Jesse noticed that Walt was bleeding so he probably wanted him to slowly die by bleeding to death rather than having a quick ending by a gunshot. Even if he wouldn't have died from bleeding, he'd still die from the cancer while being in a jail alone knowing everyone he ever loved hates him.
Are we forgetting how Walt tried to kill himself in the first episode but the gun jammed? It’s so ironic when he makes that fake confession tape for Hank and Marie “I’ve contemplated suicide many times but I’m a coward”. He’s the ultimate coward.
1:26 I love the subtle foreshadowing of Walter's eventual death hinted by the license plates that read "LIVE FREE OR DIE." An astute way to summarize his mindset as he neared the end of the road.
The was he says "I liked it" is so incredibly well done, because you can really hear in his voice how much he did like it and why he just couldn't stop even after technically getting enough money for his family. What started as a man who tried to support his family even after his death, turned into something Walter did with a passion and something he didn't feel overqualified or annoyed for. It's ironic how he must have finally felt alive for real for the first time just after getting diagnosed cancer.
Theres a weird satisfaction because we've all been there in one way or another. To finally put your skills and knowledge into something you've dedicated years of effort into, so satisfying. Minus the part getting alot of pekple killed whilst in the process, but still.
@@handsomesquidward5160 There's an interesting nuance to it. It's not about how skilled you really are, it's about Walter's impostor syndrome. He was a good chemist, but it was only when becoming Heisenberg, that he could let himself believe that he was a respectable, skillfull man. It's about his subjective *perceived* worth and skill, not the objective one. That's worth more than anything, pretty essential for being happy.
@@mushudamaschin2608 And there's the crux of the issue; a lack of self worth. Walt was dealt a raw hand by life, shit cirucumstances regarding the founding of a financially successful company, a cancer diagnosois, a job he just simply doesn't feel fulfilled in, and most of all, he just doesn't feel loved or appreciated. We have all been there; obviously this is a piece of fiction, but I wouldn't be too surprised if a lot of criminal activity in regards to drug trafficking/production is down to relatively similar circumstances like this: cancer excluded, as that is obviously a device to give the show a timeframe.
No, it was an ego trip from start to finish. If any of it was for his family he would have taken Elliot's offer to pay for his treatment, and likely could have had a succesful career at Gray Matter since they still respected him as a chemist and never even seemed to have wanted to cut him out like Walt percieves in the first place. Instead, he couldn't handle accepting charity, HE had to be the one to pay for his treatment and take care of his family, so he started his downward spiral into the meth business.
The Wire is the only competition imo I met “Omar” and “Spiros” in person two weeks apart a few years back-both happened to walk into the liquor store I was working and I talked to both of them for a while. MKW passed away about a year later

Most likely because big companies are more concerened about making money than making a good story, so they will make many titles with the purpose of making lots of money rather than making fewer titles and making them, you know, good. Once in a purple moon you'll get really good filmmakers like vince gilligan that just want to tell a story and will put as much effort into it as possible, but for the forseeable future there will be a lot more bad shows than good shows.
I like how most of the scenes in BB don't have any music. One thing that it's the scene on it's own that makes the job, but in the other hand it's like Vince knew people would make edits of them in the future
did u notice that Jesse's first ever kill which he wanted was Tod like after seeing the world and being with HEISENBERG for a year had changed him by a lot he didnt cry like he did for gale Jesse has changed
You are correct, Jesse did change. However, Gale, although not COMPLETELY innocent, was nowhere near as cold as Todd. Todd had the ruthlessness of a killer but the aloofness of a child, treating the death of a child by his hand as if it were walking your dog. All in all, Jesse went through a huge change
@@ninjaguyYT Good point, Gale didn’t take joy in being told that he would replace Walter, but he was affiliated with one of the most dangerous criminal kingpins in the series. However, he is probably one of, if not the most innocent characters in the show
Eventho I don't personally cook meth, but I can see the darkness Walt came into. No emotions, no feelings, you don't feel nothing. Still wanting to make things right. This serie was a complete masterpiece and it brought a lot of joy in my own life. He wasn't a bad guy, he just couldn't take the pressure anymore.
I love so much that with his final act of life, Walter decided to give Jesse what he had been pretending to give him the entire time they worked together: the unconditional love of a father
That phone call to the skylar when he knew the cops were on the phone really showed the depth of Walts character. He displayed himself as an abusive criminal husband to set her free. Rare for writers to have this kind of depth these days.
@@Nemesis_skream i mean thats your opinion but i think Walt is incomparably more evil than saul is. I loved him as a character but as a human being he is the one of the most deplorable human beings in the show. He even admits to skylar he was only ever out for himself in the end.
This makes no sense. If he didn't believe she would think he would hurt them why go through all the shenanigans? He knew she would believe him even before he got there. That's why he made this threat. Otherwise his plan on how to give his money to his family would be completely illogical.

