Man I'm glad I came across this Dr. My Dr. got me using a needle so long, after 24hrs I barely can walk on my leg for using a dang shank needle. Takes a week for pain to ease up.

Informative video, thank you. I’ve been self administering for a year now. I thought you couldn’t use a 1/2 inch needle to administer in the quad, because it’s “ too short” and needs to go deeper to ensure it goes i intramuscular. If I can use a 30 gauge 1/2 inch I will definitely do that instead. Once in a while I inject and I feel a slight pain once the needle is all the way in. Not a good feeling. Thank you.

I was told to wait until the alcohol dries before injecting, then leave the needle in for 5 seconds, withdraw it and then immediately massage the area. I use a #22 needle.
Thank you for this. I've had a heck of a time going from 23 ga to 21 ga trying to inject this stuff. I didn't know it was supposed to take a while to inject. Not saying my medical folks didn't tell me, but I sure didn't catch it. I'm gonna try a 30 ga next time. The shorter needle will be welcome, too. I have a lot of muscle tone in my thighs and was worried the 1.5" (?) 21 ga needle was going in too deeply.
8 seconds ? I do 27G and it takes a minute, if i go faster i will have painful lump for a week.One advice helped me is to not take out needle really fast when you are done.

Just be careful not saying docs wrong but when I changed from 23g to 25g I found I got a lot more PIP understand everyone different
@@CeltKnight Might not be the case also. In europe we have only sustanon 250, so its a mix of compuonds and probably lots of people have alergy for one of them. Saw a crazy bodybuilkder who does 1ml in couple seconds and dosent have problems with lumps or pain...
30 gauge .5 inch ok for deltoid and glute too?

well wish i seen this i just did a shot in my rectus Femoris muscle the top part of my thigh...guess this is going to hurt for ever ?
I'm always carefully but eventually I end up with a sore quad shot.

He means the insert of the needle is pain free. You’re still causing damage to the tissue though so a little tenderness afterwards is normal

Pain free? How? Injections in the thigh risk the most post injection pain. Get a flashlight and put the light right on your leg in the dark, there are veins all over the place. Then look at your shoulder, no big veins.
Should you not aspirate first, before injecting?

Practice sanitary practices and you’ll do just fine. No need for gloves

You don't have to aspirate for thigh IM injections because there's less risk for injecting into a vein, but do need to for other sites. You shouldn't use gloves for a self-injection, but yeah wash hands. I know this is an old comment so sorry if you already knew/found out

All wrong ... needle way too small and im not even going to comment on leaving an uncovered needle on a counter 🤦🏻♂️
Bro unless you’re a medical doctor, nobody cares either. I’ve used his method for years with Zero problems.
