Good to hear from you sir, 2020 may be the last year for the FJR so I would not wait too long if you are after a new one. Yamaha is not producing a Euro 5 compliant version so this is it for the European folks. They have not said for sure that they will kill it after this year but that seems to be the consensus among those in the know at this point. Perhaps they will come out with a replacement that is even better. Suzuki is doing a massive update on the Hyabusa this year with a bigger engine and more sport touring and comfort so maybe Yamaha will step up with something new..... thanks sir and ride safe.....:)

I really like your presentation style. You also bike in a similar way to me in that you bike to get to places to see instead of just blasting around on the roads. The guys I go biking with always leave the routes to me and know we are going to be seeing something at some stage!!! We've done a number of aviation museums and we are going to be looking at cathedrals next. Keep it shiny side up!! I came across your videos because I was seriously thinking of swapping my GS for an FJR. I took one on a long test ride and loved it. Unfortunately, the money didn't work out for me.

A beautiful place and those little cabins must be ideal if you're traveling by bike, some times it's better to see a place before the leaves come as you get a much better view. I love the bike, my brother loaned me his and now i'm trying to justify buying one lol. Thanks for another well made video and keep up the good work.

Hi Ozarks, you mentioned in your video you had a Versys prior to the FJR, Was ir a 1000?? would you mind comment on the non obvious differences?? Im debating in between the two, even I won't be doing a lot of touring, the FJR seems more capable (I think) than the Versys, but some things are turning me off, like the Versys 1000 was or is being built in India, like some people change sprockets to reduce RPM's etc. etc. Thanks in advance on your opinion of the two.
And than k you for sharing your video.

well the big difference between the Versys and the FJR is weight. The Versys 1000 comes in around 540Lb. were as the FJR is 100Lb. heavier. If you aren't going to be taking long trips I would go for the Versys., it is much easier to handle. Both are very nice bikes but I do believe the Versys is easier to live with for day to day riding. Thats just my opinion though...you know... everybody has one.... :)

Can you tell me of the forks are upside down if that means it's ES? Thank you.

Hello there sir, good to hear from you. The bike does have upside down cartridge style forks. The forks and rear shock are electronically adjustable and the rear shock is also electronically adjustable for ride height. Thanks for watching... keep safe out there... :)

The video quality is really bad, even at 1080p. I think you must have compressed it too much before uploading to UA-cam.
