they just took tent and returned money, no problem. The one thing i discovered is rly bad is plastic bmx pedals... Didnt last for 5 days 😂 Cant wait to save some money to buy new tracking pole tent. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐💯
@grantritchie The Kiprun Cardio was a shirt with an integrated heart rate strap. The buttons are compatible with a Garmin heart rate sensor and the shirt was available as sleeveless, with short sleeves and long sleeves.
Bought the Multitool and had it for a half year in the sadlebag. Thee boults gone loose and the multitool was falling appart. My dad had the same. So without using they were both broken
Absolutely, Phil's got a Le Col base layer and he reckons it's pretty much the same! I've been wearing this base layer in the recent hot weather and it's doing a solid job. It might be a bit thicker than some of my other ones, and I had to get rid of the labels because they were bothering me. But apart from that, it's spot on!
I also regularly shop at Decathlon (I have the legendary Triban 3 Red still going strong after 10 years) but I'm a bit puzzled regarding your connection to Decathlon. You said you would be keeping the pump which suggests to me Decathlon had given you these products to review. Is that true? If not, are you receiving any payment, either monetary or in goods, from them?
I have zero connection to Decathlon (at this point at least) and bought all the products with my own money. When I said keep the pump, I simply meant that I wouldn’t return it. If a brand gives me products for review or sponsors the channel in some way I’ll be very clear about it in the video or description 👌🏻
Decathlon is amazing. I love the stuff epecially if I just need a lot of them like baselayers or running caps or shirts.... no need to spend 3 times the prize just for it to say castelli or rapha or ryzon
@@grantritchie SPD shoes that look like trainers. Use them all the time around town. Julie has a pair of bibs with zip access at the back, no more undressing for wee stops. Swears they're the best thing since gravel bikes 😁👍
I have bought bibs and merino jerseys for training. Very comfortable and at a reasonable price. (ps I have that bell - perfect for warning walkers on gravel tracks)
@@GeorginaWilcox Yea, these multitools can tighten a screw or two to get you home save but on the regular you need higher quality material. But for eight pounds you really cannot complain much, it does its job.
I live in UK, am french, and I can tell you how disappointed I am about Decath in uk. Go to France, i.e. Decathlon Village in Mondeville and you will be amazed by the quality and how much more sports are covered!! Come on Decathlon, make an effort bordel !!!!!
Guys i love Decathlon but you gotta stop throwing around "stainless steel" like that. Pump might be, but that multi tool is aluminium and zinc plated steel. Nice in a pinch. But will not serve you for super long
The explosion special effects had us sold! Thanks for the visit guys :)
Chas is a true legend, almost walked out with the foldable bike! #GiveChasAPromotion
@DecathlonUKDecathlonUK can we talk about a channel partnership yet? 👀

Thanks for confirming on the tyre levers! And thanks for sharing about the pump too 👌🏻

Yea I’m not surprised! Great to hear about the waterproof, tempted to try it myself for the winter!
I have 3 of the under vests, and the are the dogs bollocks! For a tenner you cannot go wrong! Great video.
Great video!
Thanks!
Great value for money, thats what we like to see in Holland!!

Thank you for your video.
Great vid guys.. I use the cycling base layer you picked up brilliant and the Van Rysel rain jacket is decent to 👍👍
Seconded there on the rain jacket. I bought one because it fared well in a group review of expensive ones as the cheap but good alternative
just want to add that the multi tool doesn´t look like it has a chain tool thing which most other bike specific multi tools have (and which is very handy in case you need it)
Yes 100% agree on having a chain tool. I have a separate chain tool personally.
The tyre levers are excellent. Had a set for years. Sadly lost them… trip to decathlon incoming!
Yes, we love to hear it!
Decathlon haul is great. Ikea studio is great. Wholesome content.
+1 for the tyre levers. Best out there, virtually indestructable.
Chas knows what he’s talking about
My only problem with decathlon is their sizing system. My sizes range from S to 2xl.
Yea fair comment!
I bought some boxer briefs a couple years apart, both XL, and I SWEAR they're different sizes...
Interesting review technique. "This looks good, 5 stars". You didn't even take the packaging off. 😂
Sometimes you just know 😂

IKEA = Decathlon for inside the house
Decathlon = IKEA for outside the house
lol.

Definitely going to pick up a 'grab bag' after seeing this!

Ohh interesting!!
They do some great stuff! Their 650b inner tubes are the business 😉
I like their shammy cream and I have the 10l vest for running
Do they have their own brand chamois cream?
8:37 What London pubs are you drinking at? No London pub I know charges £10 for a beer!
😂 it’s what us northerners tell ourselves
Bought the Multitool and had it for a half year in the sadlebag. Thee boults gone loose and the multitool was falling appart. My dad had the same. So without using they were both broken
Maybe the weak link of the bunch 😬
Great video i have a couple of the base layers which are very similar to the Le Col version and perform just as well for a fraction of the price.
Absolutely, Phil's got a Le Col base layer and he reckons it's pretty much the same! I've been wearing this base layer in the recent hot weather and it's doing a solid job. @Grant Ritchie Totally agree with Phil about the labels, they need to be cut off immediately!
Love videos like this. Sadly no Decathlon in NZ.
Sounds like you need to make a Decathlon trip to Europe 😂

@@grantritchie thanks for clarifying. Good review and good channel.
Get yourself over to France , the large Decathlon stores are absolutely amazing.
There's bigger ones? 😍
@@grantritchie The Decathlon Lyon-Bron is the biggest with up than 13 500 m2, when average Decathlon worldwide are 4 000 m2 :)
Wish we had decathlon stores here in the US

That looks like a really nice pump. Can it do up to 100psi?
I've not tried 100psi, the max I run on my 28mm road tyres is 60psi and it's good for that no problem!!
@@grantritchie Saw one online in a Decathlon store. It says it can do up to 80-85psi. Good enough.
Decathlon products are really good!
Definitely more than 5 Decathlon items in our cycling life 👌
Any favourites?
probably in our everyday life as well

😂
For starters, I would love to see decathlon that isn’t half empty 😅
Fun vid!
Higher or lower is quality
Wondered how many people watched that far 😂
Doesn't the packaging for the multi-tool say aluminium, just when you say stainless steel?
Maybe 🙄
@grantritchie aluminum will just round the bolts once the edges start to wear. Probably steer clear

Sad times, I'll need to visit in France sometime!
5 Stars for filming in Ikea 🤣
Unfortunately Decathlon doesn't sell one of their best products anymore: the Kiprun Cardio shirt 😢
What was this??
The stand on the bike pump is useless when used in anger. Just mentioning
👀
All those guys like Francis Cade etc. with their youtube studios did something wrong... Just go to ikea!
Great and fun video!
Be mindful folks this company in some of its stores in Europe sells gun cartridges for killing song birds
Southampton?
Nottingham!
Giltbrook? I recognise Chas
Good eyes 👀

Never mind the Bollocks! Time wasters.
the few times I went to a decathlon I felt sick for all the crap on display
