Be proud! In my next life I’m going to do what you do! I was a flight attendant for 10 years, in my 20’s. I’m 45 now and married with kids. Wouldn’t give up my kids for anything - but for as long as you can, enjoy the adventures of life - there is so much out there to see. And I love that you stay out for a while in each location - you really get a taste for how the people live - and that’s so cool!! I have always enjoyed traveling solo - so there is nothing wrong with that! Enjoy every moment :)

an advice- do not make your bed as soon as you get up. first you need to wide open your windows, and take the blanket you were covered off the bed, like put it in half, with the inside part which was close to your body, to be exposed to fresh air. this ensures that your bedding dries from the moisture it builds up during the night, and keeps the bedding clean from acariens. while your room gets fresh air, you can make your morning routine, hygiene. then, you can go back and make your bed. making the bed is not just for the eye, it is for hygiene reasons too. and that is how you keep it clean. have a great day!

Thanks for sharing your insights on nomadic life! Living the life of a digital nomad certainly has challenges. In many ways I am an independent spirit like you - Alina, but we still need to stay connected to family and loved ones for emotional support and inner comfort. Bottom line: Being a digital nomad is dedicated and diligent work that is not visible or obvious to everyone. And you do it well, Alina!!!

Hi Alina, thoroughly enjoy your travel insights into areas of Europe that are not the mainstream , yet you present them better than any glossy magazine might, and in a way that i assume the local population would be most approving of -that is a skill that sets you apart - the exploration of the areas food and wine is most impressive and ultimately triggers the desire to go visit - brilliant. this latest instalment is reflective of your open and honest personality that comes across abundantly and which, i'm guessing is a reaction to many incorrect assumptions about your life on the move - i commend you for your get up and go spirit irrespective of the channel and wish you everything amazing incredible woman !

Interesting walk through the city, I always enjoy all those vendors displays, and enjoying the fabulous places to eat. Also, I have joined Rosetta Stone on a monthly basis and will probably upgrade to the year plan when I get moved to Ukraine as we both will do that together. Alina. My initial response to your change was “Oh no, I really hate to see her as ‘homeless’”, maybe because I have seen truly homeless people on street corners begging. I couldn’t conceive, rather, didn’t want to ever see such a treasure as yourself in that condition. But someone as intelligent, compassionate, and resourceful as you should be able to make her way as a citizen of the world, especially with the modern tools and internet we have today. Any one of us with money to donate would gladly put something in the bank for you, rent a place, or build an extra room for you, to keep you from begging for your warmth and bread, if it ever came to that - sure your mom and dad feel the same. Being nearly 30 (February, right?), you have so much more maturity now. I am amazed when you navigate in unfamiliar places, yet always manage to show us that people everywhere have similar likes, concerns, structures, hopes - humans everywhere are generally friendly and respond to smiles and positive attitudes - this is your ticket everywhere. You are providing a glimpse into places most of us have not been and may never go - especially during this pandemic. Your journeys are challenging, and we cheer for your successes and feel for any disappointments. We genuinely hope for you all the best that you can find, knowing that’s not always enormous wealth. If you measure your wealth by how much you are loved by others, you are extremely wealthy.
So glad you take the time for yourself you need. Many of us know from our experience and careers how much time is involved in the “back end” of such an endeavor: travel planning, making reservations and purchasing, communications, hours of video editing, and vlogging. Indeed, what you do IS a full time job / career. And if you don’t put in the work, you don’t get paid, either subscribers or sponsors.
Aside from showing us parts of the world and that people are much the same everywhere, I wonder if you have come to recognize this or something else as your “life’s purpose”? Will you be able to look back fondly with satisfaction on life at age 60? Where is this incredible versatility and resilience leading? Will you use these skills for some philanthropy or charity? Will you invest in helping young or orphaned children, pets, etc?
You are marvelous to watch and contemplate - a wonderful creation of our God. Wishing you the best, and lots of love - no doubt! 👏🏻🤗
P.s. your Dad - so sweet a guy! And, great music again!

