The Doors channel is the official UA-cam home of classic Doors live performances, The Doors albums, and contemporary performances and content honoring The Doors featuring John Densmore and Robby Krieger.
With an intoxicating, genre-blending sound, provocative and uncompromising songs, and the mesmerizing power of singer Jim Morrison’s poetry and presence, The Doors had a transformative impact not only on popular music but on popular culture.
The Doors’ arrival on the rock scene in 1967 marked not only the start of a string of hit singles and albums that would become classics, but also of something much bigger - a new and deeper relationship between creators and audience. Refusing to be mere entertainers, the Los Angeles quartet relentlessly challenged, confronted and inspired their fans, leaping headfirst into the heart of darkness while other bands warbled about peace and love. Though they’ve had scores of imitators, there’s never been another band quite like them.
Forever The Doors

Bittersweet ending. LA Woman is a work of art.
Big time !
This is a really cool animation! This is a nice tribute for Jim! It’s so sad that Jim didn’t make it back to LA! This is so sad! Rest In Peace Jim ❤️❤️❤️
Beatle fans and music lovers. Watch this almost 4 hour interview days before the release. You'll all enjoy it! "Things We Said Today" @/355 Some Quality Time With- Peter Jackson Insights on how he directed the new Beatles movie-Get Back.ua-cam.com/video/QSLb7cpHy00/v-deo.html
Some don't think he died. There was no autopsy. The whole story of his death has some oddities. Some say he just got burned out by the Rock and Roll thing and began another life. Who knows?
He's in NY
Jim's soul was so beyond his years it had to leave but we are forever grateful for the music it created.
Right on!
Hard to believe that was a guy in his late 20s. Jim was a thousand years old from day one 😎🤘
Jim's soul left his body because he saw how manufactured and monopolized the music industry would become to the point that the artist is basically whored out.
He saw ALL the bland shit that is pumped out quicker than it's forgotten.
He saw the future where 5 to 1 would be the song of a society obsessed with material wealth and the people are so apathic they don't even bother to question.
Burnt himself out.
Still he did more in 27 years than most & were still listening nearly 55 years later.
My brother used to say to me that its better to burn out than fade away,he passed on at the age of 49✌
We grow up with the unique music of the doors,we continue after 42 years in life, to listen to this music.. Jim morrison was were and will be a legend...
man I'm 19 and my friends and I have loved Jim in ABQ, NM, since we found him when we were 16. Jim is a LEGEND, and we will always know and remember him. Bless the doors!
This is beautiful! I wouldn’t mind seeing one featuring 1965/1967-1970 to see the years of The Door’s development.
Morrison's intellectual, religious and mystical knowledge unattainable ... the doors remain unreachable.
Thank you James. Jim
For creative writing in high school I rewrote some of Jim Morrison's poetry his birthday a couple days ago reminded me of that was listening to the doors nonstop since
Thanks for putting this together. Cute nugget
I remember all of that like it was yesterday, they are still a great band with a great sound! Thank you Doors!!
Do you really.
Brightly burning, slowly dying, the king has ascended and the children are crying. RIP 🥀
Something about The Doors....either ya dig em or ya don't...but if ya do it feels like they are our band.....like we are members of a something sacred.........til The End !!
UN….TIL THE END !
Agree to the max!
I agree, Doors fans are voracious, myself included.
well said... little middle ground. of all the major bands of that era who sold well, they were probably the most contentious & evoked bipolar views. Same in the industry w/ their peers. many musicians didnt like them either, yet, some were enamored like zappa & cooper.
The Doors incomparables e inolvidables por siempre.(forever) 👏✌️
Thanks for existing Jiim Morrison!
You are never dead to me!💜💋🎶✌️🎸🔥
The Doors forever 😭😜
What’s weird is that Paul Rothchild claims he was speaking of Love her Madly when he described the demos as cocktail music. He says he was not referring to riders on the storm, but as Robbie says, that doesn’t make any sense.
Paul also said the two greatest tracks were LA woman and riders on the storm and that you could throw the rest in the bin. What an absurd statement. The Changling is insanely great and there are some great blues tracks on the album.
LA Woman is a masterpiece blues lp period.
For me its Texas radio, and Crawling King snake. Those are the ones I turn up when I want to hear songs from this album. The Changling is great also. I cant hear La woman or Riders anymore due classic rock radio playing the shit out of those songs when I used to listen to radio.
Paul is insane. The whole album is heat from front to back. The Changeling is a beast of an opener and always gets me moving. Not a weak track in the bunch though.
Great content, can't wait to see more!
I really enjoyed this video. Very well put together and the animation is spot on. The ending is sad and it’s very unfortunate for Jim not be alive to see how The Doors music is still admired over five decades later. Cheers, Liam.
