Amazing for your video of Riding Forest Roads in Minnesota on the Ibex 800T - North East Minnesota Adventure Trail (NEMAT). I love your video. Thanks for sharing.🥰
Enjoyed watching the video. I live in Cook County and enjoy watching Lake Superior and the sun do battle with the fog. At times it will look like cotton candy rolling on the highway. 70/30 tiers are fine for the forest service roads but two tracks much more aggressive treads.
Thanks for watching! I agree on the tires. Would have preferred the dual sport for the tighter situations but enjoyed the full size bike for the ride there and back!
I love riding that area. After the flood things were difficult. Props on doing it as a new rider to dirt. Normally those roads are super chill. the Cloquet Lake road with all the water holes is like that even without rain. It always has deep water holes but solid bottoms. The Middle is always the best route. The washouts on the Stoney River road would be a challenge on a 500 lb bike and a new rider to dirt, Do it ten more times and you'll get used to it. Don't think that you cant do it because of the bike or the tires, I don't know the Ibex well but I ride a T7 and the specs are about the same. I had a time on certain trails that I would always drop my bike. I come from dirtbiking but after injuries I had a 20 year break(I didn't quit motorcycles, just off road,). I then got a 450lb ADV bike.. It took forever to get used too. Now I love it and wouldn't change it for any duel sport. My advice is to practice slow speed turns and control in a parking lot. I know it sounds like messing around but do it. Anything that helps with balance at slow speeds will help you in the washed out sections. Anyway would really dig seeing a Ibex in the wild, I think its way more capable than any duelsport.
Great video! I enjoyed watching. Did you take part of the Minnesota Recon Route? 1200 plus miles in 5 sections. I just rode part of the Mille Lacs loop last week, good stuff
@JasonRidesmoto I have the 2023 FE 450. It's the same engine and trans as the 500/501. They short stroked the crank to 450 and added a heavier crank. It's a de smogged from the factory off-road bike but can be easily plated in MN. Very good tractor factor. 500/501 is also an excellent choice, I've ridden them, and they're great. How does your buddy like his 690?
Would you highly recommend the ibex 800? I am looking at getting one as my highway/light adv bike. I also plan to have a passenger as well on some of the rides.
@@TheDualCruiser It’s a great highway bike! Stock windshield needs an extender to cut down on excessive wind buffeting. It’s ok off road but its weight and top heaviness make it a little less confidence inspiring than other options. I have not tried a passenger on mine.
Used to live not too far from that area. Bummer for the guy cutting his ride short, I carry tire spoons and a patch kit on my DR especially in that area and even a quart of spare fuel can make the difference between a ride and a long walk. I probably should have a chain repair kit also.
@JasonRidesmoto Dennis kirk is on the way and they carry the motion pro lineup of spoons and bead buddies and I just use a wal mart patch kit works fine.
beautiful ride, I enjoyed it. Keep it up, man!!
Thanks for watching!

@@JasonRidesmoto Thank you so much. ❤
Great video and great sport. Never let the couple of tip overs get you down. Great positive attitude the whole time!
Thanks for riding with me!
Rad bike! I didn't even know we had that trail in MN.
Thanks for watching! It's a fun one and I have a lot more to explore!
Hey Jason, I love your new videos! We just got back from a trip to Gooseberry. It's so beautiful there.
Thanks Aaron! Great to hear from you!

Very nice. I just picked mine up last week. What GPS mount bar is that?
@@LBRides it’s a bar mount found on eBay. Mounts to the windscreen mounts
@@JasonRidesmoto thanks - I’ll look it up.
