Travis once used the original one on a song, i think that it's called "how u feel" or something. I remember that it sounded exactly like this masterpiece.
This song reminds me of my past life P.s was not good but it’s a really good song a listen to it a lot and plus it reminds me of Weirdcore X back rooms
Yes! My coworkers were playing Chamber of Reflection at work and I told them it was sampling a Japanese instrumental. They didn't know. The original is so good, both are good. 😊 That was my first time hearing Chamber of Reflection. I love knowing where samples come from and sharing that knowledge. The artists are paying homage to people they look up to and it keeps the history of the art of music alive.
The original version sounds like a background music you'll hear all the time in a series, while the newer version sounds like the sadder, more depressing version, you'll hear on a tragic close of a chapter.
What’s the significance of being 46 tho..? I’m confused lmao the song is 48 years old if that’s what you were trying to say but otherwise I’m just confused 😂
Usually when i hear melodies that are extremely catchy i always feel like it could be a sample,i didn’t feel it with this one cuz mac is a great musician so great video man 👌
It’s not sampled the OP is mistaken Mac actually remade the original Progression sampling would be actually using the audio in his song which he did not do
@@Ganjahandler42 no need to take my comment so seriously dude lmao. I understand there's a literal difference between sampling the direct audio and just recreating the melody, but you're the only one who seems to care.
Listened 2 the Word 2 prior to Chamber of Reflection Surprised me when I heard Chamber cuz it just used the same sorta synth rhythm that Shigeo Shekito used I watched a Nardward interview with Mac and when he gave him a Japanese jazz vinyl I knew right away that he used that sample in his music
He asked permission in order to use the melody for chamber of reflection. Matter of fact Mac is supposedly a huge fan
that’s literally what sampling a song is hahah

The original one sound sounds like something that would play at a hotel lobby or something
jazzy
@Dyslexic Mitochondria ok I wont

the original one sounds like what would play after the bombing of hiroshima nagasaki

Totally agree. Intro with some lower toned/melancholic Japanese man speaking of whims n woes and the state of the universe.
really? i don’t see the connection

Something between an 80’s anime and a 90’s gameboy game soundtrack
Always gotta ruin something by linking it with anime
The original sounds like it belongs in Legend of Zelda
For me its games like undertale and omori really. Its calming but at the same time little horrifying
For me, it's sounds like a Minecraft background song.
That and Golden Sun as well.
For me it’s Minecraft
Yes!
Wiz Khalifa sampled the Mac version x Smoke Chambers
Travis Scott and Quavo sampled the Japanese version x How U Feel
yea the original has been sampled in like hundred different songs lol
I knew it was how you feel 🔥
Spot on
that wiz khalifa song goes so hard, one of his best songs imo
Thank you for this! 🙏🏽😂 heard this sample and was wondering where I heard it from…”How you feel” with Travis, and Quavo…fxcking 🔥

this song hits hard
Wow, this one was not expected. You surprised me quite a bit!

I knew I heard that Mac song somewhere else. This song is a gem I have long forgotten.
Both these albums are amazing
“Alone Nugget” hits hard😔
Everybody has to understand that there are only so many melodies that you can do before you run into copying or using somebody else’s.
I love De Marco his vibes are so chill and laid back
This was 2019 when I was obsessed with Cuco, Kali and Joji
Been looking for the song mac sampled. THANK YOU❤
The original feels nostalgic.
Like it's from an 80's anime I watched.

I was into the original artist and got into mac in high school so it was cool to hear with his lyrics

I was literally JUST searching for this song. Thank you, Jarred
70s japan art is heart breaking,
old Japanese songs will always go hard. cause you always end up listening to them in the most random ways
Its like renembering the og songs, it gives you nostalgia, that's what that song secretly tries to do
The interpolation gives weird core vibes.
The original is one of my favourite songs
The synth just adds to it
Mac is really big into japanese stuff so im not surprised
This is a sample done right✅
Amazing to know thanks love this song so much and slowed one even more!
Mac de Marco a genuis, I’ve always resonated with this song. It makes you feel like you’re reliving all your old memories.
that actrully the best indie song
Yes I knew this. I love my soul.
Both of the songs gave me nostalgia that I have never felt
"Alone Nugget" 😭😔

What a murderous connection there. I have such fond memories of chamber of reflections late night working the kitchen at the bar.
He made the music a lot better imo
Bro I hear this song all the time in rdr2 edits lol
AAAAAAAAA I Love this song! Didn't know about this similarity to Chamber of Reflection.
Blud knows every flavour of my jam
2014: sad and depression
1975: relaxation and cure depression
I found this song on a video called "You exist for a reason" and it has helped me a lot
Mac's one just reminds me of anxious past times that I really want to witness again
The interpolation reminds me of Train's "50 ways to say goodbye" when the singer says 'you said we were meant to be'.
Also sampled in “How u Feel” in jack huncho, album bu Travis Scott and Quavo
An interpolation is unintended introduction into something, an extrapolation is a gain from a certain thing through observance.
Love it when the originals are represented good find
So this is the reason when i listen to this song it always makes me feel deja Vu

The japanese one could be like a open world game from the 90s