This show is timeless and it forever will be. Thank you Vince Gilligan, Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul and everyone else on/off the show who have worked on it. Thank you for bringing this masterpiece into my life.
Heck no, I liked this show because it knew how to go from beginning to end. No unnecessary seasons that expands nothing on the characters, no filler episodes that serves no purpose to the plot, NOTHING that you see with series that have lost its charm like The Walking Dead, Money Heist, etc for the solely reason to milk money and ruin a good serie. Vince Gilligan knew how to start, develop, and end his masterpiece. If you want more breaking bad then watch Better Call Saul, since it it happens before, during and after Breaking Bad's ending. People like you is the reason good shows get worse seasons by the time goes on, the Director did what he wanted, there's nothing left to solve for BB. I respect Breaking bad for not becoming like The walking dead and actually finishing its story on a good note.

I wouldn’t say walt redeemed himself, but he ended most of his realationships atleast somewhat well,he finally told skyler the truth about how he liked cooking,he freed Jesse and protected him from the bullets, and he’s making sure that the money is going to his family
The first time I watched BB, I didn't make it to the finale and actually got bored right before the climax of the whole show, but the second time I watched it, I realized just how much I missed out on. Him admitting why he did it just tied everything together perfectly.
3:33 Reckon those two are technically responsible for everything? Cuz if they didn't screw Walt over before the show started, he prolly would've been a wealthy man living with his family. Though Jesse prolly would've OD'd or something given that Walter wouldn't do everything
i was young when i fell in love with the walking dead and quickly binged it all in one sitting i later discovered multiple other shows made by amc so i decided to give breaking bad a watch. against my better judgement this has got to be the greatest shows i have ever watched
the best tv show ever made. Walter was his own undoing and the ending was just seeing the amount of damage hes done and coming to that realization. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom to see what you've really lost.
This is an incredible edit and I can't thank you enough for your time and effort making this. My favorite line at the end "Then do it yourself." gives me chills to this day.
The next Vince Gilligan production has to be in 4:3 ratio. Breaking Bad looks great in it, and the feel of the ratio just seems like it’d fit perfectly with his shows.
Ultimately Walter was a very prideful man From the beginning of episode one, where he woke up and saw his trophies on the wall while using a exercising thingy. He had a look of utter “what the hell am i doing?” He only “woke up” and used the cancer and family as an excuse to satisfied both his long dormant ego and soon his all consuming narcissism Until both made him lose everything and killed him
The transformation from an overqualified to a drug dealer more infamous than escobar is just perfect, his legacy will forever last. He is no longer known as Walter White but more as the ruthless heisenberg, the man who killed all of his enemies.
Fear the man with nothing left to lose. Run from the man who had everything taken from him. And pray that the man who gave it all away doesn't come for you.

MFG It's real!

@@mushudamaschin2608amongos
No, it was an ego trip from start to finish. If any of it was for his family he would have taken Elliot's offer to pay for his treatment, and likely could have had a succesful career at Gray Matter since they still respected him as a chemist and never even seemed to have wanted to cut him out like Walt percieves in the first place.
Instead, he couldn't handle accepting charity, HE had to be the one to pay for his treatment and take care of his family, so he started his downward spiral into the meth business.

truly one of the best tv shows in cinematic history
This puts me to tears.
I have and will never been seeing again a better edit than this.
The whole last episode is like it’s own little movie, I love it.
Consequences of ego😢
Ultimately
Walter was a very prideful man
From the beginning of episode one, where he woke up and saw his trophies on the wall while using a exercising thingy. He had a look of utter “what the hell am i doing?”
He only “woke up” and used the cancer and family as an excuse to satisfied both his long dormant ego and soon his all consuming narcissism
Until both made him lose everything and killed him
I've never watched Breaking Bad, but this almost made me shed a tear, and that is impressive
The transformation from an overqualified to a drug dealer more infamous than escobar is just perfect, his legacy will forever last. He is no longer known as Walter White but more as the ruthless heisenberg, the man who killed all of his enemies.
I keep coming back to this amazing creation and the chills still remain during it all. Thank you for this
Glad to hear that
