    The anti reverse switch is just another entrance of the SALTWATER and when it did goodbye reel and another spending for new reel.

      The sedona is a freshwater reel. This should never see saltwater use.

      ?? They are perfect for saltwater use! Ever heard of maintenance? No reel should be submerged! My my saltist mq costs 4x more than my Sedona and after 3 years the Sedona is smoother!!!

    I have bought one 5000xgfj and I have a problem. It doesnt wind well, there is a lot of windknots,,,,using daiwa Jbraid 0,16mm. Braid is normal winded, any idea about a problem?

    • @JPDeRoseOutdoors
      @JPDeRoseOutdoors  9 місяців тому

      Typically wind knots are from twist in the line. Check the bail line roller and make sure it isn’t seized up. Not sure that would cause it but it’s a possibility. If you reel over a spinning drag while fighting fish, that will be the cause of your line twist. If it happened right after spooling, the line may ave been put on backwards.

    Hey JP. When I am on the shimano site it shows that Hagane body and arc spool are features as well. Is that true?

    • @JPDeRoseOutdoors
      @JPDeRoseOutdoors  3 місяці тому

      No, the tech features mentions Hagane which is a concept that is made up of a metal body, or a Cold Forged Gear or X Ship. The reel has the Hagane Cold forged gear, Silent Drive and the G after body design plus Propulsion line management which included the ARC spool

    What kind of drag is used in these reel? Oiled felt or carbon?

  • @WOLFRENO007

    Did it have automatically bail arm closed or by hand manually

    • @JPDeRoseOutdoors
      @JPDeRoseOutdoors  5 місяців тому

      I always close the bail arm by hand on all my reels. It will close if done with momentum but they really aren’t designed to trip easily so they don’t accidentally trip while casting.

    Why did they bring back the anti reverse switch on this new model ? The previous model didn’t have it!

    Is it okay to be used in saltwater fishing?

    • @JPDeRoseOutdoors
      @JPDeRoseOutdoors  3 місяці тому

      Yes but not as resilient as reels designed for saltwater use. Proper maintenance will be important to its longevity like any reel

    Is it a screw in handle?

      I watched a video on another channel and it does not appear to be a screw in handle. I guess we have to pay $20 more for the new Nasci

    is it S ARB tho, and how is it in saltwater?

    • @JPDeRoseOutdoors
      @JPDeRoseOutdoors  29 днів тому

      Not SARB, bearings are ARB. Not really designed for saltwater but with proper cleaning and rinsing and maintenance it will do the job.
