I think it kinda explained when Venom told Eddie “you didn’t find me, I found you”. The symbiote chooses who it likes and Venom plan was to come on Earth and feed on the planet, but the bond he formed with Eddie made him change his mind and help him.
Lmao that asian lady at the store was indeed mad calm and composed after eddie just blatantly cannibalized someone in plain sight like that "Oh eddie.. what was that?", like eddie was just out there doing a cardtrick or some shit
Lol. He actually did say why he suddenly liked Earth. It was Eddie. He said he liked him so he cared about Earth now. I actually liked this film. Maybe because I didn’t have any expectations beside Tom Hardy’s good acting. The worst part for me was his no chemistry-having relationship. I felt nothing. You couldn’t convince me that these two folks were in a real relationship.
Michelle Williams was dryer than Michelle Phiefer in Scarface in this movie. Also she went from engaged to living with another dude in six months?! Whole romance plot was trash and completely unnecessary. And how was venom good with tater tots at the end of the movie when they made him sick before?! Next one definitely needs to be Rated R.
Remy LeBeau I so agree about Michele Williams. She needs to stick to period pieces where little to no expression is necessary. As for the tater tots, I think he got sick from the old stinky chicken he ate from the garbage.
Remy LeBeau I thought so too. I thought that was why the other hosts didn’t make it... but I heard that chocolate keeps him from biting folks heads off... kinda like me during PMS. Lol. Sorry for the TMI.
Eddy didn't want something living in him. That's why at the end he was calm. But the other guy had plans for this to be a thing with humans. He wanted it so why would he have fear? Eddy stated he felt great and was only hungry so I believe that was why the guy adjusted quicker.
TBH, there's not much to spoil about this film. If you seen the trailers you pretty much seen the movie. The movie was pretty paint by numbers. There were no real surprises. Other than She-Venom randomly showing up. & I guess the mid credit scene but that was a rumor going around already
I appreciate your review. Everyone else's is basically "I'm going to say it's good b/c the critics say it's bad. It's bad, but it's not bad bad." In grade school, whether it was a D or an F, it's still a bad grade. Other reviews trying to give a D+. Keep doing what you doing .
When I saw the movie was roughly 1h30mins I knew it will be a rushed movie. The Eddie Brooks/Venom dynamic was cool and the sequel better be rated R 😑.
I liked the movie, but that’s probably because I didn’t expect too much out of it. I did get a little confused during the dialogue, I didn’t know if someone was talking to Eddie or Venom. The next one isn’t going to be rated R. This first one made too much money for them to try that.
The reason why they're making them PG-13 is because they want to make a Tom Holland Spiderman cross over and they know Disney ain't with the rated R shit.
Oh ok. So your main gripe is that it wasn't Rated R - along with all the possibilities that rating would've given the movie. I get that...and I do agree. For some reason I still liked the movie, though. Maybe I'm biased because I'm an Iron Addict and I can tell that Venom hits the gym at least 4 days a week. And Venom never got throat-punched by Thanos like my other favorite character did.
They rushed the idea and the story quite a bit, and still made you wait an hour before venom appeared. And it wasn't rated R so it had no chance. Sony just needs to stick to playstations cuz everything else they attempt is a failure.
I just didn't understand why Venom had a face like Spiderman (eyes of his mask) if he never touched Spiderman... (I just respect the original story how Venom became venom in the Spiderman story line)
What got me at the end, he walked into the store and it had to be at least 6:00pm He wasn’t in that store for no more than 5 minutes but when he walked out it was dark outside, damn near midnight 🤔 That made me mad because it was such a small detail yet so noticeable
i chose to skip this movie because it’s Sony. And it’s not rated R, and I’m broke. If I’m spending money to watch a movie one time I want it to be good
Another thing I hate was the dialogue from the Villian. He always had something philosophical reference. Like man, speak normally. But this was a funny insight.
They did explain why Venom wanted to stay. He said basically he was considered lame on his planet. But here he was cool and he liked Eddie. So he decided to stay. I agree about the no blood. I couldnt figure out what was missing and that is exactly what it was. He ATE a whole dude and said he had a parasite. Everybody juat went on with their daily lives. No.....i needed more. It was more of a comedy movie for me.
I don't get why they made Venom PG-13. Venom was created in 1984, a bulk of it's fans who followed Spiderman/Venom were probably born in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. I imagine only a small chunk of the fans were born after 2005. I was interested in seeing Venom, the rated R version, but I'd rather not waste my time with this watered down movie. That's like making Blade a PG-13 movie, just doesn't work.
Carnage - Rated R...a must. As for Venom, didn't feel the tension. The movie felt "copy-catty" and what's up with the little girl and an amber alert? Hardy as the voice of Venom was cool and the back-and-forth was the most interesting part. No re-watch potential. Outdone by Upgrade.
