Hey CNA/Mr Mazlan, I know this is 6 years late but I was wondering if kolek racing still exists in Singapore and if it’s possible for Singaporeans (including those of other ethnicities) to learn how to sail koleks in the present? It seems like a very interesting and highly-skill-dependent art and bringing it back to our shores would be such an awesome way of preserving traditional Malay/Singaporean maritime heritage like you mentioned in the video/article, but I’m not aware of its current status/the feasibility of continuing this sport in our nation right now?
