The Agatha Christie books, The Tuesday Murder Club and 13 Problems are the same book, different titles. I love Agatha, I am also working on collecting all her books. 😊
Thanks Linda! How is your collecting going? Are you getting close?? And, do you collect all of the titles (even if it is the same story) or just all of the stories? Collecting all of the different covers would be really cool, except I think my wife would have issues. Thanks for watching. Have a great week.
Thanks Nigel. I do like the Christie mysteries. Thanks for stopping by. I went over and subscribed to your channel. Good stuff. Thanks for watching. Have a great week.
Thanks Vickie! I am starting The Johnstown Flood later today. I am excited to revisit it. McCullough is a great author. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.
Reading the first Tommy and Tuppence book, not a page turner for me, been a struggle, too many other books to draw me away. I loved Half-Price Books Nostalgia section when I lived in town. I read A Place Called Freedom and and I'm reading his book Never now, among too many others.
I have liked all of the Tommy and Tuppence books, they are very light hearted for the most part, but I know they are not for everyone. A lot of other people say the same thing you did. Sorry about the struggle. It sounds like you got some other good ones going though. I hope that makes up the difference. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.
Alligators! Oh, and I guess the books are okay too. 😉 Glad y'all enjoyed vacation. I don't normally care for the "Americans are stupid" alternate titles, but "What Mrs. McGillicuddy Saw!" is pretty funny. I'm always a sucker for titles with questionable exclamation marks. My favorite example is probably "I Killed Lincoln at 10:13!" Just don't go looking for it believing it could be a respectable piece of historical fiction. Believe me, it is not. 😊
Thanks Bryan. There is nothing better than a little rest and relaxation ... except maybe books! The alternative titles to books is frustrating when you are trying to collect the entire series, especially for someone like me because being the completest, I want ALL of the titles, even if it requires buying the same story twice! Thanks for watching. Have a great week.
It is a very relaxing channel to watch. It always seems to calm me down. I like to watch it right before bed. And man oh man, does he have a lot of books!!! Thank you for watching. Have a great week.
OK, thank you for the recommendation. I didn't know there was a musical. Good to know. I know the description on the back made it sound very enticing to read. I will try to get to it in the next month or so. Thanks for watching. Have a great week.
Thank you. Glad you found the channel. I agree, Texas is a great state. We go there on vacation every couple of years. It's a long drive but it is worth it. Thank you for subscribing and watching the video. Have a great week.
I can't wait for you to read, Killer of the Flower Moon, The Day the World Came to Town and The Great Bridge. I would be very surprised if they were not a great read for you.
Thanks Jim! I have enjoyed all of the Christie books that I have read so far. I do have trouble picking out a single favorite. I look forward to your review of Murder on the Orient. I watched the movie and thought it was pretty good. Have you seen it? The newer one?? Thanks for watching. Have a great week.
Nice for the algorithm to find you. I am a recently retired geography and history teacher in Canada. I am a fan of Ken Follett but struggled with the one you just picked up. Would be interested to hear your take on it. I left a lot of my books in my classroom for the next teacher and the students. Some I wish I kept but hope will be out to good use. Crime fiction favourites of mine are Louise Penny, Ann Cleeves, and Peter May.
Thanks for stopping by the channel Jeff. It is always good to find another teacher! What was your favorite era of history to teach? I will get back to you on the Ken Follett book. Not sure when I will get to it because the reading schedule is very full, but I will try to read it sooner than later. I haven't read a wide range of crime fiction, just a few, but I have heard those names before. I will keep my eyes peeled for some of their works. Thanks for watching. Have a great week.
@@billruttenbergI taught Canadian History, Mi’kmaw Studies, African Canadian Studies, and Global Geography after returning to the classroom from being in admin for twelve years. I probably enjoyed teaching the ACS course the most. There is a LOT to cover and each unit could be an entire course.
Thank you Debs. Yeah, I was pretty excited to find them. I am getting a lot closer to having all of her books. I am probably going to start my next Christie later today. Have you read a lot of her books?? Thanks for watching. Have a great week.
Glad you got a chance to see some of the coast, Bill. Wish you were a bit further inland. I would have bought you guys dinner myself. Glad you found that Dallas HPB. I don't know which one you went to, but I had a chance to visit the flagship store about 15 years ago and I had a blast. I'm happy you found some great stuff, and I hope you and the family enjoyed the trip!
Hey John! We did enjoy our trip. It is always good to spend time with my father-in-law. He knows all the best places to eat down there. I did think about contacting you to see if you wanted to meet, but I wasn't sure what your schedule looked like. I will try to work it into the travel plans next time if you are game. I was very impressed with the book store. They were extremely friendly and helpful and tons of books to choose from. Good stuff!! Thanks for watching. Have a great week.

@@billruttenberg Overall, I still enjoyed the book, but I'm still more of a Miss Marple fan.

Thank you Sydney! Good to hear from you. It was a refreshing vacation - rest and relaxation. Thank you for watching. Have a great week.
The 9/11 book is the basis for the excellent musical Come From Away. Definitely get to reading that one soon.
OK, thank you for the recommendation. I didn't know there was a musical. Good to know. I know the description on the back made it sound very enticing to read. I will try to get to it in the next month or so. Thanks for watching. Have a great week.
Great stuff. Just finding your channel now! Texas is a wonderful state. You’ve got a new sub. Cheers!

Thanks Tina. They all looked extremely interesting, so I am excited to see what they have to offer. Thanks for watching. Have a great week.
That is a lot of Agatha Christie books, I have Murder on the Orient Express on my July TBR (in memory of Alice).
Thanks Jim! I have enjoyed all of the Christie books that I have read so far. I do have trouble picking out a single favorite. I look forward to your review of Murder on the Orient.
