Let's also take a moment for the birth mom.. she was so generous giving this precious gift to other people to take care of ❤
Yes!!! I love that you acknowledged this. ❤️
Yes I feel the same way. I would have cried for her I think. It seemed like her baby was just taken right when she was born. Maybe she didn’t want to hold her but who knows. The most selfless loving act she ever did was give her little girl up. Beautiful.
I think she was generous the very moment she decided not to have an abortion! When she gave the baby to be adopted, she really saved lots of money and kept her independence. After all she was the one who got pregnant! I know it should be terrible to enter the hospital being full time pregnant to leave with your arms empty but there is kind of a responsibility to assume. She was brave and she did the best for the baby. No one said life's easy.
I never said she never did what’s best for her baby..I’m saying like any mother would, she has emotions that are natural when it comes to the human condition and that is grief and loss of her child. No life isn’t easy... that’s why my heart goes out to her and brings me to tears knowing that she gave her precious gift away to have a better life.
And I would never give up my baby to save money...(I might also add that would never choose the path of abortion either and I’m glad the birth mother made such a beautiful selfless gift of love by choosing to put her baby up for adoption.

I was born in January 1964. Adopted one month later. But it was not final for 1 year. For one year my folks loved me and took care care of me and held their breath.Lucky me, I was allowed to stay and they were the best parents. Thank you birth mom. you made the right choice and I love you.
Adoption is wonderful, I know, when I was 3 years old I was adopted. My adoptive parents are gone now but they gave me a wonderful childhood.
Is it not as expensive for someone from Cali to adopt there?
Just my personal opinion but adoptions should not cost 60-80 grand. If a woman wants another woman to parent her baby the government should mind it's own business. Babies should not be sold. Seriously
Kristin Gallo yes and no. It should definitely be cheaper but keep in mind if it was free anyone could adopt and some people should really not be given the chance to do so.
@@Flyonangelwings4 some biological parents are neglectful or abusive. I'm saying that if my teen brothers girlfriend wants to give me her baby (I'm a mom anyways so 1 more doesn't make a difference) then the government should not charge me to raise my own family. In my opinion the government has way to much control over personal lives. Theres no test for who will be abusive and who won't. My father was a coach in a suburb but drank daily and beat me. My husband's mother was broke and alone but his childhood was way better than mine. If 2 women make a decision it should be theirs alone
Kristin Gallo r u for real? I get what u mean about abusive people shouldn’t get given the chance but 1 more child makes a whole lot of difference. Your talking about somebody’s life u know. That child would no longer be a only child anymore, think about the costs and general bills I was a teen mum I’ve got 3 children and trust me that second child was a huge change so make sure you actually think about it. No hate btw.
@@kendraknox8835 not in my life it doesn't. I raised 4 step children oldest is 22, took custody of my brother who is now 18 and I have 4 I gave birth to oldest is 12 youngest is 18 months. So no, one more makes no difference in my life. You either prioritize family or you want things. And my point on abuse is people think a big bank account and good job makes someone "decent" and a good person, but that's not how real life works. Diapers cost about 25 dollars a month, people say it's to expensive to take care of babies, but these same people will drop 800 on a new iPhone every year and spend hundreds on beauty products every month.
@@kendraknox8835 I'm a 37 year old married woman. Lmao. I've been a mother since I was 23. I had 3 in a row on top of step children. I know what taking care of children means. Some of us still like big families.
I gave up my son 34 years ago and there is not a day go by I haven't thought of him. It was the hardest yet most important decision I ever made.
Diane Hamik hugs... Hugs
good or you! takes a strong mama to make that sacrifice
Brave decision . There are steps you can take now to find your son, registries to sign up if he's trying to locate you.
May God bless and comfort you for your amazing sacrifice. I can't even imagine.
God will bless your selfless love for your son he understands your love as a mother no matter who may be his mother now, for all eternity your souls are connected he hasn't really been separated from you , but as a true test of God's unconditional pure love you did an awesome thing and I hope despite the human attatchment we may have that believes we are seperate beings, your true eternal soul knows you walked the talk in the test of selfless love, I hope when you think of him you can smile knowing you were able to put him before your own need or deepest desire to nurture him yourself everything has a purpose the gift you have to another family also is priceless.
'Adoption is expensive' - that just breaks my heart. In england the costs are so minimal and adopting abroad isn't even that expensive from the UK. So strange for it to be pricey, making a profit from adoption isn't a kind act, not at all.