This movie was rushed and it was full of flaws, should have been rated R for sure and it had mad plot holes but I still enjoyed the movie due to the banter between Eddie and Venom.
I enjoyed the movie and actually thought it had too much violence to be PG-13. Venom’s personality made this movie good. Venom was funny but still a monster that’s always looking for a good brawl (or feast).
Venom merged with a dog and it learned loyalty and wanted Eddie to feed him and take him out for walkies. That's why he decided to protecc earth. (I'm kidding) I feel like the producers thought the movie was gonna flop and just fucked everything (like cutting 40 mins out of the film to take it from R to PG13 to make back as much money and hopefully a profit by widening its audience). Tom Hardy and his interaction with Venom was the only thing I found interesting and entertaining (even if not completely solid) to the point that I think he pretty much carried the movie.
My problem with the movie is it suffered from Hulk movie syndrome where you have this larger-than-life main character but yet you keep giving them military personnel and mercenaries to kill and there's no way I can believe your strength because you keep fighting people that's smaller than you and from the comic book standpoint Venom should not know his name is Venom that's not his real name but I did promise that I won't compare to the comics
Imma be honest I liked the hell outta this movie. Yea it was from the 90's and damnit WHERES THE BLOOD!!!! BUT, The dynamic between Eddie and Venom, the action, and the acting of Tom Hardy was outstanding!!!! Idk maybe i'm biased cause I'm a huge fan of Venom. But I ain't lookin too deep into the movie itself and I liked it.
I enjoyed this review a lot and i think these reviews are great as a whole but when you said you're not watching the sequel if it's pg-13 & carnage is in it, i subscribed lol
Tony they said they found them on a comet that they came across when they were looking for places to inhabit in space. A comet was out there that had biological readings, so they took some. You know, normal dumb rich bad guy shit.
Tony talking about watching the Black Goo while talking me about his relationship- YES. IDGAF about this damn relationship fam.....what the hayel is going on in that room?!?!?! #realtalk
This movie should have been rated R.. for the simple fact that venom wanted to make a pile of head and a separate pile for bodies smh.. and you’re right if carnage isn’t rated R I’m not watching it.
You made great points but I still loved the movie. Just to see venom on the big screen and Hardy’s portrayal was pretty good. But I couldn’t argue with a lot of your arguments
Yeah Rated R woulda been better! I really liked it and am excited for the sequel. But yeah I agree that some parts were unclear like why Venom suddenly changed his mind. Also, great point abt the villain not having any sort of adjustment period esp. as opposed to Brock being sweaty, hungry all the time and freaking out and talking to himself in public.
I agree with just about everything and it was definitely rushed. But I still went and saw it three times. Eddie and Venom's dynamic was just worth it to me, I had a lot of fun watching it. Next one def has to be rated R tho.
They mentioned they found the Symbiotes while mining an asteroid, and they were going to use them to make a new stage of evolution so they can survive in space/on another planet when the world inevitably becomes uninhabitable.
Agree with most of the points you made but it was still an okay film. Tom Hardy was great as Venom for sure! Definitely believe if Venom was rated r, it would had been better. Carnage need to be Rated R.
TONY BEEFING WITH MOVIES OUT HERE. I seen it I had low expectations going in so I wasn't disappointed. Could have been better kind of lazy writing. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAKE THE NEXT MOVIE RATED R CARNAGE IS A RATED R CHARACTER AS WELL AS VENOM STOP PLAYING SONY💩
I think the sequel will be PG13, but I'm choosing not to be offended and instead I will pretend I'm watching a 90 minute cutscene for a Rated "T" "Venom" game exclusive to PS4. Games cast real actors nowadays anyway; it's not a bad way to reframe the film AND my expectations.
I loved Venom - it was so funny and my son liked it as well. I just wish they decided if it was going to be funny or serious. I wish they would make a second but much better
The sequel definitely has to be rated R...its carnage.
It's not going to be
That's exactly what I said about venom
Simon Raminhos yeah I said it too. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Dave Filmz that dont mean shit. This was venom and they made it pg-13. They already ruin this franchise.
LORDE OWS THE KING They could turn it around if they make changes. Stay hopeful champ.
Let's go to human trials.
We haven't scratched the surface on what is this thing.
Let's go to human trials.
Spot on Tony👌🏾 they definitely rushed this movie. Tom hardy did a great job though
Damnit Tony, i didn't know Venom was in this movie, cool it with the spoilers
🤣
Kadeem The Dream He spoils everything! 🤦🏻♂️
LMAO!!!
What theirs a movie and it has venom In it??? DAMNIT! Spoilers are Everywhere
😂😂😂
18 years, no beverage 🤣🤣💀
I’m always here for the spoilers 👏🏿
Ellis Posley omg me too. I hate when I’m mid panic and nobody will spoil it for me.
