A tip for those draping garments that have a distinct shape such as a peak at the waist or it has to go over a full skirt, it is best to drape over the skirts or corsets or foundation garments you will be wearing with the outfit if its petticoats or bustles or bum pads so that the bodice or garment will form the correct shape and it will prevent the garment from looking like its being forced into a shape that its not used to such as if a jacket has to form over an 1860s hoopskirt or an 1880s bustle or some other garments used for structures

Yes! I try to make my undergarments first like if I know I'll be wearing a custom corset or even which bra. So I can drape and fit to the right shape.