In Germany, it's supported by the government, it's almost for free!
That's America for ya.
@Artoria Pendragon 🤣🤣🤣 What WORLD are you living in!?!? THERE ARE THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF KIDS WHO NEED FAMILIES AND ARE PUT INTO THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM BECAUSE THERE IS NO WHERE FOR THEM TO GO. THE DEMAND IS HUGE. WHERE ARE YOU PULLING YOUR INFORMATION FROM?!?
@@katiem6620 This is in Canada not America.
@@haroldellicott5103 She's right in a way. MOST people want a baby, not a child. This is why typically the waiting list for newborns is years long. What we need is people that will also adopt older children, but that also takes a family that is prepared and very stable since many of these children come with emotional challenges.
My mother's name is Ethel Rose and she is 103 years old Sooo good name.
jessica Rossington that is a blessing
Soooo nice name
That is amazing
I am looking for Ethel Rose Vaughan Dwine, daughter of Compton Vaughan, and Mary Abbie Croom Vaughan, and that's how I saw this beautiful video. Might anyone or you know how I can find this Ethel Rose, please?
My great-grandma’s name is Ethel as well. Great name!❤️
Every baby should be as loved and wanted as this baby is. So sweet
Such an amazing sacrifice to give your child to another family to raise, my heart goes out to the birth mum who put her babys welfare first.
how can there be any thumbs down?? this is a BEAUTIFUL story!!
I agree with you
deff. i agree with u on that part. it must be how they do adoptions there. idk. but yes thats soo sad
Home Love what do you mean? The baby staying with the birth mom for a month before being with her adoptive parents?
Yes...that name. Big Kennedy fans ?
NO todo el mundo está de acuerdo con las adopciones. En España se tardan unos 10 años más o menos y al final son tantas las dificultades que mucha gente no sigue adelante.
Ya vemos que allí es más fácil.
This makes me so happy. Your video caught my eye for the title. My sweet 90 year old grandma passed away a week ago. Her name? Ethel Rose. You picked an amazing name, it will serve her well.
Awww how sweet! Thank you for your lovely comment. I’m sure your grandma will be dearly missed and remembered. ❤️
She's such an amazing momma, she went all of her way to research, learn and took meds to nurse her daughter, this is so beautiful! My heart is warm. She's such an lucky girl! 💗🇧🇷 Much love from Brazil.
I so love that this mamma is breastfeeding!! Way to go!!!
I appreciate those people that adopt and love those children. And for the mother who decided to give her child for adoption, instead of abortion.
I love that you breastfed your baby soon after she was born, what a beautiful way to establish your mother & daughter connection. ❤️❤️
She didn’t breast feed that baby as she had no milk!!!
@@jeanfeeley7786Google it, there are adoptive mums out there who manage to breastfeed their children! It's super cool! ❤
@@jeanfeeley7786 there are treatments to stimulate milk production so that adoptive mothers can breastfeed at least part time.
@@jeanfeeley7786 absolutely not true. A woman can lactate without being pregnant or giving birth.
@@LuckyLuciano7there's no "simulated". Women can breastfeed without being pregnant or giving birth. It amazes me the amount of adults that do not understand basic biology.
Bless you all! After 10 yrs of failed medical procedures and failed adoptions we got pregnant! I had given up and was in nursing school but gave it up to stay home with our baby boy with no regrets. Congratulations and enjoy!
Oh wow! What an incredible story you have!! What a miracle. How lovely that you can stay home with your son!! What a gift 🙏
This video made me cry so so much. They're going to be such incredible parents to that little girl.
7 weeks ago I gave up my daughter for adoption. It was the hardest decision I have ever had to make. Congratulations on getting picked for that beautiful girl. I have an open adoption with them so can see her whenever I want to.
Wow!! What a selfless, loving and heartbreaking decision that must have been. That takes serious courage and strength. I can only imagine just how difficult that decision was to make. How beautiful that you have an open adoption and that you can still see her!!❤️ We have an open adoption too and I’m SO thankful for Ethel’s birth Mom. She will always be a part of our lives and Ethel’s story.
I just got invited to her baptism in a couple weeks. I’m super excited to get to see her again. Haven’t seen her since she was 2 weeks old.