Romario Rodrigues if i got robbed at gun point every night by the same guy and he got eaten one night?! I would turn a blind eye as well.
@@Silent_Shadow sure but the fact that it happened in front of you should cause some concern lol
@@rubberbandman3rd nope lol, they didnt eat me so I didnt see shite

Right cuz not even the sight of san Francisco will change anyones mind to destroy the planet
The rating was the worst part about this one. The sequeal better be R!
Michelle Williams was dryer than Michelle Phiefer in Scarface in this movie. Also she went from engaged to living with another dude in six months?!
Whole romance plot was trash and completely unnecessary.
And how was venom good with tater tots at the end of the movie when they made him sick before?!

Remy LeBeau I so agree about Michele Williams. She needs to stick to period pieces where little to no expression is necessary. As for the tater tots, I think he got sick from the old stinky chicken he ate from the garbage.
Paper Mario I thought he had a problem with anything that wasn’t alive. But yea. Michelle Williams and her face were hella dry.
Remy LeBeau I thought so too. I thought that was why the other hosts didn’t make it... but I heard that chocolate keeps him from biting folks heads off... kinda like me during PMS. Lol. Sorry for the TMI.
Paper Mario I too have nearly bitten off a head or two during PMS. You’re good 😂😂
Remy LeBeau lol. Monthly auntie Venoma
Eddy didn't want something living in him. That's why at the end he was calm. But the other guy had plans for this to be a thing with humans. He wanted it so why would he have fear? Eddy stated he felt great and was only hungry so I believe that was why the guy adjusted quicker.
I don't want you to worry about Eddie and I, you know, its-its just-
I'm not worried about that, what's this thing in this room?!😂😂
Truthfully I think "Jimmy Carey" would've be a better casting for Carnage... (My opinion)
Not my first choice, but a doable change of pace!
I never knew!
TBH, there's not much to spoil about this film. If you seen the trailers you pretty much seen the movie. The movie was pretty paint by numbers. There were no real surprises. Other than She-Venom randomly showing up. & I guess the mid credit scene but that was a rumor going around already
especially since all the action scenes are in the trailer smh

I want somebody to write a script and cast you as the dude that provides 4th wall commentary who says what the audience is thinking.
That intro was straight facts. People click on a video that CLEARLY says spoilers than go in the comment section complaining and disliking smh.
The reason why they're making them PG-13 is because they want to make a Tom Holland Spiderman cross over and they know Disney ain't with the rated R shit.

We need a Tony's hands compilation video or a ✋ T-shirt
TONY!! Where you get your hoodie from?! Need to know 😁👍
I just didn't understand why Venom had a face like Spiderman (eyes of his mask) if he never touched Spiderman... (I just respect the original story how Venom became venom in the Spiderman story line)
Yeah that storyline was much better. But guess they didnt want Spider Man in this movie.
What got me at the end, he walked into the store and it had to be at least 6:00pm
He wasn’t in that store for no more than 5 minutes but when he walked out it was dark outside, damn near midnight 🤔
That made me mad because it was such a small detail yet so noticeable
Tony Baker and myself share the same feelings for this movie yes Carnegie MUST BE RATIED R
i chose to skip this movie because it’s Sony. And it’s not rated R, and I’m broke. If I’m spending money to watch a movie one time I want it to be good
Another thing I hate was the dialogue from the Villian. He always had something philosophical reference. Like man, speak normally. But this was a funny insight.
The spoilers make me want to see it
One of the symbiots escaped and crashed the ship
Yeah, I ain't wasting $9.50 at the theater for this. EVERY I MEAN EVERY review I've seen has been trash. I'll wait for Redbox.
Tony, your movie reviews are brilliant!
The symbiotes only killed their first host, the ones in the lab bonded once then died.
I don't get why they made Venom PG-13. Venom was created in 1984, a bulk of it's fans who followed Spiderman/Venom were probably born in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Yeah the similarities with Upgrade were undeniable and Upgrade did it better
Hey Tony! Do some old reviews like Terminator and Aliens. I would love to see you do those!
Your reviews are so on point, I agree100%👏👏👏....I love your videos!!🎉🎉🎉
Great review and I enjoyed it and I'm gonna to watch it and have a blessed day
Spot on review. Not as bad as I thought it would be, but bad nevertheless.
Best review so far 😂😂😂
I love this video this the best 👍💯 spoiler review I can't spot laughing😄 & crying @ the same damn time 😂😂😂
Venom merged with a dog and it learned loyalty and wanted Eddie to feed him and take him out for walkies. That's why he decided to protecc earth.
