Is that pressure smart a good mattress ? is it holding up well ? is it to soft to firm.? is it the 14.5 inch thick ?
@@1peanut its labeled a firm but more of a true medium, I think they also make it in a soft/medium. Its only 11 or 12"

I too feel the base is too low. Considering adding bed riser blocks to give it a few more inches. Any opinion on that?

Thanks. Bought that one. Was looking for a foldable bed frame to get upstairs. Stairway is old fashioned with right turn angles making a box spring very hard and almost impossible.

It's funny you should do this bed frame demo. I have a Helix mattress scheduled to arrive today. It looks like this bed frame serves as a foundation as well. I'm opting for an old fashioned foundation (often called box spring) and mattress combination. I'm going to reuse my old bed frame made with angle iron. When you reuse the bed frame (if in good shape), there's no need to build the frame. 😊Anyway, this is a good video for someone who wants an adjustable bed set-up. 👍👍👍
Awesome! Hope you enjoy your new bed. I badly needed a new one, my back was killing me! 😆 ohh yeah Ive always had those style ones too with the box spring. They're nice and higher too, this ones pretty low. I would probably stuck with one like you, but didnt have a queen boxspring around
Same situation here. My back hurts so much in the morning that when I get out of bed I have trouble bending and walking until I move around for a while and do some stretching. Hope you enjoy your new bed as well. It's kinda cool to adjust the bed for things like reading or just comfort.👍👍👍 @@JonnyDIY

I hear you. It's a pain in more ways than one, because I have work to go do and I have to work with exercise before I can get going. Worst yet, what if somebody broke in the house in the middle of the night or there was a fire? I may not be able to move fast enough to deal with it. 😲 Time to fix this problem and very soon. Thanks for your tutorial but what if you have a box spring? So you leave the legs off and assemble on top of box spring then put mattress on top?
@@michellebrown4372 this type of adjustable frame is made to use without a box spring. So I'd probably just sell yours or give away or put in storage. To use the adjustable feature box spring won't work. You could put the box spring on top under the mattress but then couldn't adjust it

Very helpful! We’re getting ours next Friday, but I wanted to order some longer legs (or extenders) for it. The ones I found on Amazon have metric (8mm or 10mm) size screws. Do you know if those would fit or how I could find out what size screws are in the legs of the Sleepys adjustable base? Thanks!
I'm not exactly sure what size screws/bolts those are and also the thread pitch. If were me I would probably wait and take a leg to hardware store where they have those gauges you can screw a bolt/screw into and it tell you the size and thread pitch 👍 I'm sure they're metric, but thats all I know. May be able to contact manufacturer of frame if in a rush though

@@wendywendy123 No, unfortunately. We ended up putting ours on little risers because I had some we had used with a previous bed, but it’s not a very satisfactory long term solution.

How did you take the pins out? (Not the skinny pin you first pull out but the thick one) It is really tight. I can’t seem to take it out
If you wiggle the joint while you try and pull the pin out it should come out 👍 hope you get it 🤞
What size are the bolts that require the pins? Lost mine need to replace. Thanks man

What's the measurement from the adjustable base to the floor? Is there a lot of space under the bed to put stuff underneath it? After using it would you recommend it? What are some pros and cons? Thank you!!👍
You're welcome. It only has about 9" storage height underneath. To top of platform it's about 10". Someone mentioned getting taller legs for it since they easily screw on to get higher and more storage. I like it so far, I like the adjustability for reading, tv etc.

@@buckeyesportsman6138 not sure on the exact size, but I'd bet they're metric for sure though. Can take to hardware store and use one of those little gauge things you can screw it into to check size and pitch to be sure 👍
Do you know what headboard base can I use with this?
I think it is one they sell through mattress firm or sleepy's brand.
My mattress firm adjustable bed is already here and set up. But it’s so high. Do you have to flip it upside down to remove a length of leg? Can up just lean it on side…. Any easy way???? Oh god. Wish guys could come back and do it? Can they
Yes can lean on side. You can also try lifting one section up a little bit and slide something under to prop that part up to work on the legs 👍

Had to get rid of mine. Was super uncomfortable. Made my back hurt. It came free with a mattress purchase. Guess you get what you pay for. Ended up ordering a higher quality one.

@@JonnyDIY I just can't get comfortable on it. Can't sleep on it more than a few hours without waking up with lower back pain. Never had that problem on a box spring. I have a pillow top mattress and you can feel the hardness of the metal frame through the mattress. That's probably why they give them away free with the mattress if it were designed better for comfort then they couldn't afford to give them away.

Can you make the bed frame higher--like 1-2 inches? How to do this?
You could buy some "bed risers" to put under feet or try and find longer screw on legs

Possibly if the legs lines up with supports under them, you can also buy longer legs
How do you disassemble it???
Unscrew and remove legs and do the reverse as I showed with those locking pins. So put the pins back to the point I showed them at beginning and then it folds up 👍
Does it come with headboard brackets ?
Just those holes I show are for headboard. They sell special headboard that goes with it I believe

You just do the opposite order as I showed with those pins on the hinge joints

If you want to use this one you wont need your old frame or any box springs 👍
So mattress firm had us order a headboard but there’s nothing to attach it too
3:47 these are the headboard attachment points on this model I show. It would have to be a specific matching headboard sold for this frame though 👍
