I can't imagine what her sister went through. A 7 year old who is with her baby sister. Then she is taken leaving her not knowing what is going on. Then of course finding out later her sister was not coming back. She lost her mother, her sister, and her father's life was changed forever. I'm sure her childhood was completely altered by this. There is no way it wasn't.

How is a child being taken from the hospital by two strangers not enough indication of a kidnapping to the FBI?

    • @rogueraven1701

This happened in 1947, I believe it wasn't until the 1980s that the FBI was able to have more room to get involved in cases like this. Until then, certain requirements had to be met before the FBI could step in.
ETA: Yes, I know about the FBI and the Lindbergh kidnapping, I meant that after the 1980s the requirements for the FBI stepping in to assist in kidnapping cases expanded. While yes, in today's world if a child disappeared from a hospital after a natural disaster FBI would be called in immediately. In 1947, kidnappings were still considered "rare" (not unheard of, just rare) so they didn't have the resources we do today, there was no Amber Alert and there was no plan of action other than look for the child and interview as many people/look for as many clues as possible.

Hey I bet she's over at the hospital! Lets walk over there and see if someone will let us walk off with her. Oh! But put on your nice suit first'; we need to look professional." O_o WTF?! If these guys had been in the hospital and were getting treated and were told they could be released and decided to walked out with her as the left, it would make more sense...but what *actually* happened is so much weirder.

@@smm855 that’s the issue with people like these. They don’t have the conscience to make moral decisions, they only see opportunities. The chaos was an opportunity to snatch their target; which no doubt, they have had their sights on way before this. My bet is that Joan was going to be kidnapped regardless but the tornado created a perfect opportunity for her kidnappers; so they took it.

@@smm855 The problem is that Woodward is a small town, and somebody would have recognized them, regardless of what kind of suit with a company insignia was on it. I'm throwing some pedantic weight around for the lolz. Parent's worst nightmare depends on the individual. Not everyong is a responsible parent. The child was seen by someone one. I mean the two men definitely saw her when they took her away, unless they all were blind.
This kind of tale would make for an interesting segment in it. The child has been chosen for some specific fate, and so needs to be procured quickly right at that moment. Was she truly the child of both parents there? Was she an experiment? Was she secretly Sarah Connor? Dun dun DUN!

The case of Joan Croft left many unanswered questions: who were those men?, why did they take her?, where did they take her?, what did they want with her? The biggest question of all is: What did they do to her? Some people believe the two men may have killed her while others think they were government agents who took her somewhere for experimentation. We may never know what truly happened to Joan Croft or who those men were, but much speculation still surrounds this case today.

Btw I ordered a disposable from CBDX. It realy was pretty good. Is. Strawberry Jam. Nice smooth high. Doesnt last too long but it doesnt take much to revive it. I was really sceptical because we've been trying them all. I'm going to try gummies next. Mainly for my daughter. I hope they work as good. I have never had an edible that did anything...except hash brownies back in the day. So fingers crossed. Thanks for the link and discount🤘🚬

I imagine with DNA testing and Ancestry, it would be possible nowadays to solve this mystery. If her confirmed family were in the database, and she had kids, and those kids got tested, theyd be easy enough to connect.

Remember when Seriously Strange was three bizarre little stories that left you saying "Well, that was seriously strange!" Now it's always murders and disappearances. Maybe Rob got depressed and went Edgy really hard... but this channel effectively became crimewatch. I was one of the first subscribers (on another account) and now I leave these to "watch later". The Why Files became the new Seriously Strange.