Oooh how sweet! You must really be looking forward to seeing her and the family. I hope it goes well and that you also feel really loved on that day. ❤️
b&d exploration We will keep you in our thoughts. I hope you have peace.
b&d exploration you have made one of the most selfless decisions any woman could ever make and should be truely proud that you not only made the best decision you could but you also created a family xx
One thousand kisses a day...the recipe for a wonderful family.
That is the cutest baby @Ethel was my favorite Aunts name who lived an amazing life to the age of 98....I wish a Long@ happy healthy life to Ethel Rose 💙🙏💙🌈

Que niña! Tan afortunada, oremos para mas familias se encuentren!!
I'm happy for this couple but can't help but think of the birth mum, her courage and selflessness. If you are seeing this birth mum I think you are the real shinning light of this story and I'm praying that you are ok x
Yesssss!!!!❤️❤️❤️
She is absolutely adorable and beautiful! Congratulations!
KISSES FROM POLAND 🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱 Adoption in Poland is free. When I hear that Adoption costs So much, Im So upset...
Madame , Monsieur , votre démarche est admirable !!! touchante , émouvante , votre amour et affection pour cette enfant transpire et elle; deviendra sans aucun doute une personne superbe , cela me fait un bien fou.
Aww~The absolute COURAGE of a Brave Birth Mom and open HEARTS of Loving Adoptive Parents🙏💝🌠:)
I pray God is blessing this beautiful child's birth Mother ❤
Beautiful story :-) So happy for you all ! Your baby is sweet. My daughter gave two of her babies up for adoption. Both are open and we get pictures and updates. It truly is a gift that keeps on giving for all involved. I know both of my grandchildren are loved and cared for.
Oh my goodness, how beautiful is she?!?! Her name is so adorable! Congratulations!! Blessings on your family!
Beautiful!! The birth parents that choose to do what is best for their child have my upmost respect. I know it is the hardest most painful decision they will ever make but they loved their baby enough to want a better life than they can provide. That is the most selfless love any child deserves. They give the answer to so many prayers of people that can't have their own child. It also shows blood doesn't make love. Love is as full and as beautiful as it should be. Thank you for sharing your journey and hurdles so many face to become parents. Best of wishes and health to your family
❤️
What an absolutely beautiful gift bio mother has given you .. to personally choose you and ask for you to be there at the hospital.. must have been so hard yet fulfilling for her .. and beautiful for you to finally become parents x
How beautiful, she is very cute. May the Lord bless your family life!!
I just can't believe this .... for 82 years I have had the name Ethel and have been teased, short named, and told I should change my name but I could not because I was named after my grandmother and I adored her. I hope your darling wee girl can handle it also.
It really goes to show how big the Heart is, i bet they wouldnt love any different if they had made me this Baby. Its clearly thier Baby, this makes me so Happy. God Bless you two and your little Blessing
Thank you!! ❤️
What a beautiful story and baby!!! You guys will be such wonderful parents!!!!! How can anyone giv a thumbs down??????
Haha thank you so much for your kind words and enthusiasm! It means the world to us. ❤️
Incredible job by the birth mom by giving happiness to this lovely couple
Thank you for acknowledging her ❤️
I cant imagine growing a baby inside my belly and giving it away after 9 months. I have a girl of my own and i can cry only by thinking about it
Wow nice
Well with all due respect not everybody has the proper support to be able to keep their baby... Jus sayin
@@heatherdooty5665 i know, i just cant imagine giving my baby away. I come a very poor time while i had my baby. I had 200 euros per month to travel with train and feed myself. I crawled out of that world to make sure i made enough money to support my baby. It was'nt planned i had her. Sorry bad english, english is my second language. Im just saying if you realllllly want something.. you'll work it out. The bond you create with a fetus is magical. Not seeing that baby turn into an adult.. breaks my heart
Me too, it really hurts me sending my baby to a daycare while i go to college, but i have no choice.
June 21st is my moms birthday 😊 the summer solstice 🌞 a day of sunshine beamed down into your life! Thank you for sharing your story its absolutely beautiful
When you said, "that was the day we got the call" reminds me of the story my mom tells when she found out she was matched with me! I was only 2 days old when she came to get me 💗 I will be putting in my papers to adopt this year! Congratualtions guys!
❤️
This is so beautiful! The birth mother is so amazing to give you such a beautiful gift. This made me cry like a baby.
