It's actually the best scene and villain death in the entire existance of filmography! In my opinion. It gives me goosebumps every time I watch it, it's never lost its touch.
Powerful scene. I love the fact that Beckett just accepts that he is going to die and the way he says his final line and walks down the stairs with the destruction around him and everything is in slow motion with the music as well makes it epic. One of the best moments of Pirates of the Caribbean.
Man, the main reason I got SoT is because of pirates of the caribbean, and uh, I was hoping that this happens and that it doesn't happen (because of this scene)
This has happened, i kid you not, a Black Pearl ship set galleon and a Flying Dutchman ship galleon did this. Sure i had to talk them into it, but it was funny
Am I the only one who is severely annoyed by the fact they cut the Davey Jones theme snippet short for the soundtrack release? That has bothered me ever since.
They didn't cut it, they just used the alternate version for some reason. But still, there are so many highlights missing in the album, reason enough for me to avoid it.

Lord Cutler Beckett has, at last, fallen in battle, for all the lives he’s taken. For all his crimes. And now death has claimed his soul. After, it is just good business…right?

In movie history.

It was equal parts satisfying and visually beautiful which is quite rare among cinematic villain deaths actually.
