If you reading this you a real one❤️🔥
Classic, beautifully produced and he out rapped most rappers at the time proving that producers can be respected for their rap. And yeah he should have been signed twice.
for sure
There's something about the arrangement of this track that propels it into something heavenly...sending chills down the spine shit!
It's the combination of hard hitting beat, evangelical choir, sweeping violins and those drum rolls - magnificent!
I'll BEVER tire of this tune! 2 words..."Love it!"
I agree. I've always love Mos Def before I even knew of Kanye. And I just found out that one of my all time fav Mos Def songs was produced by Kanye... It made me love it more. The beat is fly... Brown Sugar!! I think that Kanye will propel the three into something great if they keep workin with him. Man... Rappers in the game got alot to learn from Kanye!!!
MORE KANYEEEEEE MORE!!! This is easly the best song in the album and Kanye's best record up to date in my opinion...
love this track
one of kanye's best songs ...
why are all these people saying kanye's sold out? just cause his songs gone mainstream doesn'mean he's lost his skills..it just means alot of people now appreciate hip hop...history will remember kanye as one of the artists who kept hiphop alive
...and the violin at the end kills me! :O
ChooseTheSword To each his own. I loved his verse. It had a throw back hip-hop style to it. I love when he rhymes like that.
Straight fire! Salute!
how is life treating you man
no matter how much i listen 2 dis, i cant get enuf of it!! ACE!!
at the end of the day its all love this joint is fire mos, kanye and freeway did their thing. the oldschool production on this viedo a instant classic
Still is and probably an eternal masterpiece
I'm with you that it isn't just the same shit like most other rappers out today (lil wayne espescially), but it seems like he isn't just making it different, he's forgetting where he came from. He's just getting all emotional about his own life, not about poverty or blood diamonds like he used to. And then he just puts auto-tune over everything.
dat was tight
these comments r fucking awesome to read through
this shit feal like da hood, i can smell the grimy, feel the broken glass, see my people and while i wanna cry i smile
Kind of hard for an intellectual MC like Mos to flourish on a jam where he's limited by saying two word phrases over and over...
that being said, I liked Mos' verse considering its limitations. His usually descriptive imagery and wordplay are kept subtle here; still works.
mos def killin it. that was a sik track!
AMEN!! I'm glad someone understands.
thats why i dig kanye that much
aww man this song is awesome k west da best
i did not know there was a video for this
its dope!!!1
Utter classic. Kanye West and Mos Def are true artists.
Fuck all the people who place Kanye in the same boat as all the other mainstream rappers who suck. His music will always be realtalk, no matter how many records he sells or charts he tops. It's proof that meaningful Hip-Hop still has a place in the mainstream.
i love the camera and the song
This tune is fire... Mos killed it.
this song is for real
Agreed! this is dope. just dope!!
i love you kanye
I never knew they had a vid to this song, I love it already, I espicially like the cameo appearances
thnx alot.
Surprised this only has 160,000 views. This isn't just a great song overall, Kanye and Mos Def's verses would have been some of their best on their own. And fuckin love lockdown gets more than this a day, what has Kanye/his fans come to?
damn, i so love this video + track
thats true as hell and i wish more people would listen to mos def common and talib cause they are throwing down that real shit
real hip hop fo sho!!!!
I've always thought that!
mos killed that shit, brought it back to life, and killed it again
I really connected with the visuals and sounds of struggle we go through as a people in this video. Fucking beautiful song man. Almost Louvre worthy, it's that much of a masterpiece to me.
great song
I love Kanye!! He always rep where he came from so we gon always return the love!!!
What ya know about Harold's LOL!!!

One of the best track on college Dropout!
This is probably Kanye's best song.
The sample is so hot on this ("and it's bloody on these streets")
Throw your hands up.
mos smashed!
That's true, but you have to give him a little credit 'cause this is a hot track.
This is one of the best hiphop collabs...ever...
Kanye = life
Mos = life
Free = life
I'm seeing alot of comments about freeway on this song. The attention should be focused on mos def. not only was his verse by far the best on this song, its one of the best verses i ever heard. Just listen to the words.
mos ruleZ...
yeaaa boy
Real Hip-Hop!
I agree w/ you!

God, Mos Def just spits FIRE on this track.
Hype song man. I live by two words,
FUCK YOU, PAY ME. Kanye killed that shit yo.
This is one of the best rap songs ever made period!!
mos def killed dis shit son.
besta believe dat. hip hop.
wow didnt know this had a video....this was back in the day when kanye was still tight
MIGHTY MOS!!!!!!!!!!
Back in the time Kanye made the best music
Up there with kanyes best
Now that is where I can sorta agree. He's not the same Kanye, but how can you stay the same when your life changes the way he has. He gone through many experiences since coming out so it will affect his music. I think he defends himself so much because he wants so bad to be taken seriously and he wants people to recognize the amount of dedication he has. When he goes in the studio, he puts 100 percent in it so I think it hurts when people don't give him his props. He's too passionate sometimes.
mos def killed it
Best Kanye West track ever. Almost faultless!
Agreed.
No problem. In fact, the older the camera the better. Make sure it's in working condition. Mechanical cameras are actually more rugged than today's digital one's. For instance, you can get a good picture no matter how cold it is outside. Can't always do that with digital.
dope
this is a mos def song, featuring the others. dont give kanye more credit than he deserves.
the best lyrical artist !
yeah, it's amazing how he does a whole verse with only two-word phrases
mos is king
*epic
This is the sickest song on college dropout! My fave song. =^_^=
Kanye killed this shit
how can hiphop be dead when wu-tang is forever?
true quote on their new album
so close to 100,000 views
mos def is hard core
"mos def, k west, hot shit"
this my shit
two words: dope track
lmao man remember all the chipmunk soul running around the radio back in the days? This beat is a musical flashback.
It's really hard to detect sarcasm on the internet, atleast for me anyway so I take everything as I see it
Mos does a great job setting the tempo for the song. Kanye and Freeway adapt the same cadence he uses and flip it towards their own style, while just riding the beat. That's a true group at work. hmmmn...Is it me or are the rap acts today leaning more towards being soloists rather than groups now?
i luv mos..but kanYe tore that shit up!..nice video channelzero
THIS IS REAL HIP-HOP!!
Actually, Kanye has said he wants to be known as a hip-hop artist more than a producer. From what I've read about him and seen of him, he doesn't like being thought of as just a producer.
this video is hot ...wish kanye still had dat hunger... chi town stand da fuck up
excellent point. another one is... people must consider the fact that hiphop is the most mainstream/corporate america fueled thing to ever exsist in history. nothing is sold more than the culture of hiphop. dumbed down versions of a popular artform become mass produced and keep society complacent. this is how it has happened since the dawn of civilization. however, You say 'dont blame the player'. I say, no one likes a puppet.
Mos Def is a fucking Beast.. Talib shoulda been in here... he just fits this track.. OR replace freeway with Jadakiss
"no animals were hurt during the making of this film"
as always yo
There are programs that can give digital photos the 'effect' but not the soul you are looking for in your photos. No special camera or film needed though. Just do it the old fashioned way. Old mechanical camera and film, and make sure your subject is lit properly. Your own eye provides the rest.
LOOL in the credits it says : "No animals were hurt during the making of this film" XD
