The hunger and passion ye had rapping that verse is really inspiring
To say the least.
Reminds me so much of Dave's "Black Box Freestyle". That you know this person will be a legend when you see it vibe!
That’s before he went crazy and lost his mind….👀
Reminds me of old meek mill freestyles!
Look at him now with money what has he done for Chicago
Two words is one of Ye’s most underrated and under appreciated songs.
Fr been one of my favorites
Facts
Ye goes crazy on this 🔥
My favorite song since I was 12 haha
Now he’s trash 😂
You can hear him pouring his energy out until everyone in the room has to stop talking. Just to listen to him. And in the end when he has their attention, he delivers the last line with assurance, knowing he got everyone hooked on every word
You're definitely right about the energy, but I'm not sure about everyone stopping talking lol, the editors just brought in background ambient music and it drowns out the noise of talking lol
yup... u can see it in the eye as he starts
@@TS-jd9qs it pans over to no one talking and focusing on him wym….
that was poetic
Man listening to Kanye rap here gave me chills, it wasn’t even about what he was saying, you can just feel the passion and hunger in his voice…he was coming for the top spot, he knew his turn was up next.
It's the sound trying so hard to bust out the box of "just a producer" that they had him in. Such urgency in his voice. No one's "up next" guaranteed, you gotta go grab it-- he knew that...
I’m glad I wasn’t alone. When he stood up 🔥
He visualized everything then made it happen. “Cheerleader prom dated, most imitated, Grammy nominated”
everytime i listen to it i get chills
Mos Def’s “Oh Shit” at the end sums it up perfectly.
He knew he was a monster
Yasiin Bey.
When a lyrical genius, goes ‘oh shit’ you know you have a beast in your midst.
Mos Def is one of the best freestylers ever. He saw a genius in his own craft
Yeah, in ✌🏽 words.
The moment his voice cracked a bit, the shit he was saying made so much sense and the background music slowly kicked in and kept building. What a way to introduce his documentary!!!
'so amazing babes what a king' - K west
If you listen to the one they recorded for the album it was the same thing. Kanye was really putting his all in college dropout.
yea its what Cam said he would do. any time it was a room full of people. they knew he made beats but had to convince them of his bars. n now he jus mumble for the white folks to enjoy lmao
@@LuckyJackson2020 you trippin bro, clean your ears out

Kanye Is real artist killed gangster rap with his first ep brought strings to the second album classical sound third ep was stadium music mixing diff genre pop edm etc. 808s made it cool to sing rap about ur feelings and help birth drake. 5th album MBDTF the best album of the decade a true masterpiece. 6th Album Yeezus new sound industry hip hop fresh hard hitting sounds rockstar mode.
@@saqib7965 I'm a huge Kanye fan but you're not entirely correct here. Graduation was the album that marked the end of gangster raps prominence in hop hop due to the whole sales battle between him and 50 cent.
You're right about 808s, but you could also mention Travis Scott being directly influenced as well.
MBDTF is a masterpiece, and it laid the foundation of other albums like channel orange, good kid MAAD city and take care.
Yeezus was not a new sound, death grips had been doing it for ages before yeezus came along. Kanye just brought it to mainstream hip hop, which was a huge risk.

Y'all gotta understand that for many years Ye had to fight for respect as a rapper. He was only looked at as a producer, thats it. They didn't want him to rap. But he kept at it and eventually showed everyone that he was the first REAL producer who could not only rap, but entertain.
@beep boop do those guys have a mbdtf under their belt? yea i thought so
@beep boop you clearly either weren't alive back then or paying attention. What Ye did was a first of his kind. Of course he wasn't the very first producer to rap on a track, he was the first one to make a successful ALBUM. Not 1 song, not 2 songs. AN ALBUM. With RADIO HITS. That was UNHEARDOF at that point in time and Ye specifically was told by MANY ppl to quit rapping. Again, you either weren't alive or weren't paying attention back then.

Young heads might not realize it now, but Ye’s early raps being on par with Mos’ is a feat in itself.
I was a freshman in high school when The College Dropout released and I was telling all of my friends Ye was the next dude. Funny as hell, erratic, made his own beats with super soulful samples, had been making beats for Rocafella for years by that point, could hold his own rapping (and at times out-rapped) Mos, Talib and HOV.