Ahhh. Being a digital nomad/expat and doing freelance online work. This is the life: Wake late . . . no shaving, showering, grooming _every_ single day. No commute through traffic and all that exhaust fumes. No mad rush. No boss, no office politics, gossiping, favoritism, backstabbing. No suits; just work in your pajamas on a messy table in a messy room at home. The drawback to this setup is the tons of competition since everyone wants the same thing.

Very interesting inside look by which we also got another good indirect proof that Alina isn`t drawn to talk to herself out loud when she`s alone and the camera is turned off :) I like your overall balance of performance. But seems that autumn with winter motivate us to respect more natural & healthy sleeping schedule, You know. Many sources agree that, from a biological point of view, the interval between 10:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. is of the highest quality for that. At least I hope that in most cases You have 8+ hours of sleep per night. You managed to create this video very cozy and warm in mood. Interesting seeing what a day in your life is like and also what Macedonia is like right now. I'm surprised that the city you're in only has 100,000 people - it looks a lot bigger.
We've just started travel vlogging and we were surprised how much work there is to do behind the scenes. Editing is a very time consuming process!

The World is your home. With every person you meet on your travels, your family grows as well. I don't know if you know the rock song, but "Wherever I May Roam" by Metallica really sums your travels up. I hate when people put lyrics in the comment section of music videos, but here it is. Sorry. Take care and enjoy the World.
And the road becomes my bride
I have stripped of all but pride
So in her I do confide
    And she keeps me satisfied
    Gives me all I need
And with dust in throat, I crave
    Only knowledge will I save
To the game you stay a slave
    Rover, wanderer, nomad, vagabond
Call me what you will, yeah
Oh, but I'll take my time anywhere
Free to speak my mind anywhere
    And I'll redefine anywhere
    Anywhere I roam
Where I lay my head is home, yeah
And the earth becomes my throne
    I adapt to the unknown
    Under wandering stars I've grown
    By myself, but not alone
    I ask no one
And my ties are severed clean
Less I have, the more I gain
Off the beaten path I reign
    Rover, wanderer, nomad, vagabond
    Call me what you will
    Yeah, you will
But I'll take my time anywhere
I'm free to speak my mind anywhere
    And I'll never mind anywhere
    Anywhere I roam
Where I lay my head is home, yeah, yeah
But I'll take my time anywhere
I'm free to speak my mind
And I'll take my find anywhere
    Anywhere I roam
Where I lay my head is home, I said
But I'll take my time anywhere
I'm free to speak my mind anywhere
    And I'll redefine anywhere
    Anywhere I roam
Where I lay my head is home
    Carved upon my stone
My body lie, but still I roam, yeah, yeah
    Wherever I may roam
    Wherever I may roam (roam)
    Wherever I may roam
    Wherever I may roam, yeah
Wherever I may wander, wander, wander
    Wherever I may roam
Yeah, yeah, wherever I may roam
Yeah, yeah, wherever I may roam
    Wherever I may roam

Loved it! It's really nice, not to mention educational, to see behind the scenes mixed in with the regular travelogue videos you create. Reason being is that 1. It adds additional humanity to you (i.e. we all eat, drink and sometimes binge watch shows lol) and 2. It shows some of what it takes to do what you do which helps me appreciate the amount of work you put into your vlog. The local site-seeing was a great bonus. BTW: That night we saw you editing your video clips. What software do you use to do that? Have fun, stay safe... and I hope you enjoyed those mandarins! :-)

    • @AlinaMcleod

Most gyms are closed right now, so I usually do 3-4 at home workouts from programs on youtube and then I also walk a lot almost every day.

It's mainly from the impact that Eckhart Tolle's book The Power of Now had on me, but I also put it in the place that you would wear a wristwatch to remind me that 'the time is always now'.