Is a masterpiece
Great video. Just love The Doors
Compare the music of today with the music from the 60’s and 70’s
LA woman is a great album. The Doors’ music is pure poetry…
the final keyboard notes in riders on the storm make me cry every time I hear it
The doors! So far ahead of their time
BEAUTIFUL!
The Doors were carnivores in an era of musical veganism. Look at the other bands at the time. Most were happy songs about peace and love, Lucy, diamonds, etc. And what is the Door's opening track on their debut album? Break on Through...
On the first public bios, what does Jim list as his favorite food? “Meat.“ 😂 As one reviewer said at the time, the Doors were “not necessarily evil but very dark.“
That's right! 👍
Carnivores? I dig the analogy but I'd say that they were cannibals more than anything else.
@@Alaskan-Armadillo naw bro not really, but they were raw as FUCK
Stones were howling Can't Get No Satisfaction and Paint It Black while the Doors were still sending out rejected demos lol
Everything in this video happened before I was born, so why am I so emotional at the end?
Amazing!!
Fantastic 😎
Loved this.
The doors is the best rock band ever I was their fan from when I was a child and I love them till now rest in peace Jim Morrison 🎸☮️🇺🇸
Just a sad end for such a legend...
Great video! I love the animation!
Amazing!
Amazing

Colourful,and neat animation!! Looks fantastic!!!!🌟🌟🌟🌟💯%!☘️🕊️💖
Awesome Band! (Cool Animation)
hello thanks for the notification Doors is my band of choice Jim Morrison will never be forgotten worth not having translation 🇧🇫👍
Well done
GREAT CONTENT! 👍
Worth a mention that 12th Dec 1970 show was stage recorded and the tape still exists.
Excelente
If this Doors album is cocktail music then cheers to that! And also a toast to number 3!
god i love the doors.
sad to know of this decline, in Jim..one of my top 3 singers. Love this group 4ever
If you have the wheel to do it I think it’s important to look at all the interviews by all the remaining doors. Jim was looking forward to coming back during LA woman I love the results they price it was an album that was a launchpad into new musical areas.
Always nice to hear the true backstory ✌️
Death makes angels of us all
And gives us wings where we had shoulders smooth as raven's claws
❤️the doors❤️
Jim Morrison isn't dead he is Mr. Mojo Risin and becoming The Lizard King long live The Doors 🕯 ❤ 🕯
LOVE u!!!
The númber one biggest band of the wordl!!!!
I wonder if anyone ever asked Pam where all of Jim’s poetry he wrote in Paris was? He undoubtedly had worked on some so what the hell happened to it?
I ain't Fuckin' Dead. WAKE UP!
Hell yeah
💓💓💓
December 8 Jim Morrison is born and John Lennon dies at the same time, two legends on a single date with different year
Wooooooho
Wouldn’t be such a bad idea to post audio and footage if there is any footage, from the two Dallas concerts and New Orleans concert
You’re drinking with number 3…
Thanks jim thanks doors❤🔝🎶😊
It’s crazy to think that everything seemed as if it were going to end well once Jim returned from Paris him and the band would make more music and tour then his unexpected death was just a deal breaker.
I remember that night. LMAO. WAKE UP!!
"I LOVE THE DOORS!"
❤❤❤
Darkest album 🖤
💜
❤
The doors-best music)
(I am Russian)
Greatest rock album ever with Stones Sticky Fingers
The saddest part is that Jim never made it back to LA. Rest in peace Jim.
Hace un mes estuve en Francia y fui al cementerio donde descansa jim morrison...soy argentino y vivo en España...
I think that call to Densmore Jim made a few weeks before his end is revealing for the intent they all had to start anew. Jim needed a spell to clear his mind and regenerate his creative muse. All we can do is dream and wonder what ground they may have broken. This was a band that after LA Woman were again at their summit.
Niceee
El Rey lagarto...siempre inmortal 🤟🏼👊🏼🔥
Favourite genre: Cocktail music.
It’s a shame he died so young but he still did more than most people who sit around on their asses or do some job they hate for 40 years until they quit and get bored
🥺
Jim🙏
Jim Jim
🦎👑♾
#Queremos The Doors Aqui no Brasil 💚💚💚💛💛💙💙✌💀💀
Not bad, pretty good animation.
Que viva el Rey Lagarto!
Damn…
According to Ray, when Morrison, went to trial in Miami, Jim was very upset, and on the verge of a breakdown..
Today is the anniversary of their last show.
🤟🤟🤟
It sure was an extended vacation It was so good he never left 😏
OPEN THE DOOR
I wanna talk about Texas Radio and the Big Beat
there is no other band that come close to The Doors
RIP Mr. Mojo Risin! 13th comment. #Legend
Unexpected.
Está genial el vídeo pero deberían subtitularlo al español.
Bruh who decided that this go animated art style was the best for the 50 anniversary?
Cocktail music ?
Narration sounds like Ed Norton?
I feel.ot.
What a sad story..
