      Let me tell you that thing is my mult. worker. I make pet food at home, and sometimes I don't have time to chop the meat into bite size pieces. (Weekdays) I just pop the meat into it and let it "grind" the meat down. Ground meat cost more than whole meat which tells me I am paying to that convenience, no thank you.

    I used my new Cuisinart 14 to make homemade Lara bars yesterday. Cherry ginger....1 1/2 cup almonds, 1 cup moistened dates, 1/2 cup black figs and 1/2 cup dried cherries, 1 tsp fresh grated ginger. Whiz until it clumps together, mash into an 8 inch square pan lined with paper and chill before cutting into bars. YUM!

    So excited to have found your video. Even 2 years later. 😊 I found a super sale on a Ninja Pro and grabbed one. One suggestion that I'd like to add is- when you're making sausage, hamburger, any meat product, add sliced zucchini in with it. It never changes any flavor but increases the amount of meat you have by taking on the flavor of whatever you combine it with. Even 1,/2 meat and 1/2 zucchini never changes the flavor.
    I can't wait to start using my Ninja. You made it look so easy and so much fun!

    We have 2 working blenders and I was wondering why the need for a processor, but this video just sold me on it.
    We had one a few years ago, but the thing broke after a few months, so we didn't bother replacing it. But since we're cheering for 'team healthy' once again, a food processor seems to be a must have. That, or just eat corn bean salad for the next few months... It tastes awesome, but no thanks lol (there's more to healthy, tasty, and low calorie than just corn bean salad).

I use 1 c of mejool dates, 1cup of cashews, 1 cup of coconut with 2 t bls of but butter, 2tbs of maple syrup and a pinch of salt a splash of vanilla. Combine and roll into balls. Really good. I make nice cream quite a bit. You can add a splash of vanilla for vanilla or cocoa powder for chocolate. I make my own almond flour as well. Very informative video I enjoyed it very much just recently bought a food processor as I’m getting into making my own foods and preserves I’ve even started to do my own butchering. There is two things I would do a little differently however when making butter I would squeeze the buttermilk out of the butter and a good way to do this is to run it under a cold water tap as you squeeze out the buttermilk this will make the butter taste a lot better. As for ground meat I would never buy a roast and cut it up to be used for ground beef or ground pork. First of all most of the time there’s not enough fat for ideal ground meat you require 75 to 80% meat, to 25 to 20% fat. I know some people freak out and think that isn’t healthy however animal fat is one of the healthiest fats you can eat as your body will process it extremely quickly and burn it off unlike many other types of fat it’s just like an eating in life everything in moderation. The reason why you at fat to your ground meat is so it is flavour some because with ground meat you have to cook it all the way through and if it is just meat cooked all the way through it generally isn’t the most tasty. You cook the ground meat all the way through to eliminate any forms of bacteria that would be harmful to you when you have a steak the bacteria cannot get inside the meat therefore you can eat it medium rare as by cooking it on each side you’ve eliminated the bacteria unless of course you’ve tenderized it pushing the bacteria into the centre of the meat which means you would have to cook it more to eliminate this problem. If I were you and you wanted to make your own ground meat in a food processor walk into a butcher and ask him to get you trimmings of the meat you wish to grind up. This will be small chunks of meat that will come with the fat you can then select it all out and make a great ground meat and it will be even cheaper than buying a roast. I do have my own meat grinder as I’ve started to make my own sausages and I go to the butcher and ask for trimmings so I can make beef and pork sausages. Also started to use my food processor to make my own patties and a different herbs and spices I can put in is great. Hope you don’t mind the tips and comments I ramble down for a bit but I’m finding making my own foods great.

    Great video! Will have to try making butter and mayo. I already make my own salsa and you are so right, so much better than any store bought kind. I add a large dill pickle, which may sound weird but is actually yummy. I also make my own grated Mexican 3 cheese blend. You can use better quality cheeses and then not only is it cheaper, not covered with powder to keep it from sticking, it tastes better. And we go through it too fast for it to get clumpy. I also freeze the cheeses for about 30-35 minutes before I grate them up.

    For longer keeping purposes, the newly made butter should be rinsed a lot. (wrapped up into cheesecloth or muslin) and rinsed then squeezed until the water runs clear. The buttermilk will turn the new butter rancid quite quickly, but if you're only making enough butter for use for the day (or so) it's fine. If you use the muslin/cheesecloth, the buttermilk can be reserved for use in other baking.

    You can do lots of stuff with the grater: think of vegetable pancakes, made of grated potato, zuccini, carrots. Or you can make healthy veggie waffles with them.

    I recently bought a ninja food processor and I use it for making pizzas! The dough hook works fairly well for making the sticky pizza dough. Then I use the regular blades for chopping my San marzano tomatoes with some basil and salt, and then I use the slicing blade or shredding blade for the cheese! If you’re waiting on a food processor, just go for it.

    I must say, the day i realised you can rasp pumpkin with the food processor changed my life :))
    But i think it's also important to mention that what you can chop, depends on your food processor. I have a medium priced one and it can only knead dough for a minute max before it overheats. There's also a special blade for crushing ice and there's many warnings in the manual not to use the other blade for that. Better to read your manuals before trying something your food processor can't handle :)

    A food processor makes a quick shred of zucchini. Squeeze dry the zucchini afterwards in a kitchen towel (salt then drain for min. 10 min.) then mix with parmesan cheese and season. Form into flat patties then air fry for 18-20 min. Top with sour cream.

    NOTE for making caulliflower rice: Learn from my mistakes: You need to "Blanch" the caulliflower first by boiling for a couple minutes and drying it off) before making the rice. Im not sure why but it wont survive the freezer otherwise. it turned into a weird yellow thing in my freezer cuz I missed that step!

    This was SO helpful!!! THANK YOU!!! I live alone and entertain semi-often. I make a lot of hummus, etc. I decided to get a small food processor/chopper since it's just me most of the time. However, the reviews on all of them are so bad. The highly recommended food processors are always the Cuisinart 14 cup and the Breville 12 cup. Two questions please...1. Is there a 7 or 8 cup food processor that YOU recommend?....2. What food processor do YOU use at home? I can't tell you how much that I appreciate you!!! I always learn so much from you.

    You can add a little olive oil or canola oil into your butter, to help it spread more easily when it is cold. You really can't taste it in the butter either, if you only use a teaspoon or two.

    • @one-eyepadidally8449
      @one-eyepadidally8449 2 місяці тому

      Canola oil isn’t good for you, but adding olive oil is a good idea, as it also helps raise the smoke point of the butter a bit if you end up putting it in a pan.
