    Great vid. You showed respect to the one who taught you. That's so rare. Keep up the good work young man.

    Nice work! Experience will tell you sooner or later to shut the door on your truck to keep stray sparks from setting the interior on fire! I preferred to work off the back of my rig to protect the glass from welding and grinding splatter, especially on a windy day!

    Josh invest in some speed sew . save your old coveralls to cut patches out of . At night you can glue the patches on the out side or inside of your coveralls, in the morning you will be ready to go . Avoid washing your coveralls unless you are ready to patch otherwise washed coveralls will catch on fire a lot quicker . Patching will afford you to use your coveralls twice as long . I've even used old welding glove gauntlets and layered them like singles on badly burnt up areas . a little stiffer but worked really well . Done pre patching on new coveralls as well . Also use a stapler to hem the bottom of your coveralls the threads burn out down there to . Staple from the inside out . Doing good young fella

    Thanks for this video, Josh! Great content. I’ve been wondering how to correct the chain slack and the resultant “hiccup” on the beveler I use at school. I’m looking forward to graduating in a month and getting on as a helper for someone!

    I am looking for a beveling solution for on field application which is also mobile and portable. I am basically with a firefighting contractor and most of our jobs are in highrise buildings and new factories. All our pipes are Sch 40 and the maximum diameter is 6inches. We do have 8inches and above sizes but thats very less and mostly in the pump room where we can take our time and do it manually.
    The major time consuming activity is the pipe network to be run throughout the building and this one looks a bit bulky to move around and setup. Every other joint I have to make is atleast 6 mtrs away from the previous one. We currently use hand grinders for this.
    Also i am aware of grooved fittings but they are more expensive in my country hence majority clients ask for welded joints.

    Brilliant! This is very, very good. Something another guy was telling me was that he soaks his shirts in heavy starch to make sparks bounce off and not burn holes in them. True or not?

    • @joshuariewestahl8086
      @joshuariewestahl8086  5 років тому +2

      Bill Cyrus very true. Go to the dry cleaner and ask for welder starch or super heavy cowboy starch. I need to start starching my shirts.

      If you want a beveler that will last you a lifetime, buy direct from H&M. Short of crushing it, or breaking the anodizing, they are fully repairable machines... And you're supporting small business.

      We have 2 good pre-owned that are made by H&M Pipe co in Tulsa Oklahoma. H&M is the leader in manufacturing these bevelers. Watch of channel as we start selling of oil field tools, and more. Bear dw in Tx.
