I agree but still can't find 1 video of someone recording a song with external gear in linear mode on MPC. It's 100% possible and there's a couple short examples but that's about it. 🤷♂️
Love how you are showing the versatility of this keyboard. It’s not a one trick pony by any means. Please keep these videos coming, they are super useful.
Hello, thanks for the video. The content shown works with all modern MPCs. I use the MPC One and have several MIDI keyboards in different sizes that I connect to the MPC when needed. Using a powered USB 2 hub, I also connected a 4-way MIDI interface, audio+MIDI interface with mic preamp and MIDI controller, such as Korg Nano Control at the same time as the keyboard. This all works if the hardware is Class Complinent, i.e. works without drivers. So I can always connect the hardware I need at the moment. It's not all in one box, but for that the price of the MPC One is also only about a quarter of the MPC Keys.😀
Hello Douglas, Thanks for the great vid. I’d have a question as I’ve newly purchased the Oxygen Pro Mini : Do you believe that if I connect an old Midi keyboard (1990s Technics SK-KN200) true Midi 5 pins / Midi 3.5mm to the Oxygen Pro Mini, where the old keyboard is used to play (typing notes), and the Oxygen is on a smart Scale mode (for example pentatonic scale) would I see on the DAW (Cubase) the full range octave of the Technics with the smart scale filtering made by the Oxygen?
so the mpc 61 would work on a 2 tier keyboard stand like have the mpc 61 on the lower part of the stand and the oxygen pro 25 or 32 or the Hammer 88 on the top part of the stand so you can control both sounds like piano on the oxygen pro 25 or 32 or the hammer 88 and pad on the MPC 61
Great videos. Can u tell me how i can connect my mpc 61 to my mpc x. which midi cables do i use and which connections. im trying to play the sounds from the 61 to the x just like an external keyboard controller. thanx
Good Day...Music Producer from Philly, PA and one of your Subs here... I own a MPC Live, and plan on purchasing the Key 61... How would you suggest I incorporate and use the 2? I'd rather play the drums out using the Live's pads, and use/play sounds and sequence songs via the Key 61... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated ... Thanks
Do you know if it would be able to sync / midi a MPC Ren as a controller with the MPC Key 61. Hoping to create the ultimate MPC workflow without buying the Key and X SE which would be kinda redundant imo
Is it possible to use an external controller to get access to more q link functions at 1 time. Example...if in sample edit mode... on q link bank 1(1stRedDot)..that represents sample start...q link bank 2 (2ndRedDot)..that is sample end...is it possible to have the q links on the key 61 on bank 1/sample start and external controller with q links assigned to q link bank 2/sample end for quick editing without cycling thru the q link button?
How do I use this with the Mpc Renaissance just plug it in usb and it automatically works🤔. No MIDI clock stuff you have to change? Also I tried to hook my 61 up to the daw and it just stayed on the connecting screen I had to unhook my monitors from my rack to try the thing out. I want to use my audio interface how does that work. I don’t understand why we don’t get a manual anymore. Didn’t get one with my ren, advanced 61 or the key 61?
The whole point of a controller is to use it to play sounds of something else. Why would you try to play the same notes at the same time on controller & Key61? 🤦♂️😅
This question may have already been covered, however, what is the best recommendation on running a Fantom 0 as a controller to the MPC, and I am assuming this will be done the same way via USB.....but would I be able to record some sounds from the Fantom to the MPC via MIDI. thank you
Would you be able to help me ?? I replied to a comment of yours a few weeks back which had inspired me to go out and purchase a Mpc Key 61 I love it and i cannot get enough , but i now want to hook it up to my DAW to record Audio and Midi but i don't want to use the MPC 2 Software as i am very familiar with Cubase that i have been using for years. i just can't seem to get the settings in the MPC Key 61 correct to achieve this. The Cubase side of it is ready and waiting, would you be realy kind and do a really quick video showing us how to do this , as i am sure in the future there will be others with the same struggle?
I enjoy watching people use MPCs for more than just beats.

I have a Roland Keystar Axe Edge can I connect this to my Akia MPC 61????

Can you use the faders on a midi controller to control the levels of the tracks on the MPC Key 61?
so for can the oxygen then in turn adjust all the volumes for each separate track or just the one it is armed with?

Why didn't show ow to control parameters with the Oxygen sliders?
the sustain pedal works if control the mpc with keys?
I have a roland D-05 , how do I connect it to my akai mpc 61 ? Need help
Hi Douglas, how are you? Is it not possible to control the individual volume of the M audio oxygen in this situation?
Try playing the same notes simultaneously on both keyboards... Unfortunately doesn't work without the overlapping notes cutting out.
The whole point of a controller is to use it to play sounds of something else. Why would you try to play the same notes at the same time on controller & Key61? 🤦♂️😅

mainstage cant see the keys 61?, does it need a driver?
If you use the pads, you can play 3!
For me-if you play piano you want to have a hammer action 88 key controller when playing stage piano patches.
For you.
