Or as leadership… we should get rid of boards…. They are ridiculous and they NEVER produce the best fit candidates based on the board itself… Give me a guy that can’t board for shit but knows his job and people inside and out any day over a political parrot….
The Board is nonsense and should be abolished. it's just an opportunity for high ranking NCOs to intimidate junior enlisted whose not able to swat or regurgitate a bunch of unnecessary stuff. I did two boards while deployed in Poland, I did well on both, but it was just nerve wracking and very intimidating for no reason
I've sat on many boards during my 20 years in the Army, and I'd have to say, he's right. These are good tips.
