    Grapefruit. Two points. Firstly, great to see a professional using pocket hole joinery when appropriate. Why not? Secondly, I don’t suppose you know the brand / name of the rollers on the fence? I have the same fence and could use a set. Great door.

    • @LTWCarpentry
      @LTWCarpentry  7 місяців тому

      Cheers for the comment buddy, I’m not against using pocket holes when you can, I feel like you should what ever gets the job done but to the best of your ability, if a pocket hole will do then why not use one.
      As for the router rollers they are made by jessem they look different not but that’s the ones to use

      @dwalsh3469 7 місяців тому

      @@LTWCarpentry Thanks Man. Pocket hole joinery is great. I love it. Most people in B&Q in the drill section don’t really want a drill. They want a hole. The Internet gets confused about production work that pays bills versus hobby / craft / fine woodworking / ‘content’. I think you are lined up on the right track. No credible correspondent would denigrate pocket hole joinery for the sake of it.

    Grapefruit. Hi Lewis the door looks good and some useful tips in the video. The last board you placed in was that the one that had the 2 tongues, if so did you have to locate the last 2-3 boards in their T&G and push the boards down flat ?

    • @LTWCarpentry
      @LTWCarpentry  7 місяців тому

      Hi buddy, yes it was the one with the 2 tongues, you could do it that way yes but I just slid the last board in from the bottom of the door as I had enough movement to do this. Hope this helps

    Grapefruit. Nice work mate, just a quick question and definitely not a criticism, but why do you not glue the mortise as well as the tenon? I was always taught to glue both as it would make the joint stronger. As I said not a criticism as I know everyone has different ways of doing things but more for a learning point for me

    • @LTWCarpentry
      @LTWCarpentry  7 місяців тому +1

      Cheers buddy, I don’t like to glue the full tenon, I only glue the first two thirds, my thinking is the style can still expand and contract, not sure if it actually works but I like to think it does, I’ve never had a problem with the joints failing, I did used to glue both, but changed about 6 years ago. I might go back as I’m not sure there’s much benefit 🍻
