Since I found this record for Lucia, I can't help but listening to it every night and evertime it really brings tears to my eyes. Not only her voice, not only the song and not only her violin but it's the feelings she's giving to us and the amazing story about her dad ❤❤
It's so cool kinda to see the audience tearing up before she even sings the song, just telling the story you can tell it landed hard with some of the crowd.
WOW!!!!. I had never heard of her but i just saw her in The Christmas Bow on Hallmark and I was telling my wife that it looked like she was really playing the violin. Then I look her up on UA-cam and this video came up and now I am a fan for life. What a talented and beautiful woman. This video brought me to tears.
She is a Very well qualified violinist. She just sings on the side. ; ) To get a true appreciation for how outstanding a violinist Loosh is, watch "Mi Mancherai" by Josh Groban.
I just watched her on the Christmas Bow aswell and I fell in love with the violin listening to her play. She's also a really great actress and singer! In the movie when she sang in the market I was really blown away. Now I hear her sing this song her Dad loved and play the violin aswell, I saw her shed a tear and I cried too. Watching this you can see she is also a beautiful soul. I feel lucky to have found her on UA-cam after being blessed by watching that Hallmark movie. I am now a very big fan. ❤
I echo the sentiments of many. I knew Lucia as a great violinist and cellist who knows no musical borders and one who plays with her heart and soul laid bare. But to discover that she is also a wonderful singer puts her in a league of her own! May God continue to bless you for everything that you are.
Wow. I've never seen such a shared sorrow between an audience and performer. I was crying right along with everyone else in the audience. How powerful. To then be able to perform so sweetly and completely after that ..wow. What a talent and what a loving daughter. This video gives permission for all of us to feel things. Maybe about our own Fathers. Maybe someone or something else. But it gives us permission to feel and that, I think, is the reason the arts exist. Bravo to this artist and her band.
Just finished seeing her live on Josh Groban's Harmony Tour -- and OhMyGod...this is one of the most moving pieces I've ever heard her perform. Lucia is an extremely talented and authentic person; she is kind and funny and so giving of herself to others. Thank you Lucia for all you do, and I am lucky to now know you as never before. You bring just your unique touch of joy to us all through your music.
Lucia, you play so masterfully and so beautifully. The highest compliments that I can pay to any musician is that their music and playing deeply move me, and yours do. I am so hoping to attend your March 16, 2023 concert at Chapman University's Center for the Arts.
I listened to this song from lots of artists but didn't feel any of it. This one is completely different, Lucia's performance, her voice, her feelings, everything is completely different. Can't find the words to describe it but it's really out of this world. Lucia, thank you for this record, you are really the best. God bless you...
Thank you for sharing your story of your Dad. My Dad had Parkinson’s disease as well. It’s almost been six years, the Lord I believe gave me a song to remember those last two years. The song was Paul Cardall, Letting Go. Was a hard time in the family and emotions run high on how to handle all of what’s happening to your dear, dear Dad. I am very thankful that Dad did except the Lord two years before he passed and lost his ability to speak at the very end. I first heard you play with Chris Botti, Emmanuel! No words!!!! Magnificent, exquisite performance . You are so talented! Thank you for sharing your story of your Dad, touched me very deeply.
This is so beautiful. The incredible thing about music is if anyone suffers from memory loss or has any trouble with memory, music will help restore the ability to remember and I do believe that it causes a creation of more brain cells where others have been damaged. I have a whole region whited out (damaged), however, after the discovery of damaged cells (diagnosed MS), I had created playlists of music (since 2009)and I can remember the songs and their order. I still do this today as it is indeed music therapy and is essential. What happened with your father was a miracle and a miracle that comes from music. You have an amazing voice and I believe it stayed with him in his mind and in his heart.
WOW, Lucia, I had no idea you could sing so beautifully. I know of you through your violin (which is exquisite....see Emmanuela (on UA-cam), with trumpeter Chris Botti - one of the most beautiful exhibitions of music that can ever be heard......it is heart renderingly hauntingly mesmerizing...........at the end Chris Botti called you a SuperStar, no adjective was better placed.
How could you did it so terribly, emotionally - heartbroken, tearful song. How could you did it so beautiful, moving, touching and yet sorrow. How could your song bury so much love and beauty. How could you make me speechless. How could you.
Thank you for sharing your story. Been a fan since I started playing the violin in an orchestra that was envisioned by my late dad. He used to love music. I also have this one song that I can't help but tear up whenever I sing it: Leader of the Band. Lost him 4 years ago, and it still stings you know. And I stopped playing the violin. But maybe, one day, I can return to playing it again.
Lucia, your story about your Dad made me so sad. With you and your Dad it was sharing music; with my Mom and me, it was watching American Idol twice per week for around 10 weeks at my Mom's house. After the show we would discuss the performances and we soon discovered that we both liked the same person as our favorite singer. Each night after Idol, my Mom always had a special homemade treat to share with me and then we watched another program on TV together. I look back now and see how special this was because I actually made time in my "busy" life for several weeks so I could spend some quality time with my Mom, never thinking that she would die less than a year after we watched Idol together.
Thank you for sharing that beautiful story. We had a similar situation with my Mom and her Alzheimer's. She struggled with it for over 20 years and passed away last year. Music and her ability to harmonize long surpassed her ability to communicate in other ways. I'm so glad that you two still had music to share, such a blessing. Beautiful performance too. Thank you!
Lucia...you have changed forever my ability to hear this song without thinking about you AND your experience communicating with your father. Life is all about nothing more than time and how each of us get to spend it! Or not! Listening to and hearing you play this particular piece is for me treasured time! From the bottom of my heart thank you!
Lucia, I have relatives that have Parkinson's disease, so I know what your father went through. What a great tribute this video is, to your father. I have tears running down my eyes. May God rest your father's soul in peace. I know your father is in Heaven. God Bless you Lucia, God Bless your mother and God Bless your father. Lucia, you are a part of your father. May God give you and your family good health.
You are the super star!! Just knew you from your performance with Chris Botti on "Emmanuel". And you have amazing voice too!! I can see emotions from your performance, song, facial expression and body language. You're a wonderful artist.
I heard this in a cab yesterday. I don't usually ask for the music to be turned up, but I had to for this. So emotional, thought-provoking, genuine and beautiful. Thank you :)
Time after Time. An old tune made brand new by Lucia . That song had been waiting for you. Finally, brought out of the dust bin by the girl 👧 it had been waiting for.........all these years! Thank you Lucia!!!! The accompaniment is perfect! No unnecessary adornment! Keep this tune tucked in your pocket Lucia. You never know when you might need it. This tune will never let you down!!!
