Loved loved loved loved the interview. As soon as Stephen said New Jersey and Yarn Pimp I stopped the video and searched Ravelry and found Karen and her shop. I live in NJ and a little over an hour from it so I'll be making a trip there very soon. I've just come back to knitting after a long hiatus, real life got in the way, and holy KNIT, have things changed!! I'm glad I found you through other podcasters who sang your praises!!! kristyglassknits I always call shops before I make the trip. When my sons played hockey I used to bring fabric home as souvenirs (I also quilt) when we would travel. Wished I knit back then. The projects I could have made in the car!!!!

Awesome interview.. Acrylic yarn... Many if us use it fir our charity work..and lots of us just can't afford the good stuff.. We love it..and understand the value if natural fiber yarn, but our budgets just won't allow us to buy it..at least nit often... Some acrylics...such as the blends sold by Lion Brand are really nice to work with...although I will admit that the stiffness of certain brands is awful yo work with...
I have always said: There is a place in the world for acrylic. I AGREE I love LB yarn and many acrylic blends. I definitely use the WHOLE SPECTRUM of fibers out there and I totally understand---BUDGET! : )
Kristy! You made my day already this morning. What a great interview! Yes, the eyeball shawl is something I should make. (I have glaucoma). LOL I can wear that to my next eye appointment. LOL I love the keep on knittin' kitten. :) I remember when he pretty much started his first shawls. I was in Looped in DC at a medical conference and got the Age of Brass and Steam. By the way Looped is a very cool shop! Thanks for the interview this morning. I smiled alot to start my day!

Waterloo!!! It's about an hour west of Toronto. I'm originally from Rhode Island so I'm starting all over here in Canada, getting my knitting roots. :) We have some amazingly talented people here and so many great yarn shops and festivals. There is a sheep and wool festival in September I believe, in a town called Woodstock (Ontario).

Haapy podaversary, Kristy! Great inerview with Stephen West. I saw him being mobbed at Rhinebeck last year and I purposefully stayed away because he looked overwhelmed. I am definitely a #Westknitsarethebestknits fan. He is a creative genius with knitting.

Hi Jay! TNNA I believe no longer exists, but it was an industry trade show. I think it stands for the national needle arts. (?). Similar to H&H- I don’t know what that stands for… welcome!
I use 5 gl. zip lock bags for my projects because they're see-thru. WHERE did SW get his bag (sitting next to him)?

So I have a story of a local yarn store that became a co-op. Lofty Lou's in Placerville California was Lou's for decades, then when she needed to retire 30ish people bought in. They're still going strong a few years later. This a little out of left field, but I have to ask if you can Skype interview with them to get their story out. Happy Knitting☺
