Sometimes, I don’t understand how American parents treat their children these days, especially when they officially become an adult at 18. I feel like there’s not a lot of motivational support in U.S. American parenting compared to European (especially Eastern), Latin American, Asian, Middle Eastern, and African parenting.

Growing up, my mom had a set of rules, like do your chores, had to be home by 930 on weekdays and 11 on weekends, and no bringing random girls over, stuff like that. When I turned 18, she sat me down for a talk, and made some modifications to the rules, like I could go out and do whatever she just asked that I call her to let her know if I was coming home or not so she could lock the door. Respect to the friends mother. She's an amazing mother.
The fact she also recorded this means she wanted to see him break down or react in a pleading way…then post it. Good on him, he handled the situation well.
If I told my mom something like this she’d just say “Yup!” and continue on
There is no fucking winning with her…
I was confused on what evicted exactly meant when this first came out and now it just pisses me off what she did. Just big respect to the mom's best friend, she acted more of a mother than she ever could in her lifetime
What a disgusting woman. She and the guy deserve each other. Glad that young man moved on.
She did him a favor
We are all guests to one another at one point or another. In her old age she will be his guest

That’s fact that she asked him to move back in shows what a pos she is, she would probably just use him and make sure he was broke
She mocked him. Dude is 18, I would be terrified if i knew my jobless 18 year old had nowhere to go.
Id call a friend
I remember I was jobless for over a year before I turned 18 by then the only place that accepted me was McDonald’s and sadly at the same time another McDonald’s actually rejected my application once
It’s impossible in my country to even own or rest a house under 21 years old. Shut is way too expensive and u don’t even have experience to get a proper job
IKR? Just throwing him on the streets with nothing. I have two nephews and the thought of them being on the streets homeless makes me physically sick. This woman is demonic.

Absolutely disgusting and horrendous excuse of a mother 😃 The taunting makes it so much worse, also the audacity of her to ask him to come back home like she didn't just happily give him eviction papers on his birthday. She only wants him back because he got a job and car plus gives rent to a ACTUAL caring and loving mother.
Yea... she is truly evil. Recording and taunting him... my wart breaks for this kid who just smiled through the whole thing, but I know that inside he was hurting.
She really is pure evil. She probably felt pleasure from seeing her son's reaction to the whole thing.
I’ve known mothers that are like this disgusting. I have contempt for them ugh
She doesn't deserve her child or skin
I'm sorry but I don't believe that backstory for one second. Clearly this is a joke eviction letter she gave him on his birthday. That kid never left home and moved in with a friend and all that other BS. You could tell by the video that they're all just playing around

@@eyedunho1537 That means no one bothered to update it after it came out first. The first half *is* the draw.
Now, let's say it *was* fake, you'd have to be the biggest imbecile or psychopath to think and say "fake", when this scenario has played out thousands of times, mom kicks son out, he stays with his uncle/friend/gf/ someone else and then the mom regrets it when the son is working.
@@Resanctify imbecile and psychopath for thinking someone made up a second half of a story for attention I’m just a realist, it could have been what happened or alternatively the son may have never made contact with the mother again….

Was this supposed to be just a funny joke on the part of the mom? I thought it was at first but then it didn’t seem so
And On his actual birthday as a present, to boot.
Idk, people keep saying this but I call my 2 year old bro all the time. I’m mostly joking but is it really that big a deal?
When he starts getting too close to the road or something I’ll just be like, “bro, where do you think you’re goin?!” And he giggles and comes closer
@@mamavswild I think the cthing that made it seem like that is the guy smiling and not arguing or looking hurt. He has probably been hurt so many times that hes used to how she acts and knows that what hurts her most is seeming unbothered

It's what he needed. One day, he might realize it, thank her, and show her the love and respect she deserves like a real man would. Get your priorities right, you only have one mother.
What? He needed to be thrown out on his birthday? He needed to be taunted and recorded? He needed to be thrown out despite his lack of funds or place to stay?
The kid isn't even upset, it's just resignation at this point. You can tell a lot about this mom in how this kid reacted.
Honestly it’s a gift in disguise so he could get her out of his life
you can see the last bit of respect and hope he had for her disappear. Sad, but at least he is rid of the dead weight.
Stepmother did the same thing after my dad passed. She wanted more money and control and I declined. Out of a $1200 check, I was only left with 100 or at times $50. I moved in with a friend, changed my bank account, closed my Chase account and I had more money than ever before. She passed away last December and I had COVID during the week of the home going event. I didn't go. I didn't even prepare a speech.

My mother used to “joke” about buying me a suitcase for my 18th birthday. I was a “problem child” because I didn’t tolerate the drunken abuse of my stepfather. I joined the Marine Corps and found a new family. If your mother is like this, run, find a new family and don’t ever go back. This type of emotional abuse will ruin your life if you let it. Only keep in touch if they make meaningful changes. You don’t owe your parents anything besides honoring them, sometimes that means becoming a better person than them and leaving them in the past.
I'm currently in my last year of high school and plan on joining the Marines after I finish my senior year, partly because I can't handle my grandma's crap.