Me too
Beautiful video, thanks for sharing your journey. Bless the birth mother, little Ethel and your loving family.
what a lovely home! stay happy & healthy, baby Ethel Rose!
Congratulations! My grandmother was Ethel. I didn’t know the meaning, love that, and have not heard anyone else use it. Very happy for you!
What a lucky little girl ❤ And peace to the birth mom. 💕
Thank you!!
What a beautiful &’moving video.
How wonderful she is perfect & gorgeous & wish you all joy & peace always.

Oh how stunning to be a mother and to have a baby in the house. Hope she brings you lots of joy.
Thank you! Our hearts are full ❤️
Thank you for shairng! As someone who recently learned that I was adopted, it gives me a sense of the joy that my parents experienced when they adopted me within my first month. You'll make amazing parents!!! God bless you!!!
“That’s when you realize everyone is a bad driver” says every new mom!!
Such a beautiful story
She is such a doll.
I believe the people that disliked we’re too caught up crying and missed the like button 🥺💖💖
She is the most lucky little daughter ever
Well, as an adoptive mother I must to tell you that the couple is the lucky ones 🥰🎈🌺

So happy to see an adoptive mother breastfeed! Wish more women would try to do this. Beautiful family!!!
Yes, true... but HOW!?!?
@@SimplementeYesenia76 There are medications which cause lactation, but a woman can also induce lactation by using a breast pump regularly. It's time consuming, but so worth it.
What a beautiful story, my brother was adopted and both him and I grew up in a loving home just as your darling Ethel Rose will, I wish you joy as new parents and sending big hugs from Ireland for Ethel Rose!🇨🇮
Cue the tears. What a beautiful story! My baby had the exact same due date! First day of summer
Awww yay!!! Yes our babes birthdays are coming up SOON! How does time fly so fast?? 😭❤️
My goodness is she precious!
Thank you! ❤️
Simply. Perfect. 👼
Many congrats & blessings on your tiny bundle of joy! ✨💖
Let's give thanks and say a prayer for birth mom. She's the true gift. I can't imagine giving up either one of my boys. It's stomach churning. Heartbreaking. She is the one who who deserves every single thought, positive vibe, and love.
Congratulations on y'alls family ❤️ she is so beautiful and precious

Little baby Ethel Rose, soooo cute. And you guys are all smiles! Wonderful video of what happiness is. Thanks for sharing.
What a beautiful baby!
She is a bundle of love! But you both too!! May God bless you all.
Oh my goodness! She is one of the most beautiful babies I have ever seen! I can see you guys read the Bible, how awesome!! Our heavenly Father always provides for our needs! Thank you for sharing this heavenly story!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow thank you for your kind words! Yes, our God has us in His hands, every step of the way. Oh how we’re grateful for that!! ❤️
Pity he didn't provide for the poor mother to keep her baby!
I did not know you could nurse if you haven't been pregnant. You are amazing.
Fay Dove I agree with you
OMG this was so sweet!
A delightful couple. Happy they
now have a little one. All the
best.
Awwwww. I'm glad your adoption worked out. My spouse and I just had a disrupted adoption last week. Trying to muddle through.
Ugh I’m so sorry that it was disrupted! I can only imagine just how painful and frustrating and saddening that must be! Are you guys hanging in there? Leaning on our close friends and family during the ups and downs of our adoption journey helped us to feel like we could keep going. Hoping you feel like you can lean on someone close to you too! Sending you guys big hugs!❤️
@@thetbos6566 We're actually ok. It was sad for the first week they took him away, but we met the birth mom in the hospital. After talking to her for close to three hours, we're sure he'll be loved.... just not by us. The way our agency works is that the placement fee is held in escrow until next baby comes along. We'd never put the brakes on our decision. The right baby will find us - hopefully sooner than later.
Wow, what a journey this has been for you guys. It must have felt like your heart was being ripped out of your chest when he was taken away from you. I can only imagine. How incredible though that you were able to take Keith his birth mom and connect with her. The knowledge that she will be taking care of him, and loving him must have made things a little more bearable for you guys. Sounds like you’re such a kind and thoughtful person. You’re keeping things in perspective and focusing on the future. Praying that your future baby comes to you soon, and that your heart explodes with so much love!! Believing it will happen!❤️
*that you were able to talk to his birth mom...
Your story warms my heart ❤
Awww congrats! She’s beautiful!
