I had no idea you could add a second stroke like that. I used to always rasterize the text and then add another stroke. Wow I really learnt a lot from this video. Thank you
Without layer styles, there’s really not a good way to do this in Photoshop. The other Stroke option can be found in the Edit dropdown, but I don’t like using it
THIS IS THE TUTORIAL I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR! Thanks so much breaking this all the way down for those of us with limited photoshop skills. This is the best tutorial I've seen on learning how to do this effect. Liked and subscribed.
This was really great! I thought I was just going to learn about stroke effect and learned about layer styles. Awesome! 😺Off to see what else I can learn from this channel.
Just found your video - I haven't used Photoshop for 15 years. Just started getting back into it and a lot has changed (also forgotten a lot). Anyway, your video helped me put together the logo for my brothers business. He had a very specific design in mind and this helped a lot. Thanks!
Perfect! Thank you for another great tutorial! This was very useful to learn, and I,love how,you explain the why you do what and how you do it, and also where you find certain applications.
A shape layer is a vector not pixels. So it can be transformed and scaled without losing quality. But honestly there’s multiple ways to do backgrounds I just tend not to put pixels directly on a layer if I don’t have to
I make video tutorials for Job Seekers, HR Professionals & Other Professionals for these I need to create thumbnail where your tutorial helps me a lot to make that successful. Thanks.
Make a new folder, take layer with stroke on it and put it in that new folder, put stroke on the new folder, make another new folder and put the last folder you made into the new folder, add stoke to the new folder, and boom: 3 layers of stroke the SIMPLE way. I know your doing it the way that photoshop built in to allow you to do this, but seriously any time it takes 11 minutes to explain how to do something like this, it's probably because you're doing it the hard/unnecessary way when the easy way gives the same results from a quality standpoint.
Lol no, I can do it my way much quicker than that, and all the strokes are consolidated in one place, easy to edit without hunting through folders. Confusing the length of a tutorial with the length of the task means you don’t understand teaching to the masses. Sure it sounds like I could walk you through it in less than 30 seconds, but I can’t do that for the person who’s using photoshop for the first time, and those are the people you have to cater to
Great tutorial! For some reason I don't have the option in photoshop to add strokes on top of strokes in layer effects. 6:42 I don't have the + next to it either, not sure why
+A Esquibel I really try to explain everything I’m doing, if you’re ever confused about what tool I’m on, just look at the tools to the left and whatever is pressed is the current tool. You can also rewatch areas that possibly confuse you! If you ever have any questions just let me know!