(I'm kidding)
I feel like the producers thought the movie was gonna flop and just fucked everything (like cutting 40 mins out of the film to take it from R to PG13 to make back as much money and hopefully a profit by widening its audience). Tom Hardy and his interaction with Venom was the only thing I found interesting and entertaining (even if not completely solid) to the point that I think he pretty much carried the movie.
Thank you for this second review
Everything you say they didn't explain... They did explain. Everything else I agree with
My problem with the movie is it suffered from Hulk movie syndrome where you have this larger-than-life main character but yet you keep giving them military personnel and mercenaries to kill and there's no way I can believe your strength because you keep fighting people that's smaller than you and from the comic book standpoint Venom should not know his name is Venom that's not his real name but I did promise that I won't compare to the comics
What about the last LAST scene?
The viscosity of one’s haemoglobin that’s what makes a good match for a symbiote.
The movie was MAD funny too. Venom the symbiote was hilarious.
I enjoyed this review a lot and i think these reviews are great as a whole but when you said you're not watching the sequel if it's pg-13 & carnage is in it, i subscribed lol
Tony, I believe the symbiote mainly works with those who have strong negative emotions
Certainly Douglass and thank you for the compliment...😀🦁🦁
It's a diehard must! Like If deadpool can be rated R then Venom should be triple rated R carnage should be 5 R's
Tony they said they found them on a comet that they came across when they were looking for places to inhabit in space. A comet was out there that had biological readings, so they took some. You know, normal dumb rich bad guy shit.
I agree with you on all your points!
" if I see black goo come out of someone n start roaming around, I don't give a damm about my relationship at that point" My feelings exactly!
Tony talking about watching the Black Goo while talking me about his relationship- YES. IDGAF about this damn relationship fam.....what the hayel is going on in that room?!?!?! #realtalk
I think the movie Upgrade was a much better movie.
I was not expecting to like that movie as much as I did. Really interesting movie.
I agree
I didn't go see this one because it was pg13 but if the one with carnage is pg13 I will riot with you
I feel like if they didn’t use the venom character and connection but kept the script this movie would’ve been legendary lol like avatar level
The spolier was the actual script.
Hey what are the exact cruises you are going to be preforming on next month
12:14 agreed
OH TONY BAKER! I THINK YOU GONNA LOVE THE SECOND MOVIE! CARNAGE LOOKS SICK AF!!!! AND ITS DEFINITELY RATED R!!!!
I feel like u have to kno about the venom character an his exploits before watchin the movie
I felt like knowing more actually made this movie worse. IMO
VegasBorn92 like a double edged sword
This movie should have been rated R.. for the simple fact that venom wanted to make a pile of head and a separate pile for bodies smh.. and you’re right if carnage isn’t rated R I’m not watching it.
Keep in mind that Riot was on multiple hosts and none of them had the sweating or fidgeting adjustment period.
They said in the movie that they found the symbiotes on an asteroid that showed signals of life.
Even tho you put it in the name, I like how you still say in your video SPOILER! lol great vid. 4/5 saxophones
Thanks for letting me know they had carnage in the movie I saw it bootleg and they cut the end off
You made great points but I still loved the movie. Just to see venom on the big screen and Hardy’s portrayal was pretty good. But I couldn’t argue with a lot of your arguments
I absolutely loved Venom. I've been a Venom fan for over 15 years.
DAMN! The side dude was more believable than the main one 😂😆😂!
Yeah Rated R woulda been better! I really liked it and am excited for the sequel. But yeah I agree that some parts were unclear like why Venom suddenly changed his mind. Agree with most of the points you made but it was still an okay film. Tom Hardy was great as Venom for sure! Definitely believe if Venom was rated r, it would had been better. Carnage need to be Rated R.
They did say where they were found and why the astronauts picked them up.

The symbiots came from an asteroid...that's what I got from the movie.
Sad thing is they already comfirmed they making the next one PG-13 smh
I compare this movie to dumb fun movies from the 80's like Friday the 13th part 8: Jason takes Manhattan. If you don't take it seriously, its ok.
They explained in movie that they found an asteroid where they found the symbiotes
I feel like if I watch It again I'm gonna like it 2x more
I think the sequel will be PG13, but I'm choosing not to be offended and instead I will pretend I'm watching a 90 minute cutscene for a Rated "T" "Venom" game exclusive to PS4. Games cast real actors nowadays anyway; it's not a bad way to reframe the film AND my expectations.
Man I miss these damn reviews 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
They have similar foods. A symbiote sticks to a host because of diet. Eddie ate a lot of chocolate and that's a good substitute for brains😁😁😁
I loved Venom - it was so funny and my son liked it as well. I just wish they decided if it was going to be funny or serious. I wish they would make a second but much better
Hey Tony what about the jazz review? Aaaaahhh yeah.
It did look transformers like 🤣🤣
The samples......🤣🤣🤣
