I think when people say kuroko is unrealistic they mean how consistent the players are. No one thinks a full court shot is imposible, but midorima makes them at 100% rate. The miracles make highlight plays from NBA stars as consistent as a lay up. Also as the series progreses auras similar to last one kagami got are really frequent making it feel like dragon ball, I like them but i can see why people could find them to much.

Not sure how much of a soccer guy you are, but I wonder what you’d think about a show like Blue Lock, which diverges from typical sports animes, which are usually about teamwork and forces coming together, by having very individualistic themes, and seeing what happens when you put together a bunch of players who all play the same position

Gotta make a few minutes to relax when you see a Coach Donny reaction. The comment about how midorima's form doesn't change on those super long 3's, you're absolutely right. From what I recall at later point(s) during the anime (or in an OP?) it shows him really putting his whole body behind some of those shots

I dont think Midorima was modelled on Steph Curry since this anime first aired in 2012 and the manga probably existed way before that. So we should assume that most of the characters here are modelled after NBA Superstars prior and during the mid 2000s

Coach, Midorima (green hair) does not want Kuroko to go with him to the same school, he hates that Kuroko choose a new team that according to him does not bring Kuroko strength to full potential, he was in the champion team so technically he could choose from best of the best high schools but choose a school with team that only began last year, it is waste of his talent and time according to Midorima, especially as everyone else from the generation of miracles chooses to go to powerhouse team.

  • @xXunkillableYoshiXx

I feel like this was unrealistic in terms of growing up watching 90s ball but in the modern NBA the way coaches have learned to use high volume three point shooters now a days this is much more reasonable JJ Redick was talking about it on his podcast how he played a generation too early and he would have fit the High volume 3 point shooter role on a team easily

The creator is a huge NBA fan and there are so many good NBA nods coming up that we want you to see too but we don’t want to spoil them all for you. This anime came out 2 years before Haikyuu so that may be why you feel it’s slower. Think back to DBZ and how much slower that is.

Sorry, I'll be unsubbing so I can sub to the anime-reaction channel. Due to them being uploaded here, I used to watch your other videos (as a result of coincidental browsing) but without a reason to stay on this channel I will just have to see what content gets uploaded there. I really enjoy you as a content creator and I respect everything that you do, but I'm not the type to stay subbed to a channel where uploads just clog my feed with things I won't be watching.
When the channels were merged, I didn't mind it since the volleyball videos and athletic training videos were something that kept your name in my head and I knew that it was content, at least for me, in the interim of reaction video uploads (by the way, I like you reactions period so they don't have to just be anime and I would watch you as I'm sure a lot of people would because there's a large "reaction channel" community.
Anyway, I hope that you don't see this too negatively as I really do enjoy watching you regularly but as this is your choice I hope that all goes in the direction that you'd like for it to go. You say that the 2 communities don't have much of an intersection but I'm a nerdy, anime-watching athlete so it's a shame that you feel that these demographics are divergent.
