I've always ran a straight tip and then adjusted for the angle. I like the idea of using the bent (I call it a scarfing) tip. Always leaning new tricks. Love the videos bro keep em comin!!
That's it man I thought we going to weld something I've always known them things to be called a scarfing tip that's the type of tip that we use to remove weld metal in a hand torch when I was growing up you had to learn how to use one of them before you can use a gouge I've never seen one on a beveling torch looks like you did an excellent job
I love your videos, I learn off of everyone!
I need to get me one of those to put it on my new welding rig
Have you ever seen or used the Rigid electric beveling machine? Seen it used on another youtube channel. Looks pretty sweet.
Do you have to supply your own misc. equipment? Bevelers, grinders, drills
Or does the company provide them?
Same question for consumables: rods, grinding discs, cutting discs, etc
On most cotract jobs we do. so on this job everything you see in the videos i bought and use. gas, welding anything that has to do with gluing the pipe together.
Thank you for showing this. Never used one of these I always used a plasma cutter on a chain

what angle is your cutting tip set at.
Awesome video as always, very informative. Keep em coming!
That is neat
i'm sorry im not familiar with the beveling machine, does it matter where the hoses go?
Faustino Avalos the bevel machine is what helps you cut square. The torch is where the hoses hookup. I'm glad you mentioned it cause I'm sure a lot of people don't know. We will do a video on it.
Witch episode gives the information on getting into Scholfield welders helper pool???
Very nice truck like jed said, we need a rig tour pretty soon!
Huge fan of your content and the educational videos, i like the Dave Stamey reference too!
How do you know it's going to cut square? And do you need to own your own bottles first?
how much is a bevelling machine? i wouldnt know bc my contractors supply them lol. sawyer all the way though.
G Loyd a man I don't remember what I paid for my sawyer when I bought it but my mathey 2-4 and 3-8 was about 1,500.00 for both they where bought used. But when o bought my last set they where brand new the 2-4 was like 1,200 and the 3-8 is right around 1,400 give or take some.

Very Good idea, making a vevel .......
What quick connects do you use ?
Bro from where got this? Please
Wonderful videos.
nice
I was taught to turn oxygen off first.
i dont think it matters its become a habit. hopefully it dont matter lol been turning it on and off for quite awhile now
Haha we all get taught differently. Love the videos man!
Actually, you shut the oxygen lever off first to prevent potential blowing out the bevel.
If you set everything right, you can shut your acetylene off and cut with straight oxygen.
