Jennylynd grateful thanks for your condolences on the passing of our dearest grandmother 'tanty VV "To live on in the hearts of those you love, and who loved you,is not to die"
It is with great sadness that we say a final farewell to Mr. Fitzroy Thomas. He served his community and his family well and would have been 97 this April, 2019. May his soul rest in peace and sincere condolences to the Thomas family. Mr. Thomas was a key participant in our documentary, "Salt Prune", when we interviewed Trinidadian citizens over 80 years of age.
Today I pay tribute to Vivienne Reece, one of the stars of the documentary, Salt Prune, who died in Rio Claro, Trinidad and Tobago at the amazing age of 111!!! Tantie Vivie was a lively soul and an inspiration for her longevity. She brought joy and light to everyone around her. Condolences go out to K WY., the Reece family, the Webb family and many more who knew her and loved her. We will miss Tantie Vivie!
So sad to hear. She was of my mother's generation. My mother was born in 1903 and lived to be 100. I just watched the video again and the impact was as powerful as the first time. I hope it's archived in a professionally curated library somewhere in Trinidad. Thanks for keeping us updated.
Aunty clair you are a movie star 🌟. Lovely to look at. And uncle Howard. I love you. Forever. And all the other who were interviewed, very interesting.
It is with great sadness that we say a final farewell to Saffee who was one of the stars our documentary. May her soul rest in peace. We will miss Saffee. Our condolences go out to all her family and friends at Brent's Manor
Thanks for this, I was born in England my parents are from Trinidad and Grenada I only wish I was from either place. I love Trinidad so much just sorry there's so much crime now. Maybe if we had continued to discipline at school Trinidad would have less crime now and more respect.
My Father, Conrad Marshall AKA Bin Tim, would be around the same age as the lady from La Brea. He was from La Brea as well. I wonder if she knew him or remembered him?
@@travelwithjennylynd6786 thanks so much for taking the time and effort to check. I'm pleased to know that some of the folks from those days are still doing well. I really enjoyed your documentary and I hope you will continue to document the lives of the people from the earlier generations. I believe it is important to record their stories so that their descendants can look back and appreciate their origins.
Everything is race for these people. Maybe many East Indians did not want an African person interviewing them about their family history. You do not know what went on but always putting a racial slant on things. If it were Indians making a video there would be no black people. Always creating divisions.
@@dohramy You really don't know the history of Trinidad and who caused the separation. Why aren't your people not mingling with our people? You should be going out and interviewing the black people.
First time seeing this. Very interesting to me. I remembered Minister Padmore from my school days. I would love to see more of this. Much thanks❤
Thanks for sharing the Beauty of T&T

Maybe Claire knew him. I'll send a message through her niece and ask.

@@VibesFinder Hello, I got word that Aunt Claire remembers Conrad Marshall and his brother very well from La Brea. She sent to say hello.
