When Garett started this cleetus mcfarland channel on UA-cam, he really didnt even know much at all about cars, if anything at all... I think james taught him like everything while building leroy and then solidified his understanding of engines rebuilding ruby and buying the original bald eagle machine, the white c7 garett has... Kinda cool to watch and see the growth. All the way from buying the racetrack, a c8 (then selling it after only 1,000 miles) to today.. And building and modifying everything he owns... As well as quitting law school and committing his life full time to the track and the channel ahahaha... Pretty neat tho..
FYI - AU and US power is on a different voltage and frequency. be careful with any adapters. make sure it can support the US 120v 60hz as well as the AU 230v 50hz
Cleetus, check the output of that generator before you make an adapter to plug into the wall. Australia runs on 220 at 50hz. I'm assuming you're running a heater for the oil so in that case it probably doesn't matter, but check to be sure.
@@ljacota the frequency matters when it comes to motors. If it's designed for 50 hz and run on 60hz it will run 20% faster. Can cause overheating of the stator among other things.
We ran Methanol on our dirt track modified.....we could run 30 wide open laps and be lucky to break 170 degrees.....we had to put a piece of cardboard in front of the radiator so it wouldn't draw air while trying to warm it up.....it really helps

If its a heater 60hz won't bother it but they will have to make a adapter for the 220 welder receptacle
In the US most large appliances run on 240 so they will just have to use a 240 volt outlet.
Heaters shouldn't care about frequency, so our 240v should work just fine to operate the oil heaters.

Cleetus, check the output of that generator before you make an adapter to plug into the wall. Australia runs on 220 at 50hz. I'm assuming you're running a heater for the oil so in that case it probably doesn't matter, but check to be sure.
Voltage will matter, The hertz is ok except for clocks and lights. Clocks lose time, and the flicker of some lights can cause issues.
@@ljacota the frequency matters when it comes to motors. If it's designed for 50 hz and run on 60hz it will run 20% faster. Can cause overheating of the stator among other things.
Safer to just use their gen - otherwise have to swap oil heater to 110v... (gay!) Keep it 240, use the gen 👍

We ran Methanol on our dirt track modified.....we could run 30 wide open laps and be lucky to break 170 degrees.....we had to put a piece of cardboard in front of the radiator so it wouldn't draw air while trying to warm it up.....it really helps
