Timeless classic entertainer who in his time, was king above all - when NY was in its golden age. A good man, who was good to kids, and his family. A funny and handsome man, w mega talent.
He worked clean, he was hilarious, he loved his work, and he never had an enemy in the world. Harpo Marx may be the only other vaudevillian to be able to make that claim.
Danny Thomas was a total, conceded prick. He actually thought he was the greatest entertainer in the world. He treated crew like shit; hollered, screamed and would fire people on the spot if they didn't move fast enough for him or give him the scraping bowing respect he thought he deserved. But to those out in the audience, he was the nicest guy in the world. How do I know? I was there. He thought he could fire me when he was guesting on the Carol Burnett show back in the day. I was in the props department. It was over an imagined slight to the great man. There are a lot of DT stories out there and a lot of us old guys are still around to tell them.
I saw this the night it aired and recorded the audio on reel-to-reel tape. I listened to it so many times I could recite some of it. Nice to see it again for the first time in 58 years. Thanks for posting the video (and how did you acquire it)?
He was a Lebanese thespian as was his daughter, Marlo. In spite of this he was known to be allowed to go to church and genuflect in front of little children.
What is your point? Danny Thomas' origins were in Lebanon. Big deal. He was Christian. Many Lebanese are, but so what? He also is the founder of St. Jude's Children's hospital. Got anything more to say?
up here in 2019, Danny Thomas is just not funny anymore. To bad. He was once a real panic. When he played Slapsy Maxie's in Los Angles, the line went around the block.
And the Beautiful Planet Earth 🌎🌍. Danny Thomas is a beautiful human being ❤. Thank you
God bless you Danny.
A Great Humble Loving Intelligent Beautiful and Caring Man. A Man that is true and honest to himself. ❤

Max was playing off of one of Danny's routines. And Danny was the only man in history to have stained glass windows in his limo.
Not funny at all.
You must not have a sense of humor.
Danny Thomas was the one of the best storytellers who ever lived period.
Agreed. Not funny.

On the contrary, Thomas is timeless.
He'd be packing them in tonight if his agent hadn't died!
This set is terrible
You were expecting maybe Christopher Wren?
@@5610winston At least Gilbert Gottfried.
