    I was sure you would love it :) I confess...I'm one with the high end machine. When I became disabled I also was depressed to think I couldn't cook or bake. So with settlement , bought everything to make my kitchen usable for me. I do much with the processor and just knew you could do things faster than ever and easier on hands and joints. I make potato pancakes in mine. Of course, potatoes for hash browns too. Make cole slaw in seconds. Lately biscuits as well. I have a dough blade and dough setting. I've seen it done with a blade as well and quick pulse. I'm sure you have been enjoying it...this video ...what a year ago? Hope it didn't bite LOL . I do have to put mine in dish washer...just not trusting any blade type with my mobility issues. Actually wish I could have gotten one years before I did. Oh...did I forget...thin slice deeply chilled beef for peppered steak or chinese food. You can also chop meats for best ever meat loaf or burgers. Well sorry my chatting got long. I'm bored .

      You know, I dropped it and broke it, but got a replacement. I sue it all the time. Peanut butter, pie crusts, even butter.

    I just bought one and noticed on page 5 - underneath the Warning about blade sharpness - that there is a NOTE saying to operate only one blade or disc at a time. Also, I'm pretty good around sharp things but the chopping blade nicked me as I was washing it. It is REALLY sharp.

    I love you Debbie. I finally decided to use my Hamilton Beach ( like yours) and we learned it together. I love your commentary. Happy holidays.

    I got this same one last year when mine died and I like it very much, there is one thing I don't like, I do those baby carrots shred and slice and I find they fall threw the finger holes in the slicer grater blade a lot and so when I do them I cover the finger holes with tape, other that that I love it. It made batches and batches of salsa last year.

    Just a note the little plastic tab at the base of the handle that goes into the motor breaks. I used mine twice the third time it wouldn't come on and upon a closer look found the plastic tab was broken. You have to purchase the whole bowel. Only need the plastic plunger.

      Oh, I am. I have gadgets that I hardly every use because I am so used to doing things by hand. I finally started using my Kitchenaid to knead bread because of arthritis in my hands, but I would still prefer to knead by hand.

    I've been trying to figure out how to use this to shred carrots. I feel like an idiot for trying to feed them through the chute.

    I really enjoyed the review you did especially the way you explained plus you actually used it. Thank you I would like to know if you would still recommend this processor, are you still using it?

      Valeria, after several months I dropped it and broke it where the lid fits on. I bought the newer model because I could not find that exact one I like the newer one, but I prefer the one I reviewed because the bowl is a little bigger on the first one, but the replacement works great. I would still recommend. You can see several videos where I make peanut butter, pie crust and butter. Just a great little tool.

    Thanks for the review! Can this Processor imulsify too?

    • @DebbiesBackPorch
      @DebbiesBackPorch  4 роки тому +1

      I have made mayonnaise in it, so yes, but I have to say the stick blender does a better, quicker job. It is so big you need to be making a large amount for it to emulsify properly, as when making butter. It works great for peanut butter. NOTE: I dropped the original one and broke it. I got the new model that looks a little different but works the same as a replacement.

      It will slice potatoes thin. I haven't tried cassava. I have not tried it for kneading bread, either because I use my Kitchenaid, but it works great for pie crust.

    Can we knead dough in it?

    • @DebbiesBackPorch

      I don't think so. The blades would cut the gluten strands.
